There are private and public schools and parents know which one they
should put their kids.

No muslim will put their kids in a catholic school and start complaining that

I know of several government schools where hijab has been used for years with
no one complaining. This is because the ownership of such schools was very clear.

What a sensible government will do is only fund schools that will follow its rules.
It can also seize all hybrid schools and expel their current management.

No need for threats or court cases or yearly media war.

A lot of people sha get brain but have refused to utilise it. These people roaring have failed to weigh things from the other angle that if Christian parents opened their eyes and send their wards to an Islamic school say for example, An-Sarudeen, the parents have no right whatsoever to complain that their wards are being exposed to praying the Islamic way. The rules are always clear when it comes to schools that lean towards religion.

A Christian missionary school is what it is. To avoid stories like this and unnecessary brouhaha, send your child to a school where his/her religion is tolerated..! Shikena..

It's only trouble makers that will do otherwise. And it's apparent that there's a sinister move behind all these. A move to belittle and rubbish the other religion. More or less another silent war!

I have fixed my pof since May 2019. I finally submitted sometime in May of 2020 and i am awaiting PPR.

I am extremely short of funds right now and i am thinking of withdrawing part of my POF to meet my needs right now.
The funds will be put back within a month.

Will this affect my chances of getting my PPR?

If you're for real, then on a serious note, I would advise that it's more sensible to look for somewhere to take a loan now to neutralise your needs and then pay back with the money you're so sure will come within a month's time.

This one is way tolerant that the referee in the recent CHAN 2021 hosted by Cameroon but because of low patronage of African football, it didn't make the headlines. Just like a typical aggressive North African player, a Moroccan player was really annoyed that the referee had blown against him and I reckon he must have peltered the Ref with inappropriate words more than the Ref could take as he came dashing towards the Moroccan guy and ended up squaring up head to head with the said player. He even made a contact with the player. While the other players were trying to calm the Ref down, he was reaching for his card as well.

You need to see how testosterone and adrenaline surge could fuel a man's anger over a short period of time in that match! Quite a rare situation you will see a referee. Funny enough, the Moroccans were leading the hosts 2-0 at the time but the North Africans, as we know, always play with this passion as if they are losing!

How does the public policy exemption thing work ? I received ITA in November 2020, birthday was in December and I submitted e-apr in January. I believe my points dropped after by birthday but also read of a public policy exemption that could be applied but don't know how it works. Is it automatic or I have to apply for that too ?

As someone said, your age is locked post-ITA but your CRS points will indeed drop after your birthday on your CIC account. That's nothing to worry about though as it's partly stated in the ITA letter and clearly in the exemption 'decree' that loss of points after ITA as a result of events like birthdays which is beyond the applicant's control will not cause IRCC to reject your application.

Pls see attached screenshot of an ITA letter for evidence.

The original poster didn't provide much details about their background. On here, certain preconceptions seem to be the norm. We tend to assume that every poster is French naive. We tend to assume that every poster resides in Nigeria.

All he could advise was L doesn't have to be 8 for someone who claims to have Masters and below 30. You know too well that with that help seeker's info, no way he/she would gather up to 420 with an IELTS less than 8777. And since this thread started, page 1 has always recommend at least 8777.

And as per your submission about misconceptions, it's the duty of anyone who wishes to offer his/her time to be diligent enough so as not mislead anyone by asking the party seeking help all the necessary details he/she before jumping to a conclusion. The other alternative is just to walk past the enquiry post.

My point is, the person you're defending might indeed have a pure motive but he gave a wrong piece of advice and should have simply accepted that and move on. Nobody should feel above mistakes and thus can't be corrected.

What went wrong is quite obvious ma, it's the NOC you altered.

For a way forward, either option you already mentioned will work. If you can't bear seeing an ineligible profile (as you can never delete it) each time you log in, then revoking the old GCKEY and creating a new one using an entirely different email is the option. If you won't mind the ineligible profile though, just create a new profile with your present GCKEY.

According to you, people should not only spend 79k for IELTS but rather than Max it they can get whatever score they like and sit for TEF that’s about 160k if I am not mistaken excluding the fees for classes and time needed just because getting an 8 in Listening is not important.
You are very smart ...

TEF Canada is presently about 190k and the Naira is still falling. Plus one has to engage the services of a good tutor (or tutors) which will cost at least 35k monthly for about 8-10months for one to be realistically ready for the TEF Can exam.. And then it's not just beans to get that additional 50points earned from scoring B2 with EO proving the main stumbling block for most non-native speakers. Some write the exams about 3 times before getting that appreciable additional points.

Not to scare anyone willing to go the French way please. It's doable but with lots of gut, commitment and sacrifice.

What’s your point?? listening doesn’t have to be 8 , if listening isn’t 8 what’s the use of the result because she’s short of 50 points If listening isn’t 8 if reading and other modules aren’t 7.
Why did I keep retaking IELTS if listening didn’t need to be 8 ?
Going by the current trends if you don’t max out there’s no space for you due to competitiveness. So listening must be 8 I am in my house come and beat me.

I was shocked to see such advice that L doesn't have to be a minimum of 8. Even 8777 in LRWS nowadays for those within the golden age of less than 30 with masters and 3years minimum job experience struggle to fetch ITA without maxing out at least 2 of those modules in addition; and if with spouse, such spouse, if accompanying, must at least provide at least 7777 for 18points and also evaluate Academic credentials to stay competitive.

One-and-same-person affidavit should come to the rescue according to the thread. In my opinion, continue using your maiden name until you're done navigating this journey to avoid unnecessary complicity. But either way, the choice is always yours to make ma.

Just like you, I had an encounter with a moniker that goes by a female name (a derivative of the name Chinwe actually) and asked me to send a PM way back when I posted that I needed a contact for one of our transcripts. S/he claimed to be a PhD student in my former school and that s/he would like to help and then offered a 4k reduction in his/her price as compared to what the school charges normally. Me, that I don't even trust the blood brother I never had. I sha kuku played along and enjoyed all his/her Ronaldo-like dribbles while our convo lasted.

To cut the long story short. It was a story of "Lagbaja, nothing for you". I kept a close tab on him/her afterwards here but fortunately for him/her, there was just only two other more posts from that individual before he/she deactivated. Funny enough, months later, I saw a new moniker with a similar derivative with just rearranged letters and I knew immediately he/she is still with us. Back then, he/she told me that PPR was being expected. This new moniker gave testimony of how he/she just passed IELTS.

We just have to be very wary in this thread. I pray none of us ends up losing our hard-earned money to this evil people without any form of conscience as they keep laying their booby traps of scams everywhere. AMEN

That said, this thread is still replete with very great ambassadors you can ever imagine. I've met with few of them and those relationships I already established will be ones I'll forever treasure even after achieving that Canadian dream.

My dear, snake swallowed my original PPR gist (you know naija snakes can swallow anything nah ). Then plenty things happened and for now no motivation to write another one until things clear.
Bottom line, I still full ground and I want to 'continue my normal life again' at least for the meantime. At bolded, by the time I'm leaving I should have MSc or PhD in patienceology
