justokey: In a series of declamations, Mr. Bakare asserted, “When the shoeless takes over, he does clueless things. When such men of low estate find themselves in power, terrible things begin to happen.” He added, “It is the timidity of the inferior that prods them to cover up. Deep rivers flow in majestic silence.”I am equally shocked by this statement coming from Pastor Bakare..it is gradually becoming unbecoming! |

It is normal for companies to issue press statements using alibi when closing shop. Learn from Enron, Parmalat etc. Of course, the insecurity in Jos wass not the issue here. They opened shop after Jos Crisis started. Also, up till last month, they were still offering Jos Staff salary increment but surprised about how adamant the Jos-Based workers had become on getting befitting salaries after knowing what goes on in other call centres. Without revealing much, I will state that it was the only way to go for cnssl. MTN not happy with the way they were handling the Jos call centre palava. It was also discovered that the PAYE/Income taxes they've been deducting from the Jos Staff have not been remitted accordingly to Board of Inland Revenue. There are also some staff that had pension contributions deducted and not remitted. So many issues came up that can eventually incriminate cnssl. Way forward- use the popular insecurity situation as an alibi to close shop, while MTN gives a new seperate entity to take-over the Call Centre and start fresh operations. While it lasted, cnssl owes a lot of its success stories to Jos Operations. It was damn profitable! |
Following what media writes about Jos seems to me that they like showing JOS in crisis. Most of the news should have been PLATEAU STATE, not JOS. when fulanis attack Barkin-Ladi or Riyom( villages in plateau state but not JOS-the capital), they say JOS. Saw on AIT now that the flood was in Gindiri..which i think should be about 2-3hours awaw from JOS. Just like flood is in Badagry and then relatives call someone in VI to know if he was affected by the flood. My condolence to the families of the affected. Now i will take NIMET serious..they made mention of some parts of Plateau State..so i also need tell my friends in Maryland to take Fashola serious about the flood threat due to NIMET Weather forecast. |

Fulani herdsmen attack Enugu community The quick intervention of security agencies has brought under control the conflict that erupted between the Ishi Ozalla community in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State and some Fulani herdsmen. An itinerant herdsman and two cows died during the clash, which occured on Monday. It was learnt that some youths in Ishi Ozalla clashed with some Fulani herdsmen within the community for allegedly destroying crops belonging to some natives as well as raping some women in the area. Following the disagreement between the parties, a fierce fight ensued during which the herdsman and two cows were killed while some natives sustained severe injuries. The development heightened tension in the community before a combined team of soldiers and policemen were drafted to the place. The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the incident yesterday, said that the quick deployment of security operatives to the area prevented the escalation of the dispute. He said the parties were summoned by the Commissioner of Police where a truce was brokered. via NATION |
nagoma: Don't tell me what to do man. That sort of intimidation will not work. Bot and his sponsors will be brought to book and what the hell do you mean by works and lives in other state? Are the weapons not stolen to be used in Jos? That much is clear from the time of arrest. Don't try to play with people's intelligence - this was carried by all media in and out of Nigeria. If there was a wrong end of the ladder in Nigeria , Jang would have been languishing there for ages.Following all your posts shows that you are a paid propagandists that needs to be invited for interrogation. What you posit here means someone like you can say because of Kabiru Sokoto's name means Sultan of Sokoto is behind his bombings and is thus his collaborator?nagoma!! |
nagoma: The Consignments of weapons from FG procurement diverted to Beroms by Jack Bot , the comptroller of customs over the last 10 year period are now in Full use by the Berom Tribal Army. More of the rocket launchers are now in full use by the berom on on other Nigerians (that they call enemies), Jona Jang is sponsoring it while the retardeen president watches. Jona Jang and Jona Ebele are perpetrator and accomplice respectively. Please take note , Jack Bot is under arrest but we suspect nothindg will be done just as nothing is being done about other Christian terrorists arrested. We will pursue this matter untill action is taken, expect more from me on this. With these facts that you have, please send a report to Sss and copy the IG of police. But be sure that if it is propaganda, you will end up in the wrong end of the ladder. While we all know jack bot was arrested, u are the one establishing his relationship with Jang and crisis in Jos, even though he works, lives and was arrested in another state |
Only daily trust will say such. Travellers went to Plateau Riders and could travel everywhere. All banks were opened. I could transact all my usual numerous businesses. And of course, because I knew there was nothing said that fulanis should leave their residences as the stf press release said all Residents of specified 5 villages, and only one was.dominated by Fulanis. I'm sure you heard the fulanis left.their village today since they now understand the fact that it is purely military action,.and were just misled by their so called enlightened leaders |
naptu2: Fulanis agree to leave villages after meeting with STF https://www.nairaland.com/992133/fulani-agree-leave-villages-afterThat is the benefit of being educated! The message was clear from the onset, while propagandistss with Phd were saying its a fulani genocide. That village of the 5 mentioned villages is the only one dominated by Fulanis. |
Apart from the wrong information by Aliyu Tilde that was circulated by El-Rufai and misinterpreted by Ibrahim Babangida, have you not read Everywhere that no-one EVER mentioned that FULANIs should move?? Read, read and read, they said ALL RESIDENTS of the area, and they are to return back later after the Military area?More of Berroms in the area please, Fulanis just part of the place! Remii: No problem, by the time Fulani governors begin asking Berons to return to Plateau State from core North you we will all know whether the decision is good or bad, |
Today, the state government opened up camps for the those affected by the Military Order. Like I said, Fulanis are just some of them, majority are Beroms while others are Yorubas, Huasas and Igbos. Also, defence headquarterss clarified these wrong propaganda by Tilde Aliyu. The Human Rights Watch and several World human rights bodies have also been carried along in this operation against MERCENARIES and ALL Support these because of the facts on ground. Please, we should learn to read more as the STF Press Release was damn clear till El Rufai and Aliyu Tilde used Social Networks to distort the message as GENOCIDE against FULANIs |
murtalaa: I wonder why none of bigots fail to see further than your noses. So the military has given order for innocent fulanis to vacate, huh? Any one of you cared to ask whether the order came with a Terrorists Identification and Immobilization Spell? Who is the military going in to fight after the ultimatum? All I see is a plot setting for ethnic cleansing. Cc The Hague. Please read the STF order agaon..It said RESIDENTS of the listed villages, not FULANIs. And I know these villages, they are more of Beroms than Fulanis, and there are Igbos and Yorubas also there. It is also just for few days, and the State Government has set up protected camps for residents to stay till the military action is over. I intend going to the camps tomorrow to also donate food items which is what many of uss sshould do instead of following Aliyu Tilde's misinformation and propaganda! |
majojolo: The issue of Plateau crisis is something different. Gen. J.T. Useni RTD. (Plateau Elder) is dumping the whole blame of in-security in the State on Jonah Jang the State Governor. He knows the issue of the State far better than anybody here in Nairaland.General Useni does not know much about the state, PLEASE!! He is aggrieved that Jonah Jang's candidate defeated him in the last senatorial elections and hence bitter against his Government. The other Military men from Plateau State all came out and denounced General useni's statement, including Col Dung rtd who belongs to Useni's DPP Party. Useni is a Persona Non-Grata in Plateau issues and you can find that out from Indigenes! |
Why don't we read??the order never said FULANIS SHOULD EVACUATE. It says All residents and I know these places well. there are more of Beroms here than Fulanis, and so many Yorubas and Igbos doing mining and agric businesses here. Why this wrong propaganda just to whip up sentiments??and they all will return back after the military operation!!! |
Pls let us correct the wrong info circulated everywhere by aliyu Tilde just because he's fulani. No state governor has control over the military. When jtf gave order in kano and maiduguri, they didn't protest. Now, I personally know three of these villages and mostly dominated by Beroms, not Fulanis. And there are Igbos, Yorubas and Hausas there because its largely agrarian and mining towns where Europeans opened up before independence. Fulanis co-habit with these people. And its a temporary order to allow for military order against some mercenaries that camped around there. And the state government has opened a.resettlement camp for the displaced pending when the military operation will end and they can return back. Why will anyone prevent such military action except they have something to hide? |
Why this misinformation and propaganda? I know at least three of these Villages and mostly populated by Beroms, not Fulanis. Why the propaganda that the STF is chasing away Fulanis? There are also Igbos, Yorubas, Hausas etc doing business in those areas and asked to all leave, but all we hear is that the military is undertaking a Genocide against Fulanis. When there is flood or security threat, you mean people should not be alerted to leave an area for the overall safety of everyone?? |
If there has been any project in Naija that defied godfatherism and man know man, it is youwin. Pls ask any Governor or minister or lawmaker you know directly and find out. Dfid of worldbank, lagos business school and a renown business school in UK provided quality assurance. Pls just mention a single person you know who got it via man know man and not just conjure up your own imagination without any fact! |
I have my eyes on this. Nice ride! |
With respect to usage of the funds, it is spread into tranches to prevent people misusing the funds. Banks are involved in business funds monitoring, and monitors have just been recruited to physically visit regularly all the awardees in their business locations and report compliance with agreed fund usage and set targets/deliverables |
okeyxyz: You only need to check my previous comments on youwin to answer your questionable questions. |
So the state government initiative that brought Nuhu Ribadu to dialogue with the aggrieved fulanis and set up roundtable with Berom leaders is not an effort?and the recent attacks in Nasarawa, Taraba, Oyo and Ogun states are also due to Plateau Govt insensitivity? |
Confirmed!another batch expecting payment this week! |
In fulani culture u must avenge the killing of a relative. A lot of killings hav taken place on both side - of fulanis by beroms & beroms by fulanis - for 10 years now. What has changed is the use of sophisticated firearm by both sides and adoption of guerrilla warefare tactics by the fulani. Fulani live in the bush so it is easy for them to strike and disappear, making it impossible to arrest the perpetrators. So when beroms retaliate it is usually innocent fulani women & children who get killed. These senseless killings wd hv stopped if plateau state govt had tackled it years back neutrally instead of seeing it as indegene/settler thing. Initially the berom inflicted more casualty, but the tide has turned. No side should rejoice - peace on the plateau is what will benefit all, not killings & reprisal killings. Now that the violence has gone too far the plateau state govt must resolve the crisis justly with sincerity of purpose . I LOV JOS.[/qu ote]and it is becos Beroms killed fulanis that they have also in the past few days killed villagers in Nasarawa, Taraba, Benue, Ogun and Oyo States? |
08069117850 |
nagoma: Fallacies! Fulanis attacked Beroms first and then they retaliated. Same way they will soon retaliate thi So its Beroms that is making fulanis to attack nasarawa and destroy the Give there, and also attack walk in oyo state and satanic in lying state and several villages in Taraba state?. |
Whoever thinks its just a plateau affair is narrow minded. Last night, Ikyosun, Tiv village in awe, nasarawa state was also attacked and whole village razed down by fulani herdsmen. We witnessed their attacks last week in pho state too |
