My point is, the police aren't working. I have had this argument with my friend who is an ASP. The policemen are not doing their jobs. People don't regard the police. They may not respect the military either. But they definitely fear them.

4. Military court-martial soldiers regularly. You just don't know. Many soldiers are demoted on a regular for Human Rights abuses. Does that mean you blame the whole military for an act a few soldiers performed? You carefully ignored SARS, Customs and others who do worse. Visit the borders and see Customs assault drivers. Visit the cities and see SARS assault young men. You only focused on the military.
