I feel APC over the years have never disappointed in providing us all with competent candidates who went on to be phenomenal Governors. And even now, they have provided us with an astounding President and Vice President. It would be quite unwise on our part if we unsettle the trend of brilliant Governors the party has provided us with.

The baton has been passed to Ambode for a reason. And that reason is for him to take Lagos State on to greater things.

Politics / Onyebuchi Ememanka Writes And I Reason Along With Him by shuaibsmanee: 11:36pm On Apr 08, 2015
What is the principal interest of the Igbos in Lagos? What do we seek to achieve in our sojourn here? My
take is simple. We seek a prosperous Lagos that is economically viable, peaceful....a mini Nigeria of sorts
where all people are able to live and pursue their livelihood without let or hinderance. As a people that thrive
on commerce, Igbos want a Lagos where there are government policies that promote the growth of
commerce and business. A Lagos where government builds roads, bridges, hospitals and is generally alive
to their duties. Education is free in Lagos and our children enjoy this. No Igbo child has been sent away
from any public school in Lagos. Lagos state government pays WAEC and NECO fees for all students in
Lagos....our children enjoy this too.
What do we really want in Lagos? The truth is that we are strangers here. Lagos belongs to some people,
just like Onitsha and Aba. Let's not carry on as if this place is a no man's land. It is not. All of a sudden,
Jimi Agbaje has become an Igboman....we have adopted him as our son.....the same way we adopted
President Jonathan in the last election against our strategic interest as a people...a decision that has left us
in serious political confusion and our senators begging to be admitted into the APC.
What is the difference between Jimi Agbaje and Akinwumi Ambode? Is any of them Igbo? What is our
problem? I believe that we have a fair share here. We live in peace unlike our people in the North. I don't
think there are more Igbos in Lagos than there are in Kano, yet we live peacefully here. Yorubas are highly
politically sophisticated people and they understand that it us better for them to have a government in
Lagos that belongs to the same party as the party at the centre. Igbos cannot love Lagos more than
Yorubas. This is their land. If anything happens here now, we will all leave and return home. These people
own here...this is their home and we must respect their feelings. Every person living in Lagos wants more
federal presence in Lagos. We want a 4th mainland bridge, we want so many other things that the federal
government can do. In the years past, Lagos hasn't enjoyed much federal intervention because of political
party differences. Now they have that chance and we want to spoil it for them by being more catholic than
the pope. Let everybody vote any candidate he wants but I reject any collective Igbo move to vote against
the strategic interests of the people who own the land where we live and make our living. Lagos has been
good to our people. We have succeeded here in business and the professions.
Let's not disrespect the people of Lagos. I will not support any move that will create an impression that
Igbos are against the interest of the owners of Lagos. Nobody has murdered our people here like what we
see in the north. Lagos remains the only state in this country where Igbos hold top government positions.
Even our neighbors and brothers, Rivers State have never given us that privilege despite our huge
population and presence there. As for me, I want Lagos to progress and on Saturday, I will proudly vote for
Akinwumi Ambode.

In this history of gubernatorial politics in Lagos State, no one in my humble opinion prepared for the race as Ambode. How many of us will resign from a plum job of chief accounting of the state and go to school in preparation for a higher calling

Hard work
Ambode was the only aspirant that went to all local government and development area in the state to campaign.

He really works very hard for the ticket.

He did not to take his endorsement by Tinubu for granted.

Hard work pays.

Politics / Ambode Is Special Guest As Lagos State Government Surprise Student Union by shuaibsmanee: 4:48pm On Apr 03, 2015
The All Progressives Congress Governorship Candidate for Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, was the Special Guest as leaders of Students’ Union bodies in Lagos Tertiary institutions received bus donations from the state government today. Mr. Ambode joined the state Governor, His Excellency, Babatunde Fashola (SAN) and the state Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye, at the presentation ceremony held at the State House in Alausa Ikeja.
According to Mrs. Oladunjoye, the buses were made available to bodies to facilitate intra- and inter-school transport of the union leaders.

Governor Fashola added that the bus donation symbolizes one of the many responses to the yearnings of the student leaders for support, and it further depicts the commitment of the APC government to the welfare of all its citizens at every level. He added that Ambode will consolidate on such commitments, even now that an APC government will be at the centre.

The students used the moment to declare their support for the continuity of the APC government in Lagos. They expressed readiness to put their strength to use to ensure that Akinwunmi emerges victorious in the gubernatorial election coming up on 11th of April, 2015.

The student union bodies that benefited from the donation included those from the Lagos state University, University of Lagos, School of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Federal College of Education, Lagos State College of Health Technology, Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, National Association of Nigerian Students, Lagos State Polytechnic, and St. Augustine College of Education.

1. Publications

- Ambode has presented over 30 papers at workshops and seminars locally and internationally covering different areas of management, finance and leadership.

- To share his knowledge and experiences in Accounting and Public Finance, Ambode wrote a book titled “Public Sector Accounting”.

From personal experience i can tell you all that writing is not easy, you need to pull alot of resources together, it takes
a. Knowledge
b. Discipline
c. True intelligence
d. Determination

To even venture into writing, to start, see it through to the end, this is an indication of a man who is reiable, and will ALWAYS see projects through to the very END!!

2. Honours and awards

- Second Best result in entire West Africa in the Higher School Certificate Examinations of 1981.
is it easy to even come first in your class??
not to talk of the ENTIRE West Africa??
Back when the system of education has more respectability and integrity (not now when cheating is the norm)

- Federal Government Scholarship awards for Post-Graduate Studies.
Another sign of the mental capabilities pof a man that can navigate the complex terrain of state administration.

- Hubert Humphrey Fellow (Fulbright Scholarship).
The Hubert Humphrey Program provides a year of professional enrichment in the United States for EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS from designated countries undergoing development or political transition.
He learnt from one of the oldest democracies in the world, like WOW!!!

Hubert Humphrey fellows are selected based on their potential for Leadership and their COMMITMENT to public service either in the public or private sector..

He was chosen out of a whole lot of people.. Or u guys want to tell me APC went to such a prestigious organization to "work" or "impose" Akinwunmi Ambode as a participant??
