I work fulltime with oil servicing company that have 150,000,000 Naira in company account, also work somewhere part time NGO that have grant over100,000,000 and owner of the NGO stay in Canada and finally I have about 10,000,000 Naira in my account and lands.

My question is should I use all or just one for my study permit POF
Note both offices pay salary to my account
Is any of the company sponsoring you or willing to help you with your application by providing their statement of account? If yes, include a letter of sponsorship from the company in your application. It would go along way. The amount in your account is also sufficient.

Please, I have an issue confusing me and would appreciate it if I can get people's opinion urgently. My brother's admission letter showed up 1st of April to resume Sept. and he wants to apply for visa. Earlier he made our elder brother abroad who is going to be his sponsor to pay around 30kCAD into his account because he of his age (he turned 30 last month). So I have the following questions

1. Does he still need a supporting document from our elder brother (as a sponsor) since the money is in his dormn account?
NB: He is doing nothing meaningful at the moment

2. I read somewhere on this thread that leaving expenses should be in ones account at least 4months before visa application. But this 30kCAD was paid into his dorm account last month. Will it affect his application?

3. Lastly, does he need to show another account, or is the 30kCAD sufficient?
NB: Our elder brother will be paying part of his tuition fees.

Abeg I will appreciate answers to my questions. Thank you all for your contributions so far
1. Letter of sponsorship. Sponsor's work ID or business documents.
2. That's not a requirement
3. If the sponsor still has sufficient amount in his account, you can submit it. And if not, just go with my point 1.
NB: Visa officer must not have the impression applicant is doing nothing meaningful at the moment.

What other option do I have please?
you should see a download icon on one of the bar at the top. Download it then open with Adobe.

good evening friends. Please I'm about to start my study permit application.

some of our landed properties don't have survey plans. we just have the agreements/deeds of assignment. Is it necessary to get survey plans for them? can I use only the agreement for my application? Is it also necessary to notarize the documents (agreements)?

please treat as urgent.

It must surely end in praise.
Landed property is not as important as people make it seem, especially if doesn't belong to you personally.

Although there was more than enough money for funding us two, after paying our fees in full. Our sponsor also transferred 10million to our account each. So we provided his account and our as proof of fund each. So I still don’t understand the reason for delaying my own application
Don't overthink it. There are people that submitted before your cousin and are yet to know the outcome of their application. That doesn't mean they won't get study permit.

Hello Gurus.. have got few question.
1 I keep seeing people mentioning NSE message. Is NSE message clue that student visa will be issued.

My self and my boss submitted test of English waiver letter for our applicant in replacement of IELTS score. She got test of English waiver letter from the school in Canada and her school here in Nigeria.

Though she wrote IELTS but didn't have a good score so we decided not to submit IELTS score.
It's over a month we submitted waiver letter and a year statement of account but we have not received any message yet.
She has paid a year tuition fee, with 3.8m in her account added with Grant of 4.2 m ..
What's your view towards this application? Plssss
They don't necessarily acknowledge receipt of a document. However I think prove of fund shouldn't be an issue for your client. No one can say how submission of a waiver in place of IELTS result can affect the speed of an application process.

I think this means showing a bank statement of 1 year and enough money for studies that lasts at least 6 months which is mostly 2 semesters
Yeah, I think this is the correct interpretation.

By the ways, how do you prove that you have access to funds coming from a member of your family
One way to do so is to avoid deposit of unexplained lump sums. Also one can make reference to a transaction of tuition fee payment from the account.

Okay thanks.
My cousin lives in CA and though he won’t be sponsoring the whole tuition he offered to pay the first term (better exchange rate and all)

I’ll be sponsoring myself, still putting together the funds but I saw somewhere that it has to have been in the account for like 4 months or so.

I doubt that’ll be possible for me as I’m gunning for September/fall term but will still try.
You don't have to make mention of your cousin in your application. Wherever the funds is coming from, must be explained and the officer must be convinced you'd have access to the funds.

Hello All,

Please I need some clarity for proof of funds.
1. Can the deposit for your first year come from a different account than the one you’re applying with?
2. How long should the funds have been in your account before your application?
1. Yes, it can
2. The longer, the better, but that's not always the case for some people who got their student permit. There are other factors the officer is going to look at depending on who is sponsoring. The officer just needs to be convinced you will genuinely have access to the fund .

Hello everyone. This might be unusual but please i got an admission and I don't have enough to pay for the fees. Neither do i have a good bank statement. Would anyone here be willing to provide me with a bank statement at least to convince the VO..I intend to wok and pay my fees when i get there....this is not a scam of any sort. We can even arrange an interview if in doubt. Thanks
It doesn't work like that. It can't work. Anyone that tells you otherwise is misleading you. You just don't submit account statement, the officer must be convinced the fund will be available to carter for your fees and expenses. They are smarter than you think.

Please I have a question. The minimum amount for NSE route is 30k CAD but it seems people get NSE request irrespective of if they have such amount. I have read through these trail and noticed that people with about 10,000 CAD where given study permit via the NSE route. Can someone clarify me on this? Because I have all the requirement but my statement of account is about 17,000 CAD.
The 30k is inclusive of the tuition fee if you haven't paid it. The financial requirement (NSE or no NSE) is that you must show funds for 1st year tuition fee and living expenses preferably above 10k cad. There are other factors that are going to be looked at regarding prove of funds. This is just for the required amount.

Truth is vast majority of the people here do not have the experience or knowledge about traveling with family members. The very few people that have been able to do so won't have the time to be visiting a forum answering questions. I would have loved to recommend an agent but I do not know any, and they do little to nothing for the amount they charge. Work on your SOP. You already know you are going to require a lot of funds. Just work on your SOP especially in regards to your hometies and why you're going for that course. How it's going beneficial to your career on your return to Nigeria. Nothing is guaranteed. Even for a 21 years old going for masters immediately after university. It's all about application packaging and some fortune.

Hello my people! @frankrobbn1 and other gurus. Pls I need your advice. My visa application is still on process. I’m done with my course registration and the school just notified me that my first semester class will be online. I told them I don’t want online classes and I was advised to let them know as soon as possible if I would be deferring. Now I’m confused on what to do. My program is just two semesters (a year) period.
Should I go ahead to defer or resume online while waiting for the embassy decision?

I’ll be very grateful for your suggestions and advices.
Defer joor. Are you be paying such exorbitant fee to just learn? If there's a September intake, choose it.

@Papapa1234 there's literally nothing about age here. All I have written is that people are better off applying for a program higher than the degree they already hold. Second class upper going for a post graduate diploma is still a form of progression. That situation can't be compared to an applicant going for a second masters. Yes, a good SOP is vital for all applications, but one can still be denied solely on the ground that there's no educational progression. I'm not advising anyone to do so but there's a reason some people do not disclose a degree they already hold. Whichever way, nothing is guaranteed.
shupy:
It doesn't have to be stated anywhere. We all know that nothing is guaranteed, and yes pull it off. However progression is always going to be a better choice. Going for a degree at the same level is always going to raise concern. No matter how beneficial the second degree would be to someone's career, a visa can be denied solely on the grounds that there is no progression.

just pay the required deposit. The amount paid doesn't determine the outcome of your application.

Where was it stated on IRCC regulations and manuals that going for a second master's at the age of 36 is a red flag?

It is important to be mindful of the advices we dish out to others on this platform as several individuals rely and act on them. I can tell you for free that the applicant stand a chance of getting approval for her visa application with a second master's if she can rationally demonstrate in writing to the visa officer that the intended program is what she reasonably needs to progress in career and explain the benefits of studying it in Canada. I can barely count how many applications I know that were successful with similar profile. As a matter of fact, a matured applicant whom i vetted her SOP shared her success story on this platform last week. In a nutshell, the applicant can apply with a second masters and stand a chance for TRV success.

It will end in praise

Thank you @Shupy,
We I have done quite a number of travels alone (job related) and few family travels. On of the family travel was to Canada and we didnt over stay. My husband has a stable job, we have some assets and a joint biz we run part-time.

I really dont fancy leaving him out due to the fact that he will not be able to get his Visa renewed to come visit us hence my question on if I can include him in my application.

Secondly, is a 3year advanced diploma in Georgian College a good choice? I see it does not qualify me for the NSE.

P.S
There is no Msc/MBA or PGD course in aviation that will give me in-depth knowledge as the one I have chosen.

Thanks
I think those who have had study permit alongside family members are in a better position to answer you. I hope they see your post. If you're going to include your kids you must explain how they're going to be catered for.
About your course, NSE shouldn't be your biggest concern. You can always submit NSE requirements when applying. The issue with the course is that it's not in progression with your previous level of education. How's the course going to be beneficial to your career on your return to Nigeria. That's one of the question you must answer. The fact is lack of progression is not a plus to your application.

he removed the money from fixed deposit and created an account with the money that’s why it’s 6 months, can I attach the papers that indicate why the account doesn’t have a 1 year history and a letter of explanation and submit on Monday ?
Yes, you can. Visit the bank with your dad and request for MBS. Also include the statement of the fixed account you will make reference to in the letter (not necessarily the mbs of the fixed account). How much is the fund we're talking about? The issue with funds from fixed account is that there is no inflow. If I was a visa officer, the required balance for a fixed account would definitely be higher than that of a savings or current account.

Welcome to Nairaland. I'm no expert. People do get study permit even when applying with family members. The biggest problem when applying with family members is that it reduces your hometie. However, applying without the inclusion of your children increases your hometie and gives your chances of getting study permit a boost. Don't even think of including your husband in your application. You have to convince the officer you intend to return to Nigeria after your studies. If you and your family have an history of traveling together, strong assets, e.t.c that's a plus. But it's always difficult to get study permit with the inclusion of family. Most people try it and if they're refused, they do not include any family member in the follow-up application and may get their permit.

Please so I have a little issue, today was the deadline for my NSE documents submission and I was only able to upload my IELTS because my dad couldn’t do that MBS certificate because they said he doesn’t do mobile banking. Now here is the issue I was hoping I could send his bank statement directly from my account by Monday? Also he has two accounts with that bank but the one with my funds has only be running for 6months because he transferred money from fixed deposit and created that account just for it, so please how do I go about all these ? Please I would really appreciate any form of advise
The situation is daisy. How can you send someone else's bank statement from your account? Did your father visit his bank? You should have reached out earlier. You won't meet the requirement for NSE with a 6 months bank statement. If truly mobile Banking is required for MBS, then submit your IELTS and write a letter stating why you're unable to submit the mbs. But I highly doubt the mobile banking requirement.
