Hello the gurus, @lekibobo, @shupy, @frankborn, @justmellow and everyone else.

My younger brother's application was refused on the first week of June based on purpose of visit and personalasset and financial status, second application.

I got the notes and I need everyone's help on it because I want to get it right this time around.

Brief info about his profile:
Had OND in Architecture.

Had a diploma certificate in desktop publishing from a training centre

Working as a Customer Care Officer at Globacom.

24 years of age, going for BSC in computer science.

NB: CAC certificate was submitted as proof of source of income.

I'm sorry about your brother's refusal. A choice of program that's not in-line with previous qualification or job role is a red flag. A certificate from a training center won't be given much consideration, but since he is working with a telecommunication giant, a better job could have been done in his SOP addressing the reason for his choice of program.

In regards finance, when the fund is in a business account, one must ensure to get a bank reference letter stating the signatories to the account. Demonstrating genuine access to the fund goes a long way i.e initiate the payment of tuition from the business account or have fund sent to the applicant's account. Could be for tuition or living expenses. The date of the transaction must be pointed out either in the SOP or letter of sponsorship.
He should ensure to submit his salary account.
I must also add that scanned copies of a bank statement is not acceptable. At the very least, a bank statement (soft copy) generated with a bank app will suffice, provided that the account or bank is unable to generate MyBankStatement certificate.

Thank youuu shupy
But what if you want to do your 14 days quarantine in a two bedroom apartment??
Well as long as you won't be sharing the bedroom with anybody else, you should be good.
That's just my own opinion

Good evening blessed people. Pls I have a question...!! Heeeeelllllllpppppp meeeeeee plssssssssssss

When boarding or at point of entry will I be asked to show proof of accommodation for up to a month?

I wanted to book hotel for 3days then within that 3 days I will go around and look for suitable accommodation.
Pls pls is this possible?

If not possible pls what *SAFE* site can I get good and affordable accommodation? Do I need to pay from here or when I get there?

Pls help
I think you'll be required to show your 14 days quarantine plan. Which essentially implies proof of accommodation were isolation is possible. You might be exempted from quarantine but the plan must be in place. Here is what some from a WhatsApp group said to me "Get somewhere you'll stay at least for 2 to 3 weeks. When you get here you aggressively look for a place. Check kijiji.ca almost everything you want to find here is like kijiji.ca".

NB: You might consider Airbnb instead of an hotel for the first 2-3 weeks.

wese90 as Escrow is allowed. You don't need to quote me if I'm not worth the risk. But be rest assured ,I'm opened to the most reliable escrow on nairaland. Go search his moniker called wese90 incase u that has been here for long doesn't know him
An escrow won't come to an applicant rescue when a chargeback occurs and given a 5 year ban by the Canadian authorities. Like I said, you're not worth the risk. No one is!!!

It's now pointless to reach out to an MP with the way they're bombarded for intervention request by study permit applicants.

PPR finally showed on July 28, 2021

One remarkable thing is that I did not submit SOP since it was not stated as one of the mandatory documents and I hadn't joined this forum as at the time of application. Documents submitted include-
Father's land document
Father's salary account (Banker)
Investment documents (shares)
Others were as requested in the application portal

Please connect if you are going to MUN this fall

Congratulations. You're very fortunate to get PPR without an SOP. You seem like a smart chap tho. Wishing you all the best

Omg I’m typing this with tears in my eyes. I applied for study permit since November 16 2020 but after emailing for the past 2 weeks and messaging an MP yesterday, the application is out. I’ve been rejected for personal asset and financial status. The thing is that the account used had millions of naira but rejected still. It’s been years since the last time I shed a tear but today, I shed them like a little baby. I don’t know what to do right now
I'm sorry man. This sad experience is going to make your PPR more exciting. Your reapplication might just require a little improvement. Please get your GCMS note.

Hello house,

Please i have few questions to ask y'all and gurus in the house too.
I graduated with Upper credit(3.16, 3.09)respectively in ND and HND business Admin.

1) Will i be able to apply for MBA programs with that, does canada see ND and HND as 4 years program?

2)If i am to apply for PGD, do i need both degrees or just HND alone with Waec cert?

3)Please does Canada universities and colleges accept WES EVALUATED TRANSCRIPT, this is because my school said they dont give student copy transcript lipsrsealed, that they can only send it directly to WES or to the school.

Please house, sending it to each school i want to apply to will cost me 75k each and it will waste alot of time before they even send or receive, i feel so down and discouraged already with this development.

4)Please those that applied to Colleges(Humber, Cambrian,Seneca)etc and any university with your ND and HND, how did you do it, did u use Wes too?

5)what does statement of mark mean?
I saw it as a requirement for humber college nd im confused.

Please gurus and those that have gained admission plz reply. Let me be Encouraged make depression no enter abeg.

sometimes when there is lump sum close to the date of application, they later ask for updated account statements ooo like two or three months after ur application.I have seen it twice now.also what if they ask for NSE and u have removed the money from ur account after application ?. God help us all ooo.my advice is if u r taking a short term loan (lump sum), in addition to ur letter of explanation, abeg provide my bank statement once and for all so even if the ask for any thing,it will be IELTS but if u have it,do like my guru shupy and submit all NSE requirements at once when submitting ur application. I too like this shupy.when I read ur timeline, I was so amazed. yes u were favored by the almighty but u had a strategy and u were very intentional with ur application. I hope God gives me same grace and favour
@millie0 in addition to what he has stated. Avoid lump sum. The payment of your tuition fee can be processed using any account even that of your friend. It's the receipt that's important in that regard. And yes, you should submit MyBankStatement certificate along with your application. That's the preferred proof.

two of them are my parents and the other is a friend. In his consent letter, he referred to me as his inlaw. How can I improve my chances with the VO concerning this other sponsor.
He won't be considered a genuine sponsor. What your friend can do to boost your application is to pay your tuition fee. When you provide a receipt, the amount paid will be put into consideration with the available fund in your parents account.
You can refund your friend after application is submitted.

What if you are not a salary owner and your sponsor got a letter from the establishment(money market) saying they can access the funds and your first semester fee has been paid, do I need to still bother about not submitting my account statement
There's no written rule for anything. Submission of certain documents is just to make the application more substantial.

I'm sorry man.
@bolded and on the contrary, it takes some level of courage to let everyone know your application was denied. Application refusal is actually more common than approval. Like I stated sometime ago, nairaland doesn't show the true reality. It is easy to let everyone know you got PPR. I can't say the same for application refusal.
You obviously already know you need to order your GCMS note. I'm guessing concerns were raised regarding 3rd party sponsor. Sufficient balance is not the only factor looked at. Demonstrating genuine access to it is also important. Your uncle needs to show some level of commitment by paying your tuition fee even if it is first semester, and/or transfer fund for living expenses to you. You can also consider GIC arrangement (I personally prefer having the fund in a dormiciliary USD account, it just seems more convincing than having it in a naira account). And yes, if you're a salary earner, submit the account even if the balance is low. Print when you're paid sha. Wishing you all the best.

NB: (Even if all this is done, you still need to submit your uncle's statement of account)

they are using paymytuition
No matter the platform, there's always the option of bank wire transfer in US currency (Form A). When you input the amount, click on "I want to pay in another currency", it will give you the option of "bank transfer in USD".

Good morning
Am trying to pay via CIBC in bank but they are telling except flywire and the sheridan is not in flywire platform , and i have all the details of the wire transfer.
If what advise can u give and how can i paid the money.

Thanks
You went to the bank with the invoice (payment instruction) you downloaded on CIBC website? If you did, whoever attended to you doesn't know what he or she is talking about. Talk to another rep or visit another branch.

Is it okay if I have three sponsors?

My main sponsor has about 10 mil in his acc. Second sponsor is a company manager with a lot more, and the third has about a million.

Should I use only two or is it okay to have the third too?

How are they related to you?

You can provide an account statement with 300 million, if the VO is not convinced you'll have genuine access to the funds, application won't be approved.

sorry, I have a question concerning that.plz must u have an account with the Bank?.then 2 what is the link for western union Global pay so that I can download the invoice and go to the bank.my biggest headache at the moment is paying my school fees.the rate am hearing from the street is too high compared to the CBN rate.the difference is almost 2 million naira
Not necessarily you. Whoever fills the form A must be an account holder. They can submit everything on your behalf. What payment option is available for your school? Is it flywire or CIBC?. They all have international bank transfer which enables you to download the invoice to take to the bank.
