You call him a monstrous criminal,do you have the facts? How did you know he is a monstrous criminal?Crude Oil or Petrol, whatever!!! OBJ or ATIKU can go to hell, I don't give a S-H-I-T. I'm here to defend my country and engage my brothers in discussions about current events in Nigeria and how to move the country in a positive direction. Call it patrotism!!! There are a lot of Nigerians working tirelessly to achieve the same goal and a few brain dead mischievous individuals (probably hired by corrupt politicians) to instill their beliefs and ideologies. The official census figure you have does not include many Nigerians abroad. Many Nigerian families abroad including my family and I were not counted, hence the figure I gave is my own estimate. |
Funny Discussions!!! Former UK Prime Minister, John Major became homeless and resided in a hotel for months after vacating 10 Downing Street having lost to Tony Blair. Tony Blair lived in an 4 bedroom apartment in the middle of London (Middle Class Area) before he became prime Minister. He is (just) arranging to buy a 4 bedroom apartment (not villa) to move into after vacating the official residence sometime this year. The former Swedish Prime Minister Göran Persson became homeless immediately after losing elections and vacating the Government house in October 2006. He joined the Housing waiting list (with other poor citizens). He was helped recently by an estate agent to rent a 4 bedroom apartment in Stockholm (not villa). The press complained as it was morally and legally wrong to jump the housing queue but the estate agent said they helped him as he had been a good client not because he was former president. In Nigeria, voters prefer and respect the rich and that makes the leaders want to become richer by looting the treasury. If the Europeans read the stuff you guys write here, they will be amazed. In civilized countries, (except ITALY where the mafia still rule), only few rich people are elected into public positions and many times, the rich simply are not interested in politics. World's Richest People, Bill Gates (Microsoft), Richard Branson (Virgin Airlines), Kamprad Emtaryd Agunnaryd (founder and owner of IKEA), Stelios Haji-Ioannou (Easyjet's owner) etc - all would have been politicians if they were Nigerian. These men are highly respected and are among the world's best and known philanthropists. What do the Nigerian rich men do? LOOT & LOOT!!! I am ashamed to go further. Shame to us! |
When Presidents are at the end of their tenure, they become irrelevant (even though they continue to make loud noises to attract public attention). OBJ will be out in a few days. Can't you guys get it. He is History! I've said this many times, the time you spend complaining about OBJ could be well spent supporting the efforts to elect a new breed like Pat Utomi. |
His poor performance has nothing to do with the English language. He cared less about it. He rattled like a snake and that is probably what his secretary or lawyer may have advised him to do. And he did a good job of it. |
Orji Uzor Kalu Thumbs down!!!
|
If you are for Pat Utomi, post your lastest views and findings every hour to keep this thread active so we can spread the message until the elections. Let's do it, guys!

I am in 100%

EFCC must work within the confines of the lawB-U-L-L-S-H-I-T !!! Does corrupt politicians work within the confines of the laws when they loot our treasury? EFCC is doing a great job for the poor and not for the rich. Are you people agents of the corrupt politicians hired here to generate negative biased opinions to confuse the public? After 47 years of poverty, misery and decay, some Nigerians are still dead brain to understand that our plight is due to endemic corruption by our leaders. I am sickened. |
I was reponding to this: Knowing that nairaland is not a political front and not everyone here really supports Pat Utomi and his "white man idealogies", i'll still want to suggest to the moderator (or anyone concerned) on how we can get this discourse across to Uncle P's website. |
Knowing that nairaland is not a political front and not everyone here really supports Pat Utomi and his "white man idealogies", i'll still want to suggest to the moderator (or anyone concerned) on how we can get this discourse across to Uncle P's website.Donation to PAT UTOMI's CAMPAIGN I want to donate a web site (domain/server/content management software/live video/forum) dedicated solely to support Pat Utomi and to get his message accross to the youths. (All cost covered by me) The site can be up and running within 24-72 hrs and all UTOMI's supporters in NairaLand can login and manage it individually. Please, suggest a domain name such - www.utomi4nigeria.com - www.utomi4president.com - www.patutomicapaign.com etc I will register it FREE within 5 minutes. It's all part of my community contributions. Note: Please inquire from the moderator if this sort of sponsorship is allowed here and it does not violate EFCC rules. To clear the air on this, I am a CEO/Software Developer |
I have spent the entire night researching on internet about Pat Utomi and there is a lot written about him. http://www.europe4nigeria.com/ Wole Soyinka endorses Utomi Gani rejects zoning (Supports Utomi) It's endless! You may ask, where have I been all these months? I completely lost interest in Nigerian affairs for many years because I was sickened of corruption. Ribadu's impressive actions got me to love my country again. I came to Nairaland, without any idea who the current Presidential candidates are. I cared less. I came here to support the efforts of Ribadu hoping he would clean up Nigeria for a better politician to emerge in future (Not from the current bunch). I did see on the board the name PAT UTOMI pop up many time (having the highest thread visits/replies) but I was uninterested. Then suddenly tonight, I curiously entered the thread to investigate and I was surprise to see PAT UTOMI having the highest votes. I immediately proceeded to his site to investigate further, and listening to the video clips. There I saw a man who meets all the requirements as a President. There is no doubt in my mind that he will win the election if the youths (as they continue to embrace him now) come out in great numbers to vote for him. I am happy he has taken the bold step to contest and sending out his message fast. Definitely, I am for PAT UTOMI. |
OK, I am sorry, I did not mean to undermine your efforts. I meant if I was in Nigeria, I would have voted for him. Next week, I will inquire from the Nigerian Embassy here, to know the voting arrangements for citizens. I will definitely vote for UTOMI. He seems in my opinion the ONLY candidate that has the qualities, experience and INTELECT. The fine qualities I have been describing and championing on this board since I joined few day ago. I strongly advise young Nigerians to vote for him as he is a role model. Note: Please, let me know if there are anything I can do to help with the UTOMI Campaign (not financially to avoid the EFCC). I have instructed my editorial staff to give him FREE publications on our NEWS sites. |
I have never heard about Pat Utomi until I followed the links to his web site and watched the video clips. I can say I've never seen any Presidential candidate speak about issues with so much knowledge and understanding. He has a solid plan for the country and seems sincere and trustworthy. How do you rate his chances in the election (50-99%?). Is he well-known in the country especially in the North where many of the candidates are from. Since many of you think he is good (I reckon), it is not too late to use this board to get his messages across. If he does win, he promised to keep Nigerians abroad engaged in his regional development project (as he called it). As a businessman, I am looking forward to the new creative ideas he is proposing. Ride on Utomi and Goodluck, Sorry, I won't be around to vote for you. I wish him goodluck. |
Shocking Revelations that will make your stomach sink. WT: Can you give us an idea of how much you have recovered so far? Ribadu: Some of them we have documented. Some of them are not easy to even quantify. For example, recently, when we worked from December, when we started going after big time politicians or candidates who are occupying positions, the fact that we went in, made them return billions. They changed their mind about taking the money. WT: Can you be specific? Ribadu: I will not. But there are others that we know we have stopped and they are, like, just quietly ‘let’s return it.’ There are others we recovered money directly from. For example, we seized close to 40 tankers of crude oil and products. Do you know how much that costs? So how do you quantify this kind of thing? We have recovered hundreds and hundreds of houses all over. Maybe I am the biggest landlord in Abuja today (general laughter). So I am just telling you the difficulty of coming with a definite figure of recoveries. It is difficult, but I can tell you it’s huge. FULL INTERVIEW HERE http://www.dailytrust.com/weekly/cover.htm |
Rubbish!!! EFCC drew the list when it received sufficient evidence against the candidates. EFCC does not have to have a timetable or a set of timeframe to do it's work. They investigate based on tips and information received from the public. Does CIA or FBI tell the criminals when they will reveal their names to the public. Complete Nonesense!!! |
In the current Nigerian Constitution, is it not possible for qualified people to constest as Independent Candidate (as in the USA). If so, can Nigerian Citizens resident abroad since more than 20+ years participate. I am curious because we have many Nigerians living abroad who are qualified and highly educated, with clean records, good skills, many years of experience is business, politics, economics, commerce, technology, International Relations etc. Many have held political positions in local councils in the countries they reside and others are currently Directors and CEO's of large private and public establishments. I think the current Politicians in Nigeria are lazy, overweight, sickly, semi-illiterate, money conscious and all seem to have lost their thinking faculties. You know of some Nigerians who left their businesses in UK to join Political Parties in Nigeria recently and they have either been in one legal problem or the other. Simply because they joined the current failed political systems. Contesting as an Independent Candidate will attract the many qualified Nigerians abroad (like me) who are eager to serve our country. This issue must be addressed in the next drafting of the Constitution. Don't you think so? |
Sounds Good. You are welcome! Join us in spreading the good words to encourage our young ones who are very upset and angry about the economical and political situation in their country. They need not just our words of encouragement and support but good examples. If our corrupt politician (OBJ/Atiku etc) can't be their role model, we can direct them to where they can get hope and inspirations. (EFCC/Ribadu). I am sure, you mean well in your articles but you simply get carried away by the different opinions. Make up your mind and follow your conscience. I sincerely trust in your judgment Sorry, if I may ask, you haven't denied any relationship with IBB |
Crude Oil or whatever you are! Is Atiku your in-law? I am sure he is not your father, brother or uncle. If you don't know him, don't support him. He is an indicted man. There are more than 300mil people in Nigeria, and just one stupid man is holding our country and election to ransom. When he is loosing, he rejects the constitution and when he wants to win, he accepts the constitution and when he is pursuing his enemies (Third Term) he quotes the constitution. This man is a monstrous criminal and must be cast away from Nigerian politics. |
Yes Baby, the chips are already down. Listen to the INEC Boss. |
You're right, McKren. They all lost on constitutional ground so it's 50-50. |
IBB, em sorry Big B1 (m) Look, you are a man of double sword here, sometimes you support the crusade against corruption, sometime you sound like you are one of the disqualified politicians. Tell us, where do you stand or are you IBB? |
Big B1 (m) IBB? Got ya! |
TAKE A LOOK ![]() RIBADU vs ATIKU help help, heavens help, take me up, a cat is on the loose! here we go, he want to fly. we see!
|
TAKE A LOOK ![]() RIBADU vs ATIKU em, let me see, you aint going nowhere mister. don't bother flying you aint got wings!
|
BE REST ASSURED THEY WILL BE PROSECUTED. ![]() You must know that EFCC does not have to rush into prosecution. Investigation take time and in Nigeria, lots and lots of people are revealing secrets about the politicians to the EFCC, so they will get more facts as time progresses. It's a strategy and it is paying off. A lot is happening behind the scene we don't know and it could be nastier than we read in the press. Nigerians are naturally born gossipers so you could imagine now they have found a CAT (EFCC) who can help them catch the RAT (CORRUPT Politicians). Thanks to sms and email. I bet you, these rogue politicians may soon start to exterminate those people that know about their secrets, such as ex-drivers, cooks, servants, business partners, foreign collaborators, lawyers, bankers, enemies etc etc. If you know such people, tell them to beware. Atiku said yesterday, I am expecting the worse "ARREST OR ROT IN PRISON". He knows, with Ribadu, the CAT is on the loose and there is nowhere to hide.

Black Like Me? What does it mean to be black, and who is the arbiter of authentic blackness? http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/02/15/AR2007021501270.html?referrer=emailarticle |
February 20, 2007 is the last date for parties to replace disqualified candidates. So, what the heck are many of you still doing here, blindly defending those corrupt criminal. Don't you STILL get it, IT'S THE END OF THE ROAD FOR THOSE CROOKS. Anyway, TOUGH! |
Dear Atiku & CO, STOP WEEPING, IT'S THE END OF THE ROAD Case Closed, See you in jail soon! |
STOP WEEPING, IT'S THE END OF THE ROAD for the disqualified candidates. Victory for Nigerian electorates. They now have an opportunity to elect clean candidates who will serve them rather than their pockets. If you don't accept it, TOUGH. Case Closed! |
Take it or leave it, IT'S THE END OF THE ROAD for the disqualified candidates. Nigeria will be more peaceful and prosperous after the elections as this is the first time Nigerians have the chance to elect clean candidates. If you don't accept it, please jump the river or punch the wall. Case Closed! |
