I agree with Alj Harem and Bloodless from page 1. Also @ kobojunkie, I understand your point. But let me tell you what professors at Northwestern University, University of Notre Dame, University of Wisconsin-Madison have stated to their classes, NEVER QUOTE WIKIPEDIA. Every single topic in Wikipedia is submitted by ANYONE AND EVERYONE on the planet who are worthy and who are unworthy to define fiction or fact about topics they know nothing about but once they are done, Wikipedia has made them an expert to outsiders who don't know any better. Wiki is not a reliable source and if you reference it, that reference will not count and YOUR GRADE WILL SUFFER. Quote Wiki at your own risk. After that first and last grade letter of (F) - I stopped quoting Wikipedia. You know Michelle Obama pushes the "little person", she gives outsiders and little known entrepreneurs and newcomers, a shot (clothing designers). Michelle and Barack shop at stores that the commoners and the average Americans shop at, they don't just buy or wear designer clothing, they also buy off the rack at stores that many Americans shop at, this is done intentionally to show their support for "those who struggle." She does it intentionally. Does Patience do the same? Does Patience go and shop in the markets and move amongst the people as the Obamas do? |
Shoot let me start, I like Nigerian Food and I like Nigerian People. Is it hard for you to admit that you love AA music and you like AA people? You like the way we dress and the way we wear our hair, especially us women. Ok, here I go again, I love the tribal dresses and the colors and the clothing of Nigerians, I also love American dresses and colors and clothing as well, I love Nigerian accents and I love accents from the U.S. that are from the East Coast and from the Southern parts of the country. See ?? Now how hard was that?Just be 1 face, instead of saying what you don't like, but playing our hits and groovin real hard to our beats, smh We can learn from each other. Nigerians can learn from AA's (especially how to assimilate into another culture by creating your own culture within a culture) and AA's can learn from Nigerians (how to persevere without losing yourself and working very hard to overcome by striving and obtaining success; holding on to it when you come out on the other side) |
I was SHOCKED AND STUNNED and highly disappointed when I went online to listen to Lagos Smooth 98.1 and heard AA music blaring from the station NEARLY EVERY SINGLE SONG FOR HOURS. What was really disheartening was that a large majority of it was sung by Nigerian artists who were copying the song. I wondered if the artists had given permission to these Nigerian artists, because if they didn't the artists could be sued for plagiarism. AA music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, a lot of it had been resung and was being aired and played by Nigerian artists on Nigerian airwaves, but songs sung in the past 10 years were sung on the airwaves by the original artist, and had not been copied, probably because they would be easily recognized. But much of those songs that are out-of-date and aren't as easily recognized were copied by Nigerian artists (I am a music connoisseur so I can recognize those beats all the way back to the 1920s and some even in that era, I know my jazz, big band, bluegrass, blues, hip hop, rap, classic, classic rock, rock, acid rock, easy listening, country, musicals, etc, - white and black music, I used to work at a record store and I know and have heard all the hits and I use to be a Disc Jockey as well so I am overly familiar with music) I was trying to listen to Nigerian music and Nigerian artists and was just surprised to hear AA music on 98.1. They are playing AA music, 90% of the music they play is AA from the U.S., though their disc jockeys have a british accent, lolololol, what the hell? Then I listen to all these NL's come on and put AA's down and thought to myself, HYPOCRITE aren't thou names to so many of them. Grooving to our music and calling us animals and putting down our culture, but our music is A HUGE PART OF OUR CULTURE that they listen to, copy and sing. smh daaaaayyyyyuuuuummmmm. So now I have this major disconnect, obviously many NL writers are LIARS because we aren't hated, we are loved by Nigerians because our music, our voices are being heard in their homes, place of business, in public and in their cars. And yet had I not heard this with my own ears, I would still be thinking that Nigerians disliked AA's, go to the tribal section and read the comments and I bet every one of those writers is grooving to an AA song on their Ipod or on their radio. smh dang people just be honest, you don't have to be 2-faced. Show 1 face. |

ignore him, focus on herself trust me, he will come around again the last thing and the first thing you want to do is to "run after, hound, use tears on" a man who is disinterested whether it is from being tired, bored and/or just not into you at that point in time she has to give him time to "miss her", in the interim she should focus on being happy, peaceful and content (the last thing you want is an angry, fussy, irritated new born), it is important that she needs to look for ways to be happy solo minus being angry or upset with her husband who is focusing on "income", also, he might find her condition unappealing and he just wants the baby to come so things can go back to normal. |
amazing utterly you are in the TROPICS, with beaches and ocean for miles and miles, further than the eye can see, beautiful foliage, greenage your choice photo is: abandoned, WRECKAGE - heavy-out-of-date metal - discolored (was the leopard print supposed to substitute for combat fatigues in green or brown?) - the wreckage looks like "desert storm" leopard print - afro wig and high heel boots (hooker looking) What ![]() The tropics dammmmmit: You should be on a beach with your wig blowing in the wind Your arms thrown out wide embracing the elements You should be in silk covering you from your neck to the sand That silk should be partially wet, clinging to your frame with ocean as your background No animals, just Tonto - YOU ARE THE ANIMAL and you are sexy, brown, glistening, succulent Who is the photographer ?I haven't modeled in years but I could have done a better job and it would have been believeable, you can bet your azz on that. smh |
@ 1st Citizen - What are you implying? Never mind, sounds like printing isn't one of your professions.Obviously what you are verifying isn't this machine. It isn't made NEW any more - I encourage you to verify that. New, it sold for 470,000.00, please verify it. In printing equipment Heidelberg is the TOYOTA of cars. It holds its resell value, and its lifespan is very long if it is well maintained by its owner. The last year the QM 46-4 DI (Quick Master Digital Imaging) was made by Heidelberg was 2002. You can find DI's made by other manufacturerers but they don't hold their resell value like the German engineered Heidelberg. ALL PRINTERS KNOW THAT. Many Heidelberg's this age have in excess of 20-25 million impressions, this bad boiiii has LESS THAN 4 million making it approximately One (1) year old catapulting its value much higher than those around it - as it is in brand, spanking new condition and has plenty of life = will make a whole lot of money for its new owner. The paltry 90,000.00 paid for the machine will make its new owner(s) hundreds of thousands. Go ahead verify, waiting, ![]() |
blackcypha:I know, but we ALL have loved ones, FRIENDS, FAMILY, that are from all ethnicities, our loved ones are no more important than their loved ones. They are just as important. To encourage shooting people for no reason but that they were born into a family?? That is complete bullshyt Focus on the damn issues, if race and tribe is brought into this, it would be catastrophic, I will curse their rotten souls to hades I promise, let one hair on his Yoruba head be missing, it will be taken to another level all together. It sickens me, |
Tribal this, Tribal that. All I saw was everyone in unity. Fuel, Food, Jobs, are more important than wasting time arguing about tribe shitz, God didn't make any tribe bigger or better than the next, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to do that, so why does man even think that they can do what God has not Mankind is the only tribe God even sees.Waste of precious time and resources constantly pointing out bullshitz. Ignoramus's the lot. |
@ Wily1Wily How dare you, something happen to my Yoruba, I will hunt your gotdamn azz through your computer id saying that shitz and putting it on NL. You wretched baztard. Trust me, I have no fear. NONE!!!! I am ready to meet my maker, are you? Peace be still you animal. |
Thank you Ivy |
Thank you so much for taking pity on me Toba |
Thank you Ms. Darkskin |
Can some one please post my video for me? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qv7k2_lc0M I am having problems with it. Please help me. I need it to play in my thread. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-846826.0.html |
Nigerians: We need to laugh a little, I am sure that Jonathan would appreciate a parody being done that is similar to the parody that was done on Obama in this clip. Right now, Jonathan needs an anger translator, everyone is angry with him, he probably is angry with others who can't seem to understand what he is doing right now, ![]() [flash=200,200] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qv7k2_lc0M[/flash] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qv7k2_lc0M |
wth? He bit into a green apple and taped it to a used laptop, then he self-named it an apple laptop and gave it to you? lololololololol wth? |
@ify I have sold 2 of them, One in Nigeria and one in the U.S. since I originally posted. I listed my phone number, serious buyers aren't going to post, they will call, and they did. That is why I was confused on the laughter, I can understand what you mean, most people aren't in the business of big ticket item sales so they laugh off what they don't understand. My advice to those who are still "learning about life", THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX and don't be afraid to take risks or do the "abnormal." Because many times what is "abnormal" to others comes quite "normal" to those who are successful thinkers and doers. They laughed at the washed up salesman who sold shoes out of the trunk of his car, his letterhead now reads, CEO, Nike. Who is laughing now? |
![]() ok, so why is everybody laughing at me? what is funny? |
@ Zilja - lololololololol - okShy leaves thread to run and mind her business. lolololol smdh |
^^^ Ohhh ok - that is good to know. I am glad I am wrong. whewwww So, when the guy made the statement about the cars in Nigeria that weren't sold yet, why is that a problem with you? |
@ Zilja If you are 55 years of age, that means NOTHING, get yourself into a gym, start juicing, get that brazilian butt lift (DVD), it's NOT too late to go back to school. Men of all ages are in local area colleges, these men are trying to do what you are doing, looking to improve themselves. Do everything you can to improve YOU. Do you have children at home? If you don't that is a BLESSING. You can create a wonderful little love nest. Take a few courses at the local college, if you like African men, they will be at the University, community colleges have ALL AGE GROUPS. Focus on you and really enjoy this time in your life. I have some friends who are several years older than myself. A set of twins who are close to 60 years of age, I kid you NOT, one of the twins does TAEBO, she has a body that is better than mine and I am in my 30's. She has one son who is grown and she can sport an elegant minidress, look natural and beautiful. Men of all ages go after her. Her skin glows, no wrinkles, no gray hair (she might color it, I am unsure). She has her own apartment and works at a factory doing manual labor. She didn't always look the way she does. But she is in shape. She is proof that getting older doesn't mean you have to accept "undesirable men," be unhappy until you hit the grave. She has a full life that a 20 year old would want. She has excellent credit, drives a new small SUV. Is never without a mate and all she dates is Africans. |
@ Poster From reading your initial post, It sounds like one of 2 things have occurred: You have let this person live in your home with you, and you are paying the majority of the bills. Hence your statement about selling cars in Nigeria and then asking him "where's the money?" You are looking for his financial contribution. Or you have helped him purchase these cars and are looking for your cut and/or reimbursement. Or all of the above. I hope I am wrong but that is what it sounds like in layman's terms. Steve Harvey - get his books - start putting "requirements" on men before you open your legs and open your doors. Spend some REAL ALONE TIME focusing on YOU - - GET YOU TOGETHER. If you need to lose weight, go back to school. Put STANDARDS on yourself, once you do that, any ole thang ain't just gone walk up to you. Because IF you look like, walk like, talk like a woman of quality, usually quality sees quality and you won't have too many undesirables who just needs a place to lay his head rolling up on you and in turn he won't even be a consideration as your "options in men, have just increased tenfold and your available selections have multiplied and improved." Be something that an educated, well dressed high roller of a man wants to sport on his arm, improve you so you can increase your selection. You chose wrong, there are a ka-zillion amount of men out there. Throw your net on the right of the boat. Focus on you for a few years, go solo. Trust me, they will come running in droves. Once they do, put requirements on them and lift your standards. There are Nigerian men all around me who aren't waiting for money to come from Nigeria. Why did you choose the one that "has it on the way?" - check these guys out - africanlove.com |
Ms Darkskin IS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. That is why I get upset when I read alot of ignorant comments, the U.S. government during a poll generally known as the U.S. census, on ethnicity they ask if you are white (caucasian), african american (that is ANY ONE OF AFRICAN DESCENT, there is no spot for Nigerian-American) - we are all lumped into one group. And many of us African Americans think completely different and act different from the next one in line. |

The video was hilarious, very funny, very, very, very funny. Thanks for the thread. |
Sagamite:Lagos Nigeria |
My parents wouldn't interfere in my marriage, it would never come to that, ever If his parent (mom) did such a thing to me. I would leave the room, not say anything. I would expect him to remove her from the home. If he does not, I will remove myself from the home until he did. |
Anybaba:I'm just trying to be helpful Shey , I hurt for Nigerians, it is very upsetting, PLEASE PEOPLE BE SAFE abeg, |
DON'T BUY SHYTE for 30 days. Fill your vehicles, fill your gas cans. Then as a group, don't buy anything. Walk everywhere you need to go, don't use City Bus. Walk where you need to go. Shut the government down by ceasing and desisting. They cannot raise the price on you. If you AREN'T BUYING WHAT THEY ARE SELLING, They need the $$$ that is why they have taken away the surplus. You can counter this and hurt them financially, as they are driving the price up to hurt you. You can cripple a nation by stop using their services. You are the people, more money funds your government. Stop spending, stop talking, stop yelling, stop marching. Just stop buying and organize a few of your own selected representatives to meet with government leaders, while you stand silently watching saying nothing, Just hold signs in the air in the thousands and millions listing your wants. They will meet you at the table once their money stops coming in from you. You spend money in the millions for government sponsored services such as fuel, gas, oil, bus fare, etc. Hit their pockets, that is where it hurts and that is when they will listen to you. Don't buy anything until they meet your terms. That is the effective way. Violence just begets violence. Refusing their services hits their pockets and makes them listen. |
?? Now how hard was that?
