One thing is clear, If jona had succeeded, we will be paying 20% VAT and borrowing heavily to sustain 'our' 70% recurrent bill. How on earth will a man who couldn't cope with $108/B for oil with heavy borrowing run same economy with $38/B oil price? I rather have him fight corruption for four years than one fake 'hero' who couldn't succeed as governor of Nigeria most wealthy state on a income per head basis. |

Emmafrancis: A bad workman will always blame everybody and everthing except himself. We forget so soon. Not too long ago our economy was one of the most vibrant in the continent, unemployment rate was on the all time low the cost of food items dropped for the first time in the history of the country. GEJ is the best president in the history of Nigeria. Compare the developmental achievements head to head with any other. Are you for real? That man and his abracadaba economics of direct money distribution merely gave us a short-lived feel of progress that was clearly blown out of proportion by the media. Wasn't it the same PDP/GEJ that was borrowing heavily before the end of their tenure and secretly planning Tax increase, stoppage of amnesty amongs others? |
Christianity Etc › Re: There Are Plans To Assassinate Buhari – Mbaka by Sibrah: 10:39pm On Jan 01, 2016 |
Emmafrancis: With all honesty. After reading the post, do you believe this man is talking as a Preacher or a Politician? GEJ has handed over power , pls let the man be . Goodluck never blamed OBJ or the past military rulers for the problems he faced. Pls no more excuses.
The gift of God maketh rich and adds no sorry. In 7months Buhari has made us poorer and there is plenty of sorry in the land. Did the neighbor of Isreal accuse their kings of mismanagement when they missed out on the word of prophecy from God via Joseph? You type sh|t about Buhari making us poorer when it was Jonathan and PDP who where in charge in our days of abundance and refused to save. |

Politics › Re: Media Chat: The 14 Things Buhari Said by Sibrah: 12:21pm On Dec 31, 2015 |
Teddeebear: it is saddening to hear the buhari say that by giving political offices to individuals the district which the individual hails is well treated.
How does giving political offices to selfish politicians benefit the common man, how many of these politicians reach out to their people expect during another election period.
Buhari should be listing possible FG projects that he wants to embark on in the region that will touch their lives.
Moreover, the people have nothing much to show in terms of FG presence in their region for 100years and about 55yrs independence, they also have the right to decide not to be a part of Nigeria.
He should rather call for a conference, where our existence as a country should be negotiated, if after 100yrs, some people call themselves igbos, Yorubas and hausas with their own agenda, one claiming to be superior to another, then Nigeria is a joke.
These ethnic issues and tribalism should be handled seriously else our problems will persist. Do you guys think at all before typing? So after the political appointments what is Buhari suppose to do? You talk like he is suppose to take allocation used to cater for people of SE extraction in other states back to the SE and keep it there. Common sense dictate that should a SEner living in Kano falls sick, he or she goes to Kano based Hospital and used up Kano state resource, so if you like more federal presence in SE make it more conducive for people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to live there. |

This propa-ganja scheme is getting too disgraceful. What now happens to thousands who are in Hospital beds? Those who can't access loan for start up, people who can't afford to transport freely. This government should spend these monies wisely to the benefit of all and not some 2019 campaign stunts for their so called 'vulnerable'. |

Education › Re: How To Become Successful After School... by Sibrah: 7:57am On Dec 30, 2015 |
How do people succeed easily when you virtually have to create your own 'private' public infrastructure system. You create electricity, even when fuel that's cheap and in abundance international market is still scarce. You have to overcome challenges of bad road network yourself, you must beat the price of smuggled foreign alternatives. You must pay bribe and add it to final goods/service cost. Instead of govt making the country economic playing field a more neutral and enabling one, our leaders are only interested in short term goals that can help sway voters. Short term projects like stomach infrastructure, buying of used car for transport workers. |
Education › Re: A Reason For Joblessness In Nigeria by Sibrah: 7:40am On Dec 30, 2015 |
Peer pressure and the shortcut attitude is a major challenge. In Engineering for example, most graduate's target is the fat pay of a ready made job role and not the raw craft and artistry that helps realise the potential in engineering and so cram through school. 95% of engineers never really engineered anything in their career. They did technician's job and claimed it as successful engineers. How many of those looking for N300k/Month job can grow a business to that level? Today our govt can't pay salaries but no one is resigning because our effort has no connection with what we earn. Everything is on a man-know-man level in this country. |

So 2016 will be hard for Nigerians, yet the few pigs in Aso rock have increased their budget by themselves and for themselves. And some followers will be online cursing and battling with fellow suffering citizens, to justify the "serious chopping" about to commence at the state house.
