Politics › Re: With APC Win, South East Shuts Self From Senate President, Speaker Slots by Sibrah: 4:52pm On Apr 02, 2015
Ymodulus:
The closest Igbo man to the incoming Government is Dr Chris Ngige Onwa.

Lets break down things to see how bad Igbos are at strategizing? They couldn’t override their pathological hatred for General Buhari to make a hedge bet and return this man to the Senate, to enhance his chances at Senate President, incase General Buhari wins, which he did.

Instead folks played tribal and religious politics to the tilt as drunken sailors, and failed the man and the chance to make history as Senate President. That’s what happens when emotions trips common sense and folks succumb to hustlers like Peter Obi and Arthur Eze, hustlers after their own interests instead of the masses they pretend to serve.

I urged caution, I pleaded that we were making a huge mistake to hitch our wagon on Jonathan who wasn’t going to
win. And predictably he lost, so also our chance in the new administration.

Lets not gloat.

But maybe, maybe, only maybe he gets a good ministerial appointment, but nothing beats being Senate President.

Igbos are very bad at politics.

Fifty years after independence, they are yet to produce a president when others have taken multiple turns. Their answer is ? Blame others! If you only Hausas didn’t do this or Yorubas didn’t do that, perhaps the god of politics will bless our lot.

And sadly it won’t stop until they learn to coexist with others instead of our ‘better than thou’ attitude when dealing with the Hausas and Yorubas. They are not better than anyone.

Igbos don’t like the Hausas and same igbos don’t like the Yorubas, yet they populate their States in search for livelihood.

They should let their politics mirror their economic aspirations, not the other way around. There is no wisdom in living in the North, earning a living, yet despise the Northerners. That’s being ungrateful.

How long can this collective amnesia insulate the igbos from meaningfully seating at the table, making contributions to Nigeria’s political evolution?

How long can this foolishness go on? How long?

There is a miserable silence across the land today, because they are realizing that they were sold off for pennies by pimps who parade as Igbo leaders.

Where are they? Anyone home?
I got a full understanding the Igbo man attitude during the susbidy removal struggle. The sat at home and let peter obi and likes hijack the whole show only to complain about fuel after the whole subsidy struggle

A look at the looming political landscape of Nigeria will reveal the side lining of one of three major ethnic groups unless something drastic is immediately done to rectify it.
Since the first two political positions are occupied by an Hausa - Fulani and Yoruba as President and vice respectively, it would be in the interest of national unity and inclusiveness to allocate the third most powerful position, Senate President, to the third leg of the tripod, the Igbo.
Granted that the Eastern states overwhelming voted for the PDP and thus ensured that all the lawmakers in the Upper House of the National Assembly are all PDP legislators, the APC has a chance ,before the commencement of the new Assembly, to Nick a few present PDP elected lawmakers to the APC. Any of this lawmakers, preferably from Imo State, should forthwith be made the senate president.

This is where the so called Almajiri schooled northerners beat the PHD carrying southerners. They sensed the message the USA was passing across, digested it, and decided to run with it against their perceived opposition. They threatened the kpali-carrying opposition into submission by threatening violence and they fell for it thinking the 'Almighty' western powers like US, who will always know better, predicted the actual break of Nigeria.

Never Igbos sold their right already.

Never will an ihbo man be there. Never never never
Seee the way they are demanding what other stake their lives for, they sat back home watching NTA and allowed PDP agents a field day in their backyard and now the want their birthright handed to them. These people are making the born to rule clique look good. This is worse . . .

The infighting within PDP in the last 5 years help cement their downfall. Now they are about to implode further. Where was the so called Igbos during election. They lay back and allow PDP a field day.
The end product of 'slave & master, 'ewedu & amala', 'Boko-Hari', Tinubu, 'our Oyel', parasites and other childish taunts.

A man who dared to be different by defiling a near ethnic-wide pattern of reasoning and approach. He didn't see APC as 'Hausa + Yoruba' party or allow all the shout of 'slave and master' interfere with his judgement.

In fact reading your analysis gave me hope as regards Niger state. I was really scared it will be rigged in favour of the PDP governorship aspirant in person of Umar Nasko against the APC aspirant ( Abu Sani Bello lolo ) , but now I have hope.

Also I do like to ask , who is APC governorship aspirant for Delta state?
Nobody is really taking serious advantage of the APC Tsunami in Delta, APC is being treated as a foreign thing here and most folks are proud of Delta's one party status. They think its cool.

Good to hear. The Otuoke man could have used this opportunity to advance the career of few bright politicians from his backyard but choose to go with a 'blind' 2015 ambition. He recruited the most thuggish lot from all regions instead of forward-thinking people.

We know better. Once the electronic approach of voting isn't fully adopted, any part handled by humans would be compromised. Right from 2011 the electronic voting approach has been flawed. Each voters print should map to another finger print copy that is secretly embedded in their card and should only be deciphered by INEC-regulated devices A.K.A card reader.
The OP shouldn't have challenged those perceived under-aged voters during voting exercise . The evil was done by whoever registered them in the first place.

PapaBrowne:
Are you serioushuh Your speech just gave you off as someone who lacks complete understanding of Economics>

Illiteracy no be moi moi oh!! Ha! So if someone tells you he will equate the value to the dollar you would just swallow it hook line and sinker??
What were you doing when others were attending Economics class??

For the Naira to be equal to the dollar, you would need to see our dollar reserve rate go to something like a trillion dollars!! Even with 20 years of 20% economic growth rate, we would probably not be there!!

Now the bigger lesson for you is that a very strong Naira is not good for our country especially if you want to produce goods and export competitively..
Now let me explain that to you:
A bag of Dangote cement sells for 1500 Naira.
When the dollar was 160 Naira, that bag of cement was equal to $9.
At the new rate of 215 Naira, that same bag of cement is now equal to $7.
That means if Dangote wants to sell his cement in Albania, he has a better price point than he would have had 5 months ago.

Now imagine the Naira is exchanging at 5 Naira to a dollar.
That same bag of cement would now be equal to $300. Where on planet earth would he be able to sell his bag of cement at that price??

Any country that desires to produce and export to the rest of the globe, prays for a weaker currency to allow its goods better pricing amongst competitors. If Buhari understands economics, he will never pray for a very strong Naira except of course he wants us to keep importing everything!!
the only thing 'stupider' than the buhari statement is this demonic analogy of yours. Guy did you use you soul for fixed deposit?

Innocent tree. The tree was used as a reference to believer. Bible is filled with Parables and comparism so it is very easy to deduce the meaning of the part of the bible.

The one area were I have thought Jesus possibly made a "mistake" was the instance with the fig tree. Jesus was expecting to find figs but when he made it to the tree there were no figs. Of course there are the parallels that can be made concerning Israel. However, form the text it is possible to infer that Jesus "missed it."

18 In the morning, as he was returning to the city, he became hungry. 19 And seeing a fig tree by the wayside, he went to it and found nothing on it but only leaves. And he said to it, “May no fruit ever come from you again!” And the fig tree withered at once.

Now if Jesus never made a factual mistake and was fully walking in his omniscience here on earth we should assume he would have already known that the tree had no figs and therefore would not have approached it......right?
I believe he spotted the fig tree from a distance at first and then proceeded to inspect it as expected.

The ability of the Yorubas to act open-minded ly without bias is well captured in their religious composition- Christians Muslims, and traditionalist in the significant ratios all co-existing even in a family. This is a far cry in some tribes that will can maintain single religious composition and virtually vote for a single party in different elections as long as the candidates are from their tribe.
