Please does this mean that Nigeria is going to the world bank to borrow money for the purchase of the eleventh presidential jet? Is this the austerity measure that Madam Ngozi Okonjo-Iwealla is talking about?

It is an irony that this man who truncated democracy exactly 31 years ago is back benefit from the democracy he so loathed. This is Nigeria where anything goes.

In a sane society, this man would be serving a life jail.
Buhari thought Shagari was corrupt that was why he overthrew Shagari. Now, he have a looter, an unrepentant thief and a chronic drunk siphoning our oyel money. Sanusi Lamido said $48 billion was missing, FG said it was only $20 billion missing, later Okojo Iwealla said it was just $10 billion missing but according to Oshiomhole $30 billion is missing. This same Jonathan has just awarded 9.2 billion naira for the purchase of cooking stoves for rural women, what a thieving clown!

Can you now see why Buhari should overthrow this thieving government through the ballot boxes consisting of the masses votes?

He has allowed this bad act by his father, so to stop it will have to be very tactical in order to avoid his father's anger. Please tell him return home from work next week and put on a very sad face and attitude. He should then go to his father and tell the father that he (your friend) wants to quit his job. His father will ask him why, then your friend should tell his father that his (your friend's) company said that due to financial constraints and unimpressive performance of the company in 2014, the company has decided to slash all employees salary by 40%, so he (your friend) wants to drop his resignation.

His father will advice that he should wait till he (your friend) gets another job before quitting his current job. By doing this, your friend can open an account if he does not have any and start saving 40% of his salary while still pretending to be very angry with his current job.

Parents are not supposed to milk their children dry. He just started work, he still needs support from his father and not turn him (your friend) to the family bread winner loser.

Gudluck Jonathan is a man of many first. He is the first president from a minority group. He is the first president from a very humble background. He is the first vice president to succeed his boss as president. He is first president to buy four presidential jets within 5 years and budget for another one to make a total of eleven jets in the presidential fleet. He is the first incumbent president to scare and force out all opponents within his party in order to make him the only candidate and avoid primaries. Definitely, he is going to be the first incumbent president to lose election woefully and return to his village shamefully.

Yes, we need Jesus to solve Nigeria's problems. But Doyin Okuigbe told us that Jonathan is Jesus nah. Also Hon Bipi told us that Mama Piss Sheppopo is the Jesus-on-Earth, so we have two Jesuses at Aso Rock. Let them do the miracles nah.
Politics › Re: Are There Muslims Who Will Vote For GEJ? by simpleseyi:
I am a Muslim. Several Muslims and Christians voted for Jonathan at the last election because they thought Jonathan has something in his brain on how to move Nigeria forward. After about six years promises of Government will build roads, Government will build hospitals, Government will make power available, Government will make education affordable, Government will wipe out Boko Haram, Government will make food affordable, Government will build refineries. All promises but nothing on ground after six years all we have is stealing, corruption, missing $48 billion, missing $20 billion, missing $10.

Jonathan is a Southerner just like myself, so their is a natural likeness for him, I see him as my brother while I see Northerner more like my neighbour. But my brother has been in government for six years and millions of graduates are unemployed, graduates now do security work in Eateries, Banks and others. Graduates now sell recharge cards in hold-ups and traffic. Our politicians are turning our young girls to runs girls. I think is time that I ask my brother(Jonathan) to give another person a chance.

Any reasonable person who is not part of the looting elites should not vote for Jonathan. Anyway, if any of my relative is part of the looting elites then I will never wish that Buhari become president. I don't want my relatives of family to be jailed. So, those opposing Buhari are the looting elites, their families and relatives and the ethnic bigots.

Politics › Electricity Consumers Decry Increase In Tariff by simpleseyi(op): 10:21am On Dec 31, 2014
Some electricity consumers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Tuesday decried the recent upward review of electricity tariff by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).

NERC on December 23, approved a review of the Multi Year Tariff Order (MYTO) 2 regime, with an implication for takeoff date for a disciplined electricity market by Jan. 1, 2015.

The commission’s Chairman, Dr Sam Amadi said the review was expected to improve service delivery as distribution companies would implement their investment plans for metering and strengthened networks.

He explained that the adjustment in methodology was not expected to result in increased tariff on residential customers on R1 and R2, who would form majority of electricity consumers in the next six months.

The consumers on the other hand, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that there was no basis for the increase.

According to them, the power situation had not improved since the unbundling of the sector.

A civil servant, Mrs Carol Sule, said that she was not comfortable with the increase in electricity tariff as power supply had not been commensurate with the bills paid by consumers.

“Definitely, no consumer will be comfortable with the increase more so that electricity supply has not improved.

“The increase in the tariff is not the problem, but has electricity supply Improved, when 90 per cent of businesses in the country are being run with generators,’’ she said.

She noted that the power situation had deteriorated even with the purported privatisation of the sector for efficient delivery.

“Electricity supply in Nigeria has been steadily creeping and crawling; Nigerian consumers pay so much for the units of electricity they do not consume.’’

Sule said she now pays N12,000 as against N3,000 four years back on electricity consumed in her two-bedroom apartment.

Mr Anthony Umonye, a civil servant, queried the rationale behind the review since electricity supply had yet to improve.

“The review of electricity tariff is inline with the power sector Act but is it really commensurate with service delivery,” he said.

According to Umonye, consumers will willingly pay the new rates if service delivery will improve with the increase in tariff.

Mr Sam Chukwu, an energy consultant, said that the regulator must ensure that distribution companies provided the necessary infrastructure in place before the upward review of electricity tariff.

“There is no stability in the supply of electricity; the regulator must mandate distribution companies to ensure that the needed infrastructure are in place to supply constant electricity,’’ he said.

Chukwu said the provision of infrastructure by distribution companies was a condition precedent for the review of electricity tariff in the country.

Mr Abolade Fatai, an ICT consultant, said that the increase of electricity tariff without stable electricity supply was absurd.

“The system whereby you increase tariff on a service without providing that service is absurd,’’ he said.

One Nigerian that has terminal illness is imPatience Jonathan who confessed that she died and resurrected in a German hospital and has been flying to Germany regularly for check up in order to try to extend her terminal date. Another Nigerian with terminal illness is the ever drunk Goatluck Jonathan who has also been flying to England regularly including day before yesterday for continuous medical check up because excessive alcohol has damaged his kidneys and liver.

pls let us put ourselves in Nigerian politicians' shoes. If my father has held political office in the last 16 years of PDP unfortunate rule, then I will never wish Buhari becomes president.

IBB is definitely scared of serving jail term with his grey hair. Even Tinubu is praying seriously that Buhari does not jail him when he (Buhari) is sworn in. Politicians including IBB knows that running away from Nigeria when Buhari becomes president is no escape route because Umaru Dikko that ran to U.K. in 1984 was abducted by Israeli security agents hired by Buhari and was about to be cargoed back to Nigeria before U.K. government stopped the process.

Yoruba prodigal sons are many and they need to be recognised for all their efforts to bring Nigeria to its current sorry state. Below are some of our about to be forgotten criminals.

Olusegun Obasanjo who spent about $16 billion on NEPA and PHCH to give us darkness.

Olabode George who was jailed and pardoned for corruption but not stealing according to our president.

Buruji Kashamu who is African most wanted drug baron.

Gbenga Daniel who is now richer than the state he governed.

Lucky Igbinedion, sebi Edos are related to Yorubas. Lucky was convicted by the court for both corruption and stealing.

I wonder why they are all PDP.
