Anthony Joshua has won his fourth straight fight by securing a second-round knockout win over Cameroonian boxer Francis Ngannou in the main event of the “Knockout Chaos” card in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Umuinyioku: Your angst against the great man is misplaced.

BabaRamota1980: The election of 2023 has produced a new band of electorates in Yorubaland.
1. Yoruba But... A set of people identifying as Yoruba but opposed to Yoruba rulership in Yorubaland & independence out of Nigeria. They prefer to be ruled by Ibo under a One Nigeria. They call their slavery to the political landscape A New Nigeria.
2. Nigeria But... A set of people identifying as Yoruba, supporting Yoruba rulership in Yorubaland but opposed to its independence out of Nigeria. They call their slavery to the political landscape A Renewed Hope.
3. Yoruba First... A set of people identifying as Yoruba, opposed to unitary government in Nigeria and supporting regional independence from the center or a total independence of Yorubaland from Nigeria. This set is also driving opposition to political candidates that want to impose Ibo wives as First Lady through governorship in Yorubaland. These are true heroes of Yoruba, they call their mastery of the political landscape Yoruba Nation.
I am 1/4 of Nigeria but... and 3/4 of Yoruba First.
If you are Yoruba which set do you belong to?
There's only one type of dumb idiot like yourself on nairaland; your idiocy is unique
Rebuker: Anthony Joshua will face off against UFC star Francis Ngannou in a significant crossover boxing event scheduled for tonight in Saudi Arabia.
AJ is currently in the process of rebuilding his career following the loss of his world titles, entering 2024 on the heels of a three-fight win streak. The Brit continued his recovery from successive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk by knocking out Otto Wallin in December.
Initially slated to fight Deontay Wilder next, Joshua's plans shifted after Wilder's defeat to Joseph Parker on the same night, leading Joshua to pivot towards another of Tyson Fury's conquests instead.
Fury and Usyk were supposed to engage in an undisputed showdown before Joshua's return to the ring. However, that bout has been postponed until May, leaving AJ to remain in contention to either face the winner or step in as a replacement if the undisputed match is delayed once more.
The ten-round heavyweight clash is set to take place today, March 8th. This scheduling falls on a Friday due to the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, also happening this weekend.
The boxing event is once again scheduled at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Joshua secured victory over Wallin and Ngannou faced defeat against Fury.
Timings for the event have been confirmed, with the undercard action commencing at 3:20 pm UK time. The ring-walks for Joshua vs. Ngannou are expected to begin at 11 pm, leading up to the official start time at 11:20 pm, which is 2:20 am local time.
Cameroonian fighter Ngannou expressed his desire to "knock Joshua out" in his second professional boxing match in Saudi Arabia. Ngannou made his debut in October, losing via split decision to WBC world champion Fury in a non-title bout. The Cameroonian-French fighter nearly caused an upset when he dropped Fury to the canvas with a left hook in that fight.
"I feel confident enough, based on my training, the hard work that I put in," Ngannou stated during his pre-fight press conference on Wednesday.
Tap0lane: Fellow Nigerians this much hate is what it takes to be an Igbos on Nairaland. This is the reason why Seun does not want tribalistic comment on Nairaland. It is for Igbos to malign insult n denigrate others but others should not be able to fight back or respond.
That is the reason every Northerneras been banned from Nairaland, so that this Igbos can have field day insulting others. Now imagine if it was an Igbo that died n other Nigerians start commenting like Igbos do.
Plus note that this man was not the Pandora criminal Peter bastard n Obi that looted ₦250 million from their Igbo fathers monthly from Anambra coffer to his warehouse at Orile in Lagos before he was caught red handed by Marvel Akpoyibo who was the commissioner of police in Lagos at that time.
This man most likely never collect a dime from all this self hating Igbos that their life is ruined with irredeemable bigotry n chronic hate.
Tinubu has nothing of value to offer this nation, this is the only reason he struggled so hard to become paramount ruller of Nigeria - so that misfits such as this idiot Bago dude would bow down and worship him...smh for the Black man
If I were President of Nigeria at this time when the country is bitterly divided as a result of the #NigerianElections2023 and the removal of fuel subsidy, as well as the flotation of the Naira, I would not take my children on an official business trip overseas.
The only reason I would not do that is because the optics would look bad, and I would be playing into the hands of my political opponents and hostile media, which have taken a business decision to oppose my administration to appease their base in preparation for the next election.
Having said that, legally, there is nothing wrong with it. Please fact-check me: As Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher took her son, Mark Thatcher, to overseas UK Business summits. Sir Mark Thatcher is a businessman, as is Seyi Tinubu. Also, fact-check me: President Obasanjo similarly took his son, Gbenga, on a business summit while he was President. Gbenga is also a legitimate businessman.
The current U.S. President, Joe Biden, took his son, Hunter Biden, on a business summit in China while he was Vice President.
And President Trump even made his daughter and her husband his advisers, who frequently travelled with him to business and political summits.
The trip to Qatar was publicly billed as a business summit, for which Nigerian businesses were meant to collaborate with Qatari companies.
In fact, some critics even mocked the Tinubu administration when a letter leaked that the "Business Summit" aspect of the trip had been cancelled. Which turned out to be a lie.
I was surprised that one journalist today asked on live TV what Seyi Tinubu does for a living. I may or may not like Seyi Tinubu. That journalist himself may or may not like Seyi Tinubu.
But to ask what Seyi Tinubu does puts a question mark on your status as a journalist. This is a young man who is involved in multiple known businesses.
And to the President's credit, he very publicly kicked Seyi Tinubu out of a Federal Executive Council meeting and warned him never to attend again, because that was not a business summit. That was a government meeting.
Other than the fact that Nigeria is currently very divided, and the President should have avoided fire, being that he is covered in petrol, what he did is not wrong at all.
You may now insult me, since you cannot fruit me on the facts.

Gistmedia10: FCT Abuja, Nigeria - As economic hardship continues to grip the nation, residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, took matters into their own hands, descending on a National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) warehouse in a desperate search for essential supplies.
A large crowd gathered outside the NEMA warehouse located in Abuja. With frustrations boiling over due to rising prices and scarcity of basic goods, the crowd eventually breached the warehouse gates, leading to a chaotic scene of looting.
Witnesses reported seeing men, women, and even children carrying away bags of rice, cartons of noodles, and other food items. Some were seen struggling under the weight of their loot, while others frantically grabbed whatever they could find.
Artscollection: Burna might no be presenting his argument properly but honestly the international scene gave him his flower. Naija peeps underated him 4 a long time and that thing dey bust his brain till today.
He'd do well to get over himself if that is the source of his inferiority complex, because this fame he is enjoying in itself doesn't even last forever.
No time to check time, before the blink of an eye he'll be a forty year old retired artiste like Tuface. He needs to be reasonable while it lasts so that people will have pleasant memories of him
