PoliticsRe: The MOSSAD Offers To Help Nigeria Tackle Boko Haram by sirjec(m): 3:45pm On Jul 25, 2011
Funny how these Hausa Fulani reason. They want to solve economic problem by bringing in Islamic bank and they don't want to solve security problem by bringing in MOSSAD, they don't also want PIB because it will not favour them. Mediocrity in the north is too much. So in this country only what the north wants pulls through, huh?

PoliticsRe: Muslims Ready To Go To War Over Islamic Banking by sirjec(m): 12:05pm On Jul 25, 2011
talk true:
The Supreme Council for Sharia in Nigeria on Sunday threatened that Muslims would rather go to war than give up on the current move by the Central Bank of Nigeria to promote Islamic banks in the country.

The SCSN also warned Christian clerics to stop disturbing Muslims, whom it said had received enough abuses since the controversial banking system came to the front burner of national discourse.

Vowing that Muslims would defend the implementation of the Islamic banking system (also known as non-interest banking), “with the last drop of their blood,” the council also urged the Federal Government to call Christian leaders to order.

The SCSN President, Dr. Ibrahim Datti Ahmad, read a statement issued at the end of a meeting of the council to journalists at the Arewa House, Kaduna.

The council said, “Jaiz bank has come to be and there is nothing they (Christian leaders) can do about it and if we have to go to war on this, we’ll go to war.

“Let those wearing cassocks stop disturbing our peace. Gentlemen (journalists), being peaceful doesn’t mean we are cowards. We warn them to stop disturbing our peace if they want us to live together in Nigeria. Everybody can go his way; we don’t have to live together. We can’t live under people dictating to us how we should live our lives even within the laws of the country.

“Whatever they call themselves, whether archbishops, priests or whatever they are, let them stop disturbing our lives. We have had enough; let the government warn them because these abuses are enough. We have been patient but there is a limit to what we can take. On this Jaiz bank, there is no going back. Everything has been done according to the law.

“We’ll meet fire with fire if they make the Jaiz bank impossible. Let them leave us alone. If they want us to live in Nigeria peacefully as we want to do, then let them respect our rights as we concede to them their own rights.”

It added that if Christians wanted a bank to serve their interest, they were free to ask the CBN for one instead of opposing the proposed Islamic banking which “is operational in the United Kingdom and other Christian-dominated countries.”

The council added that the Jaiz bank had assured that it would commence operations in Nigeria in September with three branches in Abuja, Kaduna and Kano.

The SCSN said,“We are very happy that with a lot of efforts Jaiz bank has now become a reality. The company owning Jaiz has assured us that the bank is coming in September and they have assured us that they will be starting with three branches in three towns, namely Abuja, Kaduna and Kano.

“And they will continue to open the branches rapidly thereafter. We are also aware of the amount of noise and nonsense we hear from the Christian leaders, some of whom are so ignorant.

“They think they can blackmail the government, the CBN or the Muslim ummah to abandon the project. We want to assure them that nothing can stop the Jaiz bank from coming into being because it’s being brought in according to the laws of Nigeria. There is nothing illegal about it.

“If they have a Christian bank that they want to establish, they have the freedom to bring it to the CBN and if they can prove their case, a Christian bank will be opened.

“We, the Muslims of this country, are fed up and tired of the vituperations of the CAN (Christian Association of Nigeria). They feel they can dictate to the Muslims, even on how we should live our lives.

“And we are warning the government not to listen to them because there is a limit to the amount of nonsense we can take. We are the majority in this country, whether the Christians like it or not.

Can you people help us now to divide this country. You people vowed that PIB will never work because it will not favour you. Now that Islamic Banking will not favour some people, why are we enforcing it? Let this country divide now because we are quiet does not mean you have the monopoly of violence or whatever. I've heard a lot of bad things about Ibos but all I do is to make sure none of those atributes are in me and perhaps one day I'll be where I can make things right and bring honour to my tribe. You too can also share my sentiments. Every tribe has bad people and good people. Just do your part to make your tribe.

Whatever it is that is called islamic banking should go to hell. I do not believe in Islam, so why should I belive in Islamic banking. If as a Christian I use islamic bank then what are we saying? Look Muslims would not have allowed this. Why did the muslims protest during 2007 census that the religio shouldnot be included? Because they know the Christians are more than the muslims. Why do the muslim states not allow churches to be inside the gates? Now they want to enact such law here. England and Malaysia is not Nigeria. We are religious here and we are ready to fight for our religion. The law should ot establish anything islamic bank unless they are doing it for muslims alone. We Christians don't want to use a bank called Islamic bank. Is this Sanusi dumb? If he wants non interest banking, Must the name be Islamic Bank? I once said that even Christian religion recognises non interest form of banking, so why can't the name be something different in Nigeria even if it is called Islamic banking in other parts of the world? We should respect everybody's feelings and religion.

I've said this time without number, our securities are our problem. Why should our forces be the ones escorting people to do evil. All form of police escort should stop. And any vehicle been escorted by police should not be given waiver rather should go through the same checks. Imagine if the escorts were police and military team, they would have passed all checkpoints successfully. We need a total overhaul in our force.

Our security agencies lack guts to stop this and they think it is the president that will do their job. They should look at other countries and see how other security agencies work. As far as I am concern, the securities should monitor all the communications in that area and track these guys down. These are simple things to do.

Why are we only reactive in this country? We know that something can cause problem, we will not do it till it causes the problem. We we were approving the buildings we know will block water channels, were we not aware it will backfire in future? We need to be proactive.

If those houses got the needed approvals, are they not going to be compensated? God help this country. Nigeria is defined as a country with citizens who know the solution of their problems but will not do it, rather will prefer to cry and make noise without actions backing their noise. Sorry oo. There were professors who believed Noah was blabbing like CAN is calling now and economists are blabbing. I asked a simple question; The stand of Islams and Christians are the same on financial issues (After all history shows the the qua ran was written from the bible and some other doc, read Genesis through Deuteronomy to confirm), why then is the name Called ISLAMIC BANK instead of just calling it NON PROFIT BANK (Since the provisions are same on almost all religion)? They are scared because PIB will not favour the North because the half baked graduates the produce in the north cannot meet up in the labour market where quota system will not be used. Don't get me wrong, the north has intelligent people but they are few. When PIB is passed, the companies will have to employ staff that will deliver and not staff that will not deliver but will be imposed on the company on quota grounds. So stop lying

Christianity EtcRe: Nigerian Christians Open Hostility Against Islam by sirjec(m): 10:41pm On Jul 04, 2011
Answer why it should be called Islamic banking since it has the same provisions with Christian practices.

We the Christians don't have anything to discuss with the Islamist. All we are saying that he should not take us for a ride. The said provisions of the said Islamic Bank are also similar to the real Christian practices so why should it bear ISLAMIC BANKING?

Which Christian will enter such bank to do Business?

We want to spend Nigerian's money on things that will be beneficial to one section of the populace. To be precise, we want to spend money gotten from Christians to establish what only the Muslims will benefit from? Is it fair?

Some of us that call ourselves Christians don't know the tricks of Muslims and that they are constantly fighting to Islamize this country.

It is unconstitutional as far as I am concern. Just that this Jihadist that calls himself Sanusi want to cause problem in this country. And I hope when the problem starts, he will defend it.

I'm just telling my Christian brothers to beware of the coming of 666, the mark of the beast. The prophesy is coming to pass because in near future it will become a muslim thing for muslims. when the antichrist puts untold hardship on people, they will be asked to bow to allah to qualify for loan, I know how this works.

PoliticsRe: The Article That Got El Rufai Into Trouble by sirjec(m): 10:42am On Jul 04, 2011
This article might be true and I like this kind of constructive criticism but must we only criticize when we are not part of the government? El Rufai served the government 5years ago and he did not raise alarm even though most of these problems existed then. Why is he crying now? Is it because he is not given chance in this government?

We need honest leaders that will stand for the truth no matter what their position in the government is. El Rufai has failed because he did not expose these when he was in government, perhaps raising this kind of alarm like 6yrs ago would have helped repositioned Nigeria now. Now, his activities will be viewed as witch-hunt even though they might not be far from the truth.
Rememnber " O ye brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good, for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks".

Dora and Sanusi still remain the only persons that has been in government and cried out foul.

Nigeria is a country where a threat will be clear that it can kill, people will ignore it, only to complain when they see people dead because of the threat. I mean we are not proactive in this country and we are not safety concious. If NYSC still posts people to the area despite the security threats there, I wonder the excuse they will give when something happens. NYSC should in the interest of safety stop sending southerners to north. Or is the DG looking for blood to do rituals?

And you don't seem to get it! They called the Russians simply because they DESIGNED the missiles. Calling them does not mean the Americans given time will not figure out how to deactivate them, but it's time wasting so better to call those who designed it in the first place. So how does this compare with a Police Station getting bombed and then calling the FBI to come help out? Have they ascertained that the bombs are made in America? Yes, true the FBI has more experience of course, but all the same it highlights how redundant our Police Force is - they can't even safe-guard their own station! I mean, how often have we heard of people running into Police Stations for safety only for the mob to drag them out of the Police Station and killed?
My dear, everything is a function of time. If you even give Nigerian police time, they can find out the make of the bomb. The also invited FBI because they know that FBI have been fighting terrorism since time immemorial and as such they have a lot of bomb signatures.

You can make good excuse for America but you don't see any need for what your country has done, unpatriotic.

Believe me or not, there is nothing wrong in FBI coming to investigate. What they want to find out is the country supplying arms to them through the makers of the bomb. After all Nigeria does not produce bullet let alone bombs
