PoliticsRe: Abuja Bombing: Investigators Suspect ‘internal Connivance’ by sirjec(m): 9:17am On Jun 23, 2011
splashbaby:
The source said, “Investigations have fully commenced and there is a strong suspicion that the perpetrators could not have succeeded without some form of support and sympathy from senior police officers. In the next few weeks, I believe that definite proof of their (senior officer’s) involvement would be discovered by investigators.”

The spokesman of the Islamic extremists, Usman Al-Zawhiri, had reportedly claimed that his group had members and sympathisers within all the nation’s security agencies, a theory that investigators might have found plausible.
What happened to them for people to sympathise with. LOL

splashbaby:
One of the suspects was said to be cooperating with detectives and he had been taken back to Maiduguri to help investigators track down the leader of the radical sect.
Do you believe them? If this is true, it would have been kept secret (classified) but I suspect they want to use propaganda as none of them is willing to cooperate cause confusion in their midst or even make other cooperate. I know how it works.
PoliticsRe: Fbi Agents Arrive Abuja, Comb Police Headquarters by sirjec(m): 10:02am On Jun 22, 2011
Why are we talking as if it is bad for FBI to come and investigate this issue. Every country has it own area of expertise. I remember when America wanted to enter Iraq, they had to call Russia to come and deactivate the missiles Iraq planted to attack any plane flying into the country. Will America now cry that they are finished for not being able to do that?

Well, I support FBI coming to investigate this issue. All we need to ask is for the country to learn from what they are doing.

Ride on FBI, Ride on GEJ
PoliticsRe: Four Corps Members, 24 Others Die In Enugu Auto Crash by sirjec(m): 11:35am On Jun 21, 2011
Overspeeding is the only reason. We are too much in a hurry in this country. outside this country you hear "Enjoy your drive" when someone embarks on journey because the journey will certainly be safe but in Nigeria, it is "safe journey" because the journey is always unsafe.

In London, Aberdeen, etc their buses don't exceed 80km/h despite their good road but in Nigeria with our bad road, we exceeed 120km/h so easily.

Unless we re orientate ourselves, we are just wasting our time. Accidents will continue to occur
I'm not too keen on seeing this bitumen extracted. Knowing how things work in Nigeria, the involved states (Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Edo and evidently Kogi?) would be turned into a polluted wasteland.
But some places are turned to polluted wasteland as a result of exploration in their lands yet you people hate them and don't think they should enjoy from the proceeds.

Thugs are paid 65k monthly for doing nothing, yet some other ND youths are suffering.
For government to deliver the dividends of democracy, there has to be peace. Recall that the EAST-WEST road was awarded the same time with ZUBA- KD express and the later has since been completed because of peace while the former is still in limbo.

The amnesty program was design to pacify the youths so that development will come. If you say they are paid 65k for not doing anything, good for them, at least they are being paid for the accumulated sufferings they've had since the origin exploration from their land. After all they just started earning the pay while they have suffered for years

If you are aggrieved, tell me what the Yorubas when the country was relying on cocoa? Free Education abroad,
PoliticsRe: To All GEJ Supporters - Do You Regret Your Vote? by sirjec(m): 10:26am On Jun 21, 2011
Hmmm. Everybody blames GEJ for the problem in Nigeria. I'm ashamed of some people.

When the northerners were in power, they used all means to position their people, creating states to favour the north, positioning their people in Police, Navy, Army, Air force, federal ministries. They feel they are born to rule and as such put those structures in place to have upper hand against anybody who contests against them.

Recall what OBJ did to succeed, he retired many military officers and positioned his men. People called him autocrat but believe me he did what he had to do to survive.

These greedy northerners lost the battle because the we are aware of their plots. Everybody wants change. Even their northern brothers. This change has brought about the emergence of GEJ who is a pure civilian and most experienced among his equals.

The greedy northerners are now trying to frustrate this government in order to say they would have been better and we are falling hook line and sinker.

Who is Boko Haram? Who benefits when pipelines are vandalised?  Who benefits for the poor power in the country?

People have their different nature, some believe in force while some believe in rule of law. Democracy is all about the rule of law and I support GEJ for taking his time in handling issues.

Today we are happy that the fuel queues are gone for good and prices are normal, in fact, I saw some filling stations selling fuel at 64grand. This is a result of good planned works. We will still capture other areas being held by those wicked politicians but we have to be diplomatic. Remember, they still have their loyalists in position to cause problems.

With time we will brake their bonds, be patient

Why are you people ant GEJ, even the Late sick President was given chance. Why not give him chance and support him first. Is he the cause of Nigeria's problem. He is here to solve it. Why not support him in prayers if not for anything.

I assure you all, he will do better that all the past presidents. He has already started. In 2 years time I remind you all of this my statement

PoliticsRe: Why I Visited Bankole - Police IGP (Ringim) by sirjec(m): 8:52am On Jun 07, 2011
Our force is terrible. This explains why the police will continue to collect money from innocent motorists in the name of incomplete papers.

This is really terrible, to hear that IGP went to Bankole to collect his share of the #10billion in exchange for security, perhaps to smuggle him out of the country.

Up Ringim, Up law and order enforcement agency (Police). But how did this get this bad, that we cannot find an honest policeman? This police force should be disbanded and a new force formed with strict conditions of service where people will have to be responsible for situations at different levels.

PoliticsRe: Why I Visited Bankole - Police IGP (Ringim) by sirjec(m): 11:06am On Jun 06, 2011
This IGP is funny. Well, we don't know how to make good use of our office to improve our country. A whole IGP going to negotiate for his share so as to offer him protection and he is now talking as if he went to apologise. Well, all join. Not a problem. I'm even waiting to hear that the AGF has released him, discharged him and recommend him for a higher positions.

90% of all the present leaders are criminals that we need to flush out of this country, but whose brother will be first. The use tribe to seek sympathy. When an Ibo is apprehended, he'll say because he's an ibo, When an hausa is apprehended, he'll say because he's an hausa, When a yoruba is apprehended, he'll say because he's an yoruba, When other tribes (not Ibo, Hausa, nor Yoruba) is apprehended, he'll say because he's from minority.

If we must move forward in this country, we should reject evil despite where it is coming from and we must desist from blowing things out of proportion when it is after other tribes. Honesty is the key.

I wish all the beneficiaries of this money be apprehended and tried without fear of favour.

lastpage:
I dont mind paying #100,000 for electricity EVERY MONTH, if that is what l have used!

Let me have a Pre-Paid Meter and let me "manage my own cost" myself!
Put me in Prison then, if l fail to pay!

But to think you can impose just any amount on me because "You're Government", ITS A JOKE!

The issue is not about whether Nigerians pay, like to pay or dont pay for electricity. That is arrant nonsense!

What we should all be protesting for, is that the Pre-Paid Meter be made available to those who want it (if you cant make it standard for everyone).
Why are they hiding the Meters?

'Cos it has exposed the "fathom Bills" that they bring every month, light or no-light!

The sad part is that most Nigerians are too dumb and too cowardly, to demand forcefully, for what is rightfully theirs!
Just too dumb set of humans. angry angry

BTW: I was out of the country for 6weeks (House was completely empty and Change-Over switch was off Nepa-source, for safety reasons) and yet PHCN brought bill of #38,000 for 4weeks of those six weeks!

Now tell me, is it PHCN GHOSTS that were using electricity in my home, DURING MY ABSENCE? Fecking Rogues!
My dear you must be living in and industry or a company for your monthly bill to be up to 38k. Well I'm also a victim. I was away for 8months, when I came back I saw bill for that 8 months and the meter did not actually move an inch. When I checked the meter reading they used to calculate my bills, behold it was estimated. Funny enough I had to pay cos they insisted I had to and was cutting me off incessantly.

They only thing I was the President to do is to remove immunity from them so that we can sue them when they misbehave.

Funny enough, despite all these criminal monies they force out from people, they still don't make money at the end of the year.

NEPA, PHCN is just a money making venture for some few individuals. But we must conquer at last

Recall that Buhari said if he loses, he's out from active politics. So since he is lost and out, the remains of CPC can plot with other northern leaders ahead of 2015, (Not impossible)

Did he mention Buhari or CPC. So all CPC members treat PDP members as Leprosy infected people? He said CPC members and he mentioned names. You are the one putting Buhari in the list yourself
PoliticsRe: Northern Leaders Plot Secret Coup Against Jonathan by sirjec(m): 1:59pm On Jun 02, 2011
To be honest, this news could be true. We were in this country before the elections and we knew how the North fought to make sure GEJ did not take over power even when it was clear the president could not continue.

We knew how the AGF said the president can rule from anywhere disregarding the fact that no one was allowed to se him.

We knew what happened when the NASS and FEC tried to no avail to see the then President.

We knew all these, how GEJ was frustrated from becoming the President rather, the PA of the then president and his cronies were running this country in the capacity of president.

Even when the then President was flown to this country, no one was allowed to see him.

When GEJ finally took over power and wanted to contest, we knew the hatred and plots to frustrate him. We knew how many times IBB called for his resignation for insecurity in the nation. These agitations to frustrate GEJ metamorphosed into the incessant bomb blasts in several areas in the north.

Recall that someone prominent in the north sworn openly that the north will never allow GEJ to rule. Forget what happened during the election as it has been given several meanings.

Recall that Buhari said if he loses, he's out from active politics. So since he is lost and out, the remains of CPC can plot with other northern leaders ahead of 2015, (Not impossible)

So, which part of this news is far from what we have seen and presently living with? The truth is that
THEY MUST SURELY GATHER AND THEY MUST SCATTER.

Truth is bitter and must be said. And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

Pennywise:
A lot of people do not pay light bills in Nigeria.

It appears the yoke on bill paying citizens and businesses is about to get real heavier. If more pple paid light bills there

will be no need to increase tariff
You are right. A lot of people don't pay light bills. When the privatization is completed, the companies have to account for every watt-hr consumed, they will either cut off those areas that don't pay or they start paying.

The price will eventually come down when proper accountability is achieved.

But for now, let us enjoy this light at all cost provided it is reasonably practicable.

Currently I spend not less than 20k per month running Generator. If the light is stable, I can't spend up to 5k.

Nigeria is getting better, let us say no to spoilers.

I walked into their office, waited for few minutes, they called me in, snapped me and gave me the passport later. Though they asked me to come back the next day but it was ready that same day. when I told them I was travelling, they gave it to me that same day. There was nothing like cover note, driving school certificate, or any other thing else.

You should have asked them where to get the school certificate and how to write the cover note.

I think they are just trying to obtain you. So, beware.

Either they are paid to defame his character or they have scores to settle. I've not heard them reporting good works of GEJ so looks like they are just paid to follow him around and tell lies to defame his character
