Abeg oo!!!
I know I wouldn't like that at all. At the beginning when it seemed we were on top of the situation i had hope it wouldn't become an epidemic here yet but now without a sense of trajectory, we never can tell sad. And with high risk states coming up it's going to be hard to reopen schools. I am also tired, been at home since the beginning of the year cry

HealthRe: Covid-19: NCDC's Questionable Mission in Kogi by SirWarlock: 4:57pm On May 12, 2020
You have said nothing! This whole thing is tiring already, we don't more emotional and sentimental bad takes. How did states without international entry points get the virus? Wasn't it through movement? Kogi a major route to and fro around the country supposedly hasn't recorded any case yet sad, isn't it better to ascertain now than when it blows out of proportion?. A state that is bordered by 9 states with covid 19 hasn't recorded a case, shouldn't that be cause for concern. As I speak I know people who travel from FCT to kogi hitch free so tell me how kogi is safe?

The sooner the virus is curtailed in every state the better for us all. If truly kogi has nothing to hide, shouldn't yahaya be happy to show it off huh NCDC knew what they were saying about covid spreading to all states eventually unless Nigerians finally decide to be stationary sad oh and also border control becomes totally enforced.

Stay Safe

Meti99:
Thanks bro, the more reasons why i doubt all these fresh cases of the virus...
Where are the new cases getting it from?
Who is infecting them?
.
After close to 2months of shutdown we should not be recording such huge numbers of fresh cases..
By now those infected should have been known, treated or probably die
Thats the thing with community transmission bro. Now imagine someone has the virus and moves from asymptomatic to symptomatic and was probably treating normal fever or cold not knowing it's covid and has spread it to others. Now before the person will get suspected and tested, he would have spread it to many people who depending on their body will also move from asymptomatic to symptomatic and also spread it to others. That's why asymptomatic people are very dangerous. And Nigeria is behind the curve cos we aren't effectively testing, tracing, isolating and treating. To make it worse people are now moving about sad.

As long as we still don't know the virus 100% we'll be having issues like this. I mean US also still records 20k new cases daily and they've been on lockdown since march, also new cases are popping up in China as well

Isn't it rather hypocrisy that most Nigerians from the south are more worried about Kano when Lagos has maintained its unbeaten record as the epicenter of coronavirus in Nigeria?
No surprise Nigerians have imbibed sentiments and hypocrisy. It's that or corona doesn't exist or ncdc playing with figures. Notice when Kano was having huge upsurges? Nigerians think this is a joke, crying about daily updates, then I wonder how people in US and Russia would feel when they record thousands of cases per day and in the US thousands of deaths for straight days!

Meti99:
My simple question is
1. How long does covid 19 symptoms take to manifest..

2. How long does I takebthe virus to kill it's victim?

That's all
1. About 2-14 days. Could take longer

2. That depends on a lot of things. Usually people are asymptomatic and may recover without additional treatment. So it's not an instant death sentence
HealthRe: Dr. Yunusa Thairu Explains COVID-19 Treatment Regimen by SirWarlock: 10:47pm On May 11, 2020
WaffenSS:
This doctor should be fired.

Aluvia or any other HIV drug does not kill any virus, not HIV nor coronavirus. HIV drugs contain the virus, they don't kill it. That's why patients can still infect others. Also there's absolutely no drug now that kills the 2019 coronavirus.

Also the claim that the treatment was agreed with the WHO and the UN is false.

One, the WHO is the UN body for global health matters, so one can't meet with both on health issues as that's redundant and a waste of time and resources.

Two, the WHO has not approved any drug, including chloroquine, to treat Covid-19. The WHO has even actively discouraged the use of chloroquine because it has no effect on Covid-19 and has dangerous side effects.

For Covid-19, vitamin c does not create new cells damaged by the virus, it assists in the absorption of iron, which helps the blood transport oxygen in a body starved of 02.

This people will just say anything even when they've no clue what to do, and are simply trying everything.

That's how the health minister claimed they used remdesivir, when that treatment is barely available even for the US, with a total supply right now of only about 200,000 doses.
Yeah some things in this reports were weird. I mean aren't virus hard to treat due to them hijacking body cells therefore causing self harm?
Also the part about WHO cheesy. Also the chloroquine part: is Lagos using it or not? If yes then what's the news about starting trials soon huh

I'm not critical of your response because it is encouraging for Africans to look inwards for solutions to their problem. But we should not premise conclusions on faulty conjectures masquarding as facts is my take on the Madagascar issue.

Madagascar has carried out less than 4,000 tests amounting to 143 tested people per 1 million in the country and has 193 confirmed cases with zero death with 1 critical case.

Rwanda on the other hand has tested 42,425 people amounting to 3,276 tested people per 1 million population and has 284 confirmed cases with zero death and zero critical case.

Vietnam has 288 confirms cases and zero death despite testing 261,004 people amounting to over 2,700 tests per 1 million people.

In fact Reunion Islands have the highest testing rate of over 19,000 tested people per million and 436 confirmed cases with zero death.

With all the above statistics, there is nothing special about Madagascar to warrant any claims ascribed to their so called organic drug! Their testing rate is horribly low as to border on the irresponsible and they seem to be more concerned with making money from the pandemic than stamping it out of their country.
This should be among first comments. It seems these days useful contributions are the last which shouldn't be. Nice analysis boss

Yes facemask reduces (not prevent) your chances of contacting the virus but it doesn't mean one should be going upandan. Let's observe other guidelines that have been put in place.

I think WHO don't have what it takes to fully study this virus...or they have more political employees to scientists.

There is a common saying; " PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE". The virus have been on ground for almost six months now (December to May) and yet the mode of transmission has not been fully known. That's poor. If it is known, proper preventive tips would have surfaced and made available all over the word.

If by six months now..common things about the virus is not yet understood then statistically, this virus will enter next year. I hope am wrong sha
You're kind of right we don't know the virus 100%. I mean the US still records 20k+ cases everyday shocked and they've been on lock down for 2 months. Also check out other hotspots around the world even with movement restrictions. Are people still getting this by entering other people's cough, sneeze huh. I know there's talk of it being short distance airborne but how much more is the question huh

People get discharge and yet they still tell us no vacinne for covid 19,please what methods were used on discharge patient?
We have been on lockdown practically unnecessary, this said virus will linger, hence we have being thought on ways to protect ourselves, govt should ease the lockdown so people can about their businesses that brings food to their table provided they follow guidelines and protect themselves.
Let's live with the virus as it obvious we can't we with this method. All die na die for those that ignorantly let death come. HIV/AIDS,malaria and other virus where here and we lived with it.
PEOPLE RECOVER FROM THE VIRUS. NOT EVERYONE DIES!

Pardon the all caps, I'm just tired of people thinking covid is a death sentence or because we haven't recorded thousands of deaths the one in Nigeria is fake
