At the end of the day we're going to resume our normal way of life cos this virus aiiint going nowhere.malaria kills far more and we're not locking no one down.
The only problem I see is how easy it is to spread, that might be a decider for our future.
While yeah till a vaccine possibly arrives we might have to learn to live with it but for now we need to suppress it so we can continue with our lives embarassed

I swear only if this shitty government shared money for Nigerian citizen!! They would have stayed in their houses!! Now just see!! Mehn have said it long ago!! Its happy new year 2021! This year is gone!! Now am beginning to think this virus is AIRBORNE!! Not all this handshake ish!
I think it's short distance airborne. I heard breathing the same air can transmit the virus. What I want to really know is can one infect another when he/she just got immediately

It is either the government lock us all down and provide us with what to eat OR they should just leave us alone and let us risk the virus by sourcing for our own food. Las las many of us no go die.
at this point nothing. Unless there's extremely strict lockdown(probably involving the military), people aren't going back into their homes just like that

Viruses are so small that the only way to see them is via electron microscopes, which are extremely complex and expensive devices.

How do you hope the traditional herbalists will be able to see the virus and test the efficacy of their potions?

How would they check its effects on vital organs to ensure safety for human consumption?

There's no drug in the world that directly kills the virus, most therapies seek to degrade the virus' ability to penetrate human cells and thus prevent it from manufacturing copies of itself. This requires sophisticated knowledge and medical devices to test.

So how would some village babalawo with his herbacious cocktail of randomness figure out how the virus works and how to attack it?
They won't answer cheesy. It's African herbs this, African cure that, forefathers then cheesy
HealthRe: Lagos Records 2 COVID-19 Deaths by SirWarlock: 10:42pm On May 07, 2020
SmallmebigGod:
You are have been tricked by Madagascar publicity stunt. In a treatment center I know here, all patient get the active ingredient of that herb which is actually in our antimalarial. , it works for malaria doesn't work for covid. I am happy their president claim he want to do a trial on it now. Let's see the outcome. The claim of no death can not be attributed to that drug alone if the drug helped at all. Rwanda, as at the last time I checked doesn't have covid 19 related death and they are not using the Madagascar wonder as at then likewise few other countries
It looks like Madagascar wants to cash out wink cos I don't know how they managed to create so much fuss about their supposed cure. If the world cared this much why didn't we bother Vietnam that has also recorded 0 deaths

Some of them are waiting for videos and images of people in ICU before they can believe ncdc whereas 90% of cases recorded persons in Nigeria have moderate to mild symptoms. God will help us
I like how Nigerians make noise about not following the whites only to look up to them and in this case ICU videos cheesy.

This only depicts data of confirmed cases from the 1st of May, not the number of testing done since March. How about we have daily 'testing statistics' of Lagos, Ogun and FCT from the 26th of March, when Jack Ma's kits landed in the country? Not confirmed cases, only number testing done since then.

Did the NCDC disclose how many tests it carried out yesterday? The day before or the day before thathuh

NCDC may not be in charge of the country's finances, but nothing stops it/and the Health ministry from being accountable with the money spent so far.
Look at their dates. You should also check their situation report site for their daily updates as new cases get confirmed https://ncdc.gov.ng/diseases/sitreps/?cat=14&name=An%20update%20of%20COVID-19%20outbreak%20in%20Nigeria

The secrecy is totally uncalled for. This issue was discussed yeaterday on Nigeriainfofm by Hamza, leader of CODE/followthemoney Initiative . Corruption is the only reason NCDC will not disclose the number oof testing to Nigerians. Hell, they wouldn't even let anyone in on how they have been spending the donations received so far.
They do disclose number of tests done undecided. Concerning donations, ncdc isn't in charge of Nigeria's finances is it?

as it is now, lockdown will not help us much again, we just hope a cure surfaces asap, and for all those branding their cures, govt should just try them on the patients, as far as the ministry of health refuses to try the meds produced locally to check their efficacy, it means govt is hiding smth or there are more sinister moves than meets the eye....now ppl are shouting and saying the Lockdown should not have been lifted, but many families with kids to cater for have started suffering....and govt cannot help, so they have to follow the unfortunate option
My thoughts exactly. Unless they're ready to lockdown Lagos and the rest of the country till year end or if a miraculous vaccine shows up, the graving damage has been done already. I just feel for we students who are going to pay the price of an inept government and it's people cry cry

please how do we know all those test kits have not been sprayed with corona virus before shipment to Africa.

I am saying, an healthy person will go for a test, when they use the test kit on him that was already sprayed with corona, the test will come out positive and the person gets infected with the virus..

what am I even saying.. that Tanzania case calls for deep thinking..

well what do u expect when our govt are bunch of "yes men" to the whites. them no dey use eye see dollars, IMF donate, World Bank donate, WHO donate, late Abacha Donate, China donate.

I wish we could see the number of tests conducted on each day broken down by state so we can actually interpret these figures.

If a state is testing more people, a large number of new cases is not so alarming. If a state tested almost nobody, a low number is not reassuring.
This. Especially for this states still recording very low numbers

Nonsense angry where are these people coming from. We need to question the efficacy of the testing kits or the system rather. These cases might be coming from places where the lock down order was adhered to. How come!!!

Abeggg
Lockdown can stop or limit the spread IF strictly adhered to and authorities act fast and do the needful . In Nigeria's case we had not finished mapping out who and who had the virus, before people started moving again. So this community spreading will go on and on. In fact I dread next week cry

Nigerians acting like Nigeria is too big to get corona grin. Like just 3000 cases we're acting up. I wonder what the Italians and Americans would say about this cry
