If you pay someone to write for your cosib now, what about the classroom, will someone write their exams, tests and assignments for them.

Reschedule don't cancel
OJN01:
Please house, if i you cancel appointment and sees a new date that is closer who do i go about it. Do i cancel the current appointment and reschedule or how do i go about it
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Sisib15: 10:16pm On May 07, 2023
That's why you have not been seeing dates, since last week the embassy has been releasing favorable dates for first but for those that have been denied before even if you pick regular you might not see favorable date. You may see May 18 ,2023 using the cancel option but to reschedule you will see 2024
Dgabby01:
Yes, last year December.
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Sisib15: 4:14pm On May 07, 2023
Have you been denied before
Dgabby01:
Hello everyone, please I'm having a problem with getting a date in Abuja embassy. I can only see a recent date in cancel option but the reschedule option is always on 2024. Please has anyone encountered this before, what can I do to pick the recent date I always see in the cancel option.
TravelRe: Missing Middle Name On Appointment Confirmation Letter by Sisib15: 11:07am On May 07, 2023
What do you wish to hear that it will affect you.The Vo works with what is on your passport. I had two names on appointment confirmation. Even on my dsI60 but on my passport it's three, so why are you stressing the issue
marshalMmM:
Please can you confirm if you know someone or have had first hand experience about this, and the person was allowed for the interview?

TravelRe: Quitting Good Job For Australia Study Visa by Sisib15: 8:46pm On May 05, 2023
Thank this advice and perish
JeffreyJunior:
If I were you in the current Nigeria, I'd keep the job for now, find a way to get in touch with the school and put the admission on hold.

I'd also see if I can get in touch with the embassy and defer or cancel the visa with the hope of having it renewed at a later date.

I would like to explore the new job for now and save as much as I could and then travel with good financial strength later.

The school can always wait. If you abandon that job and travel now to start afresh in an entirely new environment with little or not enough cash, you'll regret it.

A contract Job is has no Job security, the oga may decide to kick you out at any time. I think you should go with your study abroad plans
SundayphilipNic:
Greetings ladies and gentlemen.

Please I'm in a serious confused state. it gives me sleepless night. I have Admission to study Msc in Engineering Technology and Management. my visa has been granted since fabruary this year. i was supposed to start my program the same fabruary but due to the fact that the visa was granted a bit late, i had to differ the admission to july intake. That same fabruary i got a job here in Nigeria. the benefit attached to the job are as follow:
Salary is 540k Net.
HMO for me and my family.
28 days work, 14 day time off.
yearly Renewal of my contract bonus is x2 of my Salary.
No pension.
it's a contract job that can last for minimum of 3years.
Now my confusion is quiting this job to start afresh in Australia on a study visa. Please Gurus in the house. do you think am taking a good decision in this my Australia journey? Does quitting my job for my study worth it.
NOTE i have booked my flight to depart First week of june. Should i go for my tuition fee and ticket refund and continue with this new job?

Moreso, my job experience is in quality control welding inspector, Bsc in Agricultural Engineering and Msc in Engineering Technology and Management. can i get PR with this my different fields.

TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Sisib15: 7:08pm On May 02, 2023
Thank you! There is no direct flight to my school
Somatohadidas:
Certainly. Your initial airport of arrival upon reaching the United States will serve as your point of entry.

This depends on your final destination and flight itinerary.
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Sisib15: 12:54am On May 02, 2023
Can POE be done any where
chibertha:
Advise for families coming with children (age gestation to 13years)

For those traveling soon, ensure you do the following:

Daycare and or after-school services
Contact and reserve daycare and after-school providers, especially those going to big cities. The waitlist is always long.
Possible places to look are
Headstart and early head start (free)
Preschool in your zip code (free)
Community centers (some are free)

For those who have the money, you can look for providers you can pay by yourself if your kids are not US citizens, but if they are, contact the county childcare office. They will pay some or all the fees for you but start early.

Mobility
Plan to get a car so you can easily do school runs for the little ones
Plan according to your pocket; Look for something that has both AC and heater that can take you from point A to B (this is not the time for effizy)

Accommodation
Ensure you get a place that is a walking distance from school.
What I did;- my house is a 6min walk from the school. After dropping my little one at daycare, I park the car at home and walk to school.
I no get money to pay for parking tickets every semester or pay $1/hr in some garage, or pay 50 cents parking on the road.

If you have any questions, please ask here so I can answer to the benefit of others too.
FamilyRe: Census: My First Census Experience As A Single Living Alone. Hows It Going To Be by Sisib15: 3:59pm On Apr 29, 2023
grin
EriMma1:
Census is here again!!! Coming up next week Wednesday through Friday.

So been thinking... 🤔 how is this census going to be for singles? The last time I experienced it was in the family house with everyone still living under the same roof.

I'm thinking I should go to my elder sisters house and do mine or will I be the only one they'll count in my apartment? Under which family tree kwanu?

What ya think?
TravelRe: Please I Need Advice From People In Abuja. Am Depressed! by Sisib15: 10:25am On Apr 29, 2023
If he's earning 150k as a salary which is consistent, it will go a long way in achieving his dreams to study abroad and also there are scholarships that pays for one's ticket and all
onihaxy:
From the beginning of my post, you can see where I asked how?, where and when? Isn't it. That should answer your first paragraph.

For the second paragraph. Please post links to LinkedIn post or university publication of the schools that pays for flight of students.

I myself schooled abroad, US to be precised so I know about funding, GA, on campus jobs, RA and the likes which I am not disputing. The fact I am disputing is university paying for your flight. Please post links and proofs.

The university will also pay for entrance exams like GRE, GMAT, IELTS, TOEFL and the likes right?,
The university will also pay for WES or any other credentials evaluation right?
The university will also pay for SEVIS or any other body in the proposed country for him right?

That reminds me too, the university will also pay for his visa application fees, police certificate (if required) and also lodge him in 5 star hotel too shey?.

The university will even do shoppings for him before boarding his free flight too I guess.

The university will even pay his passport fees at Nigeria immigration service as well.

Uncle. I am a realist and do not live in fantasy island. 150k naira savings (about $200 ) WILL NOT DO ANY SHIT in international admission. That's even tier 2 schools application fees alone in the US
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Sisib15: 11:19am On Apr 28, 2023
I don't think there is any, just state why you were denied on your ds160
Roughfyzay:
Is there any implication in choosing regular instead of previously denied as someone who had been previously denied visa? I was denied in early March but couldn’t see any dates until I chose regular before I was able to secure date.
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Sisib15: 11:17am On Apr 28, 2023
Choose regular and on your dsI60, you will state that you were denied
Loluuuuuu21:
Yes I’ve been experiencing the same thing since February, I think it’s happening to everyone that was denied last year who reapplied this year , because the first timers are seeing the calendar. So I guess we just have to wait maybe that’ll get fixed . Or maybe it’s their new way .

Whala. Get your visa first!
Matrix137:
Dear Nairalanders, so I was born in Nigeria and have lived all my life in this country till this moment ( I'm 22 now). However, my aunt based in United States has offered to bring me to the country. Processing my documents already.

However I'm scared I may put me or her family in trouble when I get there cos America is a civilized country and I'm used to the crude ways and behaviors here which is already part of me and will likely replicate them in America which will surely put me in trouble with the law.

Behaviors like urination on the streets, throwing garbage on the road and many uncivilized behaviors too numerous to mention. So please how do I Behave myself over there. Thanks for reading.

RomanceRe: Traveling Out, Do I Sponsor Myself Or My Wife by Sisib15: 9:02am On Apr 23, 2023
There is a thread on nairaland that says "my girlfriend doesn't want to take my abroad after I sponsored her". Read and learn from there
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Sisib15: 6:58pm On Apr 22, 2023
That's why he said you should read and moreover, if you had taken your time to read the previous pages, you will see where it was started that abuja embassy is fully in operation
photoberi:
@Biglyanga, thanks for your input but I am unsure what you are talking about? Who told me what?

The U.S embassy in Abuja restricted operations late last year due to security issues in Abuja, this was even posted on the U.S Abuja embassy website. I read it myself, no one told me this. Couldn't get any appointment for December last year.

I have checked their website and I didn't see any info about resumption of full operations and that's why I asked if anyone knows if the U.S embassy in Abuja is now fully operational and taking F1 appointments now.

Pls let me know if I am missing anything thanks.
