this man almost killed me with laughter lol. hahaha. oh man. if i be president, na that kind responsibility i go delegate to my VP lol SamuelAnyawu: |
You are now saying Chad is a colony and not independent? okay. comparing crimea/Russia or US /Alaska. these are different scenarios. Alaska was purchased, the crimea and the soviets have their own history. I didnt know chad share border with france, or darn, how did African countries managed to gain their independence fro. the all powerful West. don't fall for mirage and take control of your own destiny. until we do that, we will keep kneeling in front of these fools. There are countries and leaders that went against the west and survived it. its nothing new. The consequences might be dire, but atleast they aren't beholden to any foreign power. you belittle the strength of the continent because you have no faith in it, france is movable, so chad is poor, and that's an excuse for subjugation? its their land, their independent territory. Not France's. sentiments or not. I don't know much about military stuff, but politics and optics, i know quite a bit. Compare Assad to Ghadafi, one was calm and collected, the other was insane, to the point of threatening to level tripoli than to see it fall. That was a critical error he made in his messaging and the West used that against him. oh he's about to kill everyone in tripoli, he has to be stopped. Gotta control your messaging and temperament kabe1: |
There you go. it's all about the messaging. lobby chinese vocal support, Russia etc, there's literally nothing france can do to overide the entire wishes of a continent and support from some other big countries. messaging matters, and showing the capacity to get the job done is also critical such scenario. France isn't some all powerful entity. There are limits, and the world still have rules that Govern it Litmus: |
Well now they can say he died a hero, for Chad. wouldn't it be nice if these weaklings who call themselves leaders actually lead battles, we'd have fewer wars ![]() Odunayaw: |
That's your opinion. All good talking about capacity and structural integrity. Haven't such deployment happen before? smh. we act like when it comes down to it we wouldn't do the needful. so what if there was no france, we fold our arms and allow terrorists run amock? the capacity is there, the will isn't. And i don't recall saying the AU should deploy soldiers. I was talking about authorization for ecowas deployment into chad. kabe1: |
Right? it only take one opportunity. And that leader is gone. youghs: |
Like i stated, not as simple as i put it. sure they could, which is why he wouldn't just sit on a throne all relaxed. loyalty can be bought, he would have lots of work to do to stay in power in my hypothetical scenario. youghs: |
Nah. they choose their self interest over democracy. All day, everyday. These fvkers are nothing but hypocrites? china vs Cuba comes to mind. Or Saudi Arabia. The coup in Egypt etc. Nigeria need a backer. if not for Russia (yes they have their own interest too) Assad would be dead or in prison by now. Had Assad been their Ally on the other hand, they would support him, they will look the other way once they get a base on Syrian soil ![]() lebuhsi: |
if there's a need to intervene in chad, we can go thru the AU, its all about audacity and actually having a spine, clarify your objectives and reasons for such deployment. if the AU and Ecowas approves deployment into chad, with the support of the chadian Govt, , France can not stop it. this is the problem black people keep having, we put ourselves down and put these westerners on a pedestal. call their bluff, as long as you aren't committing atrocities, there's nothing france or the west can do to stop such deployment. All they need is an excuse, take that away from them by doing things right, and their opinion become irrelevant. you wouldn't know until you try. Our problem in Sub-Saharan Africa is our lack of assertiveness. what a shame. |
bro, this is politics, end of they day they will bribe him with their support. but to say he can not? fvk yea he can. question is, is he willing to face the consequence. its still a sovereign nation. Not saying it's as simple as I'm putting it. but if he want them out, he can ask them to leave, its their right, and when this blows all over the world, france gets labeled a colonizer and downhill it goes from there. lots of these countries try to protect their image, that's why backroom deals happen, without the general public knowing what's going on kabe1: |
if he becomes the President and want to send france packing, he can. And there's no darn thing france can do to him. only way they can retaliate is via economic sabotage. The world has changed, sure france have deep reach over there, but it's not absolute. sbeet. France's reputation can be easily ruined if they make unpopular move, and all it takes is a few strokes on a keyboard. The world is more sensitive than before. Only reason he might be unable to if he wanted would be if they have some sort of agreements in place, And I'm talking about french military presence in the region. Chad isn't powerless, only risk i see for them in my scenario is economic |
the problems will subside when we stop electing clueless idiots into office and carry out overdue reforms. Until then, enjoy those dusty filthy streets and constant power outages, amongst many other ailments in naija. Its literally not rocket science to build a prosperous nation, many others have done it. Issue is, just like in the military, Nigeria as a nation refuse to learn and adapt. it's weird. youghs: |
Yup. dead. the man often go to hot zones, admirable, but reckless. Now his 37yr old son will take over, why the fvk is that. A four star general haha. guess they might have him there for another 30yrs too. smh Africa |

I think here in the US they pay deployed soldiers what they call "Hazard Pay", i could be wrong though. but I've heard it somewhere before. SamuelAnyawu: |
Based on some random person's tweet? Do you know who that person is? Their source of information? How una just dey believe anything spewed by random people online is so adorable , not in a funny way. Not saying the man is lying or not. But me no go react on unverified info yoged: |
Curious as to why you quote me on this. And where did you get this rumor from? if people have such info, then at least the name of this minister should also be stated. Or you forgot his name? Jakpon: |

Every time i hear about violence, it's often in the North, why is that ![]() |
I honestly felt like strapping a few C4's on those cops and trigger it. I mean, c'mon, what the actual fvk? If i were that guy i'd be nervous, these motherfvkers would kill for money. This is too sad. I hope he's jailed, then use his story as part of the training in whatever academy these A-holes graduate from. Cops that can't even turn on a computer lol, are they the ones who would know how to read a fvking map. So disappointing . Some blatant sh!t right there. This is why i keep saying the media have a very powerful role to play here, imagine most media outlets in Nigeria broadcasting this for a few days, in every segment. I'm sure those in the higher ups will take notice and actually respond to it. You have to shame these bastards continuously DubaiLandLord: |
And the war would be won because of this one commander i keep hearing about? A country of over 200 million souls, pinning it's hope on one man. What happens (God forbid) if that one man get killed in action? We stop fighting war on terror? Naija, be creative. |
x |
That's my point. be creative. Bh and Iswap didn't become this overnight. The Nigerian state allowed them the room to grow and multiply. Any security conscious country wouldn't have allowed this. we keep beating our chests while our citizens are busy running for their lives and seeking refuge in Niger etc. we failed. not saying the soldiers aren't doing what they can, it's the leadership i have issues with. And to the hot tempered fool above, people don't have to be soldiers to have an opinion or criticize. Its their right to express their disappointment. I sometimes criticize because its annoying how these fools are still out there roaming about. i wish them all dead ![]() Covert1: |
that write up gave me a chuckle. Enemy holding territory on home soil, constantly taking the fight to our troops. something is wrong somewhere. if only we have the mentality of the Israelis, these sort of nonsense wouldn't have happened. by now all of bh would have died eating something laced with poison ![]() Those guys don't joke with anything that threatens their security |
playing defense on home soil. all these repelling. must be tiring |
its a battle of Will. beylinko02: |

Abi, me just dey look out for the man and him friend now, na so he catch fire and replied with insult. Wetin man go do but watch. GeneralFarouq: |
wow, use my sense huh? sorry sir. carry on. JOSCOFELIX: |
Now all the military have to do is look for a soldier who got shot in the hand a few days ago and punish him for divulging military information to you. ![]() some things you keep private. so it doesn't lead back to him JOSCOFELIX: |
Is there a reason you continue to disrespect this man? What's your problem, act mature and stop this childish nonsense. Stephandesward: |
