I hope you open eyes well my brother.
Or you missed the part where i asked if those in Western countries fell from heaven?
Or the fact that i wasn't even the one who brought up Western countries.
Hell right there in Algeria them get better police lol, no need bringing up Western countries for comparison. Quote the right person next time.
I mean how the heck are you dragging a suspect behind you while he can easily reach for you rifle, which was also behind you lol, while that suspect was not restrained. Jeez, you need to be a westerner to know that was stupid?
I be black man who no be cop, and i can see the numerous mistakes these cops made in that video. Well, good luck with all that though, thank god dem no start slapping each other fighting over which agency should lead the operation grin grin grin

seankafor:
why is it that most people and Nigerians likes to compare everything this country does to other nations?
Why cant we appreciate what we have and move on?

Person will go to another man's land, and start comparing it with his own country?

There was a robbery and the security operatives responded swiftly without no civilian and security casualties.. instead of been positive, we re here comparing professionalism this professionalism that?

Are we western ? Must we do like western to be contempted?
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 1:04am On Dec 29, 2019
And for the record, I'm not hating, they got their suspects, i just wish they'd do better, that's the pain here, better performance and professionalism .
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 1:00am On Dec 29, 2019
Attitude like that is why things will never change, it's the mentality.
We shouldn't be praising lack of training, discipline etc, nothing in that video is good enough, we should strive to do better, not be content with bs.
Those in Western countries didn't fall from heaven, they disciplined and trained themselves, it's not rocket science.
They do that in a real country where professionalism is key, every single one of those cops will be taken off the street until they are re-trained
But hey, if it's good enough for Nigerians right? Then all good
tsdarkside:
its not gonna work with nigerians....
too rough....

dont expect nigeria to become like western nations....
but the job was still done....thats important....chaotic,but the job was done....

am more surprised all agencies reacted....
police, army and people that i dont even know exist....they were all their....
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 10:30pm On Dec 28, 2019
I no be cop, but isn't it just common sense to tape off a crime scene? crowd control etc, see how disorganized they are
@5.45 or so into the video, this silly cop was dragging a suspect behind him, without restraint, while suspect's fingers were literally a few inches from this cop's guns, which was swinging behind him. A cop unaware if his gun is secure, lord have mercy
All i see in that video no dirt, even the cops look dirty, smh

Fynline:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vn8HQjmH1eM

So much for professionalism. I take it that the armed robbers are not the serious ones from the creeks.

Who be Grand New grin

rka2:
Some more info on the deep blue project on the NN's website:

"Deep Blue Project. The Deep Blue Project (DBP) is a maritime security project conceived by the FMOT aimed at combating piracy and other criminalities in the nation’s maritime domain. The Project comprises procurement of equipment and systems, and training for their operation and maintenance. The NN has been collaborating with the FMOT through NIMASA with whom an existing MOU is currently running.]The main deliverables for the NN from the Project are 3x Leonardo Helicopter (LH109) Grand New, 2 x 55M Special Mission Vessels (SMVs) and 17 x 9.6m Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIBs) as interceptor boats. Others are UAVs, C4I Center and training facilitation for the intervention team. The NN however, counts on the Committee’s support for FMoT to make provision for the sustenance of this critical equipment, to avoid past mistakes."

Could it partly be because the Russians produce their own arms while the Saudis mainly import theirs

kabe1:
I know Russia has a huge stockpile of Soviet era weapons, but the Soviet union was like 85% Russia. The industrial base was mostly in Russia, the other countries were small satellite states. Only Ukraine was any significance.

But the old Soviet union apart.

If we look at Russian modernization programme, they have bought more planes, more ships, more land systems that all the countries in the world apart from USA. On the navy side, only China has bought more.

How do you achieve that, when you spend less than Saudi Arabia?

Are Russian gears really inexpensive? MI-35M, 12 units cost Nigeria 350 million dollars. If you compare it with the Super Tucano Nigeria bought from USA at 400 million dollars, although not a direct comparison to the MI-35m you will see the costs are the same or even cheaper in favour of the Tucano, remember the lists of bombs we are getting with the Tucano too?

Why is this?

And what are you doing to make it better? other than running your mouth.
And talking about being poorly trained, fact that a so called Colonel friend of yours discussing internal disciplinary action against a personnel with you shows that he is also poorly trained, there ya go

KingAzubuike:
The Nigerian military has some of the poorly trained personnel's you can find around. Poor equipments, outdated rifles, fighter jets, gun boats etc.. everything na just joke.

There's one of them called mrmicholo on nairaland. He has a case with a colonel friend of mine and actions are being taken already.

So many ignorant comments on here regarding prayer. Those cops, soldiers fighting BH, regardless of their religious beliefs, still carry weapons with them in the front right? They don't say they've prayed, no guns needed.
Prayer give believers a sense of peace and confidence, it doesn't necessarily mean it works, but if it help that person cope, then that's their business, don't knock it.
Not different from saying "RIP", i can assure you that whether you are a pope or you are Hitler, death is death, no such thing as RIP, ( my own view), but people still say it while mourning etc, because it gives them comfort.
I stopped believing in all that, i see life as whatever is gonna happen, will happen, regardless. But if someone have prayer in their toolkit, so what

I still wonder if units in the NA have someone in charge troops in said unit answer to, like for real, how soldiers act in the field without anyone in leadership role is odd to me.
Just finally watched the entire clip of the vid i mentioned earlier, how on earth did soldiers tie up a suspect, dig a shallow grave, toss him there and riddle him with bullets and then cover his body with sand behind someone's fence.
Like how did the person in charge in such scenario allow this? This is war crime, nothing more, a professional army shouldn't be doing this
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 6:40am On Nov 07, 2019
I get you, but that's the difference btw criminals and those who are supposed to be professionals, you can't be what you are trying to eliminate .

You are funny, Russia took Crimea, what did the world do about it?
USA is driving military vehicles all over Syria and took control of their oil fields and built military base there, what did the world do?
US attacked Iraq based on lies and is responsible for over 200,000 deaths, what did the world do?
why are you talking as if you were born yesterday.
No one is saying the US will just decide overnight to attack Nigeria, the event that might lead to it is not the discussion, who wins a military conflict btw the two is what we are talking about
We will get smoked fast. Dude, do you have any idea the assets that country has? careful what you wish for.
And to think Russia and China would fight on our behalf? lol, don't wait on it, we don't have the wealth or resources to arm ourselves to the teeth to even have a chance.
In such scenario, Russia or China would probably tell use to sign over all our oil to them, in other to sell us arms, even though they know darn well there is not enough arms they can sell us that will make much difference, Either way we lose

quote author=seankafor post=83724019] what makes u think Nigeria fvcks with China and Russia of recent?
You think the world will fold its arms and watch the USA trample on a sovereign state's democracy?

You write like it will be easy as abcd just like movies undecided[/quote]
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 7:00am On Nov 04, 2019
US or Nato will struggle against Nigeria? haha, i don ear am finish, if you truly know the extent of US military power, it will make you feel it's the end of the world, let's not even go there, US will occupy every single neighboring country near us, with or without their consent, and will destroy us by land and sea, shoot, all they need to do is grease some palm, and those neighboring countries becomes US allies, if the US should use excessive force for example, the taliban would be history by now, problem is they are simply avoiding collateral damage, if not, all of Afghanistan would be durst by now
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Sizzorkay:
Peace? These mother effers are devils in disguise,go and ask the over 200,000 Iraqis that died if they were happy Bush lunched an unjust war against their country, not even Sadam would have killed that many of his people, America is responsible for over 200,000 deaths over there.
Don't glorify these A-holes i beg, you don't know 5% of the sheet they do all over the world, heck we should stop posting US military pics here.

Speak your mind if you disagree, it's like saying who built the houses ISIS occupies in Syria, well, they were taken from rightful owners, this is war, shit get left behind, and vehicles are one of those things. So not sure what the question marks were all about, and i never said that as the only avenue, i listed others, these are terrorists, they use and take whatever they can get, so don't cherry pick my comments bro grin

I think Iraq and Syria have car dealerships lol, for example, I mean, if you were a manager in a car dealership in a war zone, wouldn't you run for dear life and say to hell with the trucks. not to talk of the many one abandoned by their owners
And yes they use money from illegal dealings, sponsors etc, I mean, obviously these guys are being bankrolled somehow.
Just me guessing, who the heck knows
kikuyu1:
Wow! You're right;my bad! Still doesn't detract from the fact that 90% of all official narratives are 100% B.S. Btw, who supplied ISIS 2000 new Toyota pickups in the first place?
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Sizzorkay: 5:45pm On Nov 01, 2019
In an era of doctored images and false narratives, i hear ya.
But unlike Shekau, ISIS acknowledged the man's death, why do you keep missing that part? i mean, they released a statement about this and named a successor .
kikuyu1:
What about his previous 'deaths?' What about Shekau-how many times has he been declared 'dead' and resurfaces on AFP videos? With that mentality the official story of 911 is true:hijackers, burning fuel, melting steel etc, etc. Most official narratives are complete BS. We should be free to present counterfactual evidence though we believe what we will!
Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Sizzorkay: 3:22pm On Nov 01, 2019
grin, another conspiracy theorist, you do realize that ISIS has confirmed their leader's death right? Guess heart attack killed him when he saw a stray dog lol.

I don't know much about military matters, but shouldn't the soldier with the dog be in the front of the team? you know, with the dog more in the front of the troops instead of in the rear, it's kind of useless if the canine is in the rear no?
