What's a fulani herdsmen? Did the kidnappers have herds of cattle or something or this has taken on an ethnicity of its own , speaking a certain language doesn't mean they all have same occupation, no? I call them kidnappersjust wondering out loud Toju200: |
That was a stupid thing to say Tinfoil: |
Sure, it's all about smart marketing strategy, they have to go to those countries and show them what they have to offer Tinfoil: |
I admire your optimism, perhaps in another generation Funny thing about catching up, those you wanna catch up with won't be stagnant, they are investing heavily in future generations etc , by the time you get to where they are now, they are already way ahead, if we truly want to even make an attempt, fix the population first, that is, massive investment in education, recruitment of brilliant minds once they graduate, infrastructure etc, bank loans with repayment period that's longer than 2 weeks with insane interest rate, it's a long road my friend, especially in a country like ours being led by people who aren't serious, wouldn't hold my breath, but anything is possible sha, in 200yrs ![]() Toju200: |
Hahaha, i know right? All i did as watch for days how these guys (everyone involved) almost ran the thread to the ground, i didn't take sides GeneralFarouq: |
I chased who away? Think you quoted me by mistake? People are free to air their opinion, an overkill is what's irriating, nothing new in what anyone here is saying, we've all said thesame, why go on and on about it thereby ruining the thread? What does that achieve, both sides were throwing insult pages back, wasn't one sided, a little rant is fine, using 10 pages for it is madness, enough already Chelseafan99: |
Can't we discuss on these threads without biting off each other's head , ![]() take a chill pill people, carry on Bidexiii, i came here for pictures ![]() |
Except those countries, the US included, do not have the money either, all are borrowed, that's a fact. Every single developed country out there is drowning in debt, Nigeria's debt is pretty low compared, so it's all about having the stomach for accumulating debt, difference is, those countries use the money for good, the fear with Nigeria is, where will that borrowed money land. US is owing over 18 trillion dollars in debt, think about that amount for a moment , tiny Israel is owing over 88 billion, so yea, if we can do the same, we will have all the toys we need |
lol, these people gotta get their priorities straight, the military shouldn't be wasting scare resource on a freaking gulf course |
CIA factbook my rear. 2018 budget was 25 Billion dollars and change Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari signed the country’s budget of 9.12 trillion naira today on Wednesday. The spending plan was approved by the two chambers of the National Assembly and was passed to the presidency on May 16, 2018 jln115: |

Do not become what you are trying to eliminate. (Pre- Boko Haram)forcing unarmed men to lay on the road side and executing them in broad day light is not how any Nation should function, killing a suspected militant leader while in police custody while handcuffed is pure murder and should have never happened. So if some of you guys think it's okay for the Govt to ignore court orders and execute people in broad day light while unarmed and posing no threat, then the country deserve the resulting chaos of such actions . Why even pretend to be democratic |
might wanna quote the right person next time jarell: |
![]() any aggresive arab in the house raise your hand lol EVarn: |
Haha, oh man, more like some serious E-gathering lol. Ashe gare lol Odunayaw: |
Why compare? Don't go there, no need for all that? Jeez man, about to start another meltdown on here with all that. Let's celebrate what we've done and leave others to theirs. MiddleDimension: |
No sh!t Henry, that was a beauty, damn. I was literally not expecting that lol, That looks good |
It's called R&D for a reason.... That's how other countries acquire their skills and products, we can do same, except it might be cheaper to collaborate than go it alone |

Sad, but dude should have stopped at the checkpoint if what I read is true. This is where confusion happens, no reason why CJTF should operate anywhere without military or police personnel present, they aren't Govt officials and should have zero power over civilians. All these could have been a simple confusion, perhaps dead guy took them for BHT, and they took him for same, oh well Sizzorkay: |
https://news.yahoo.com/nigeria-protesters-demand-end-anti-boko-haram-militia-174543018.html Kano (Nigeria) (AFP) - More than 2,000 people protested Sunday in the northern Nigerian city of Maiduguri, calling for a ban on the anti-Boko Haram CJTF militia they accuse of abuses after the killing of a rickshaw driver. The protesters blocked major roads in the Suleimanti area of the city and set fires, causing chaos despite pleas from police and military officers, an AFP reporter at the scene saw. "We want the CJTF to be banned from the city because of the abuses we suffer in their hands," said Suleimanti resident Bukar Saleh. "They have become a law unto themselves and are treating us badly. And now they have started killing us," Saleh said. The CJTF militia tried to stop the demonstration, attacking protesters with batons and arresting scores of them. The protest erupted hours after a rickshaw driver was shot dead near a militia checkpoint. "The victim was a known resident and his name was Modu but the CJTF just shot him for no reason," Saleh said. The CJTF insisted however that the victim was shot for failing to stop at a checkpoint during nighttime curfew hours. The militia have intensified night patrols in the area in recent days following incursions by the jihadists, he said. "The driver's refusal to stop raised the suspicion of our men and one of them took him down, because they believed he was a Boko Haram terrorist on a mission," Babakura Abba-Ali, the CJTF head in Suleimanti area, said. The militia man was handed over to the police for investigation, Abba-Ali added. The CJTF emerged in 2013 as a vigilante group in response to Boko Haram's deadly attacks in Maiduguri. Young men and women mobilised and started going door-to-door hacking to death known Boko Haram members and forcing the jihadists to flee the city. The vigilantes were later organised into a militia force and embedded with the military to fight the jihadist group. Late Saturday, Boko Haram jihadists killed four people and looted food supplies when they raided Gamurari village, some 90 kilometres (60 miles) from Maiduguri, militia and residents said. The decade-long Boko Haram conflict has killed at least 27,000 people and forced some two million to flee their homes in Nigeria alone. The violence has spilled into neighbouring Niger, Chad and Cameroon, prompting a regional military response to fight the jihadist group |
I don't wanna get into an argument, but you missed the boat on the point i was trying to make. I'm saying this has happened, not the first time, won't be the last, BH released propaganda video and that upset you? What do you think happens when own troops are overran and we hear about their deaths? That doesn't upset you? But a propaganda video does? I guess BH got their point across then. Why would i be okay with our troops dying, I'm saying don't fall for BH props. Every death is painful, but unless i can change things from where i am, i don't see the point of getting high blood pressure over it. And to compare foreign troops dying in a country their countrymen and women didn't know they were deployed in is weird. We don't have much outrage in Nigeria because the media houses sucks, if those journalists do more, there will be outrage. If the Citizens aren't well informed, well ugo4u: |
What does denial gotta do with it, had to delete my previous comment about this, so BHT released propaganda video, what else is new? We all know we've taken loses and lost battles. Jeez |

I don't get that bidexiii: |
Did you actually read the press release? The military just made clear they have presence around that forest and fly helicopters there etc. So your idea is, a foreign Govt have their own heli in the same environment where the Nigerian military is operating out of? How does that make sense? They gave a clear explanation for the helicopters people were seeing, as theirs. Litmus: |
