And you think i have a problem, please point out where i insulted you. I would like to see that. Stop getting too emotional, i never insulted you. You are asking people to search for part 1, yet you were the one who posted part 2, right? Well, that was the subject of my comment. Regardless what part 1 says, part 2 says we caught up with SA based on air power, we didn't. It's that simple, IS jane or not, or whatever you said. And for a great contributor, if you want to be taken seriously, how about you stop spreading lies on here? Because that JF-17 you claimed have landed, is yet to be seen, the thing dey your car garage? I beg let us see am SLBMS: You have a problem. Watch the PART ONE and READ the preceding article before judging a book by its cover. When will you people learn to disagree with someone without issuing insult and curses. Why do you all act like kids in this forum? |

Minor casualty? The fvk is that? Even if you lose one soldier, that ain't minor, it's a freaking life lost bidexiii: NO SUPPLIES NO LOGISTICS AS BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS STRIVE TO SURVIVE.
The recent strategy adopted by the untiring and dogged troops of Operation Lafiya Dole in conducting robust and aggressive fighting patrols coupled with simultaneous clearance operations within the North East has been highly effective. These actions were aimed to complement the efforts of Operation Yancin Tafki by the Multi National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) currently ongoing along the borders of the lake chad region.
Recently, it has been observed that the few elements of the Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) earlier bombarded and chased out of their enclaves were left with depleted number of fighters and supplies. They are presently feeling the colossal storm of the joint operations and are now looking for ways to sneak into town for food supplies, logistics and most importantly weapons.
In their desperate and fruitless efforts, they resolved in springing surprise attacks on soft targets, smaller units, including civilian settlement with market advantage within the Theatre. It is in this regard, troops of 254 Task Force Battalion at Forward Operation Base (FOB) Kimba while on clearance operation along Sabon Gari in 25 Task Force Brigade Area of Operations - Damboa, came in contact with the terrorists on 27 April, 2019.
During the encounter, troops were reinforced and gave the terrorists a lethal fight with only minor casualty on own troops and few damaged equipment. Dozens of the BHTs were decimated and several others escaped with severe gunshot wounds. Normalcy has since returned to the general area while troops dominated all likely escape routes of the terrorists.
We therefore call on the general public to disregard the unsubstantiated story circulating in some media outfits and other social media platforms with fake casualty report of own troops and equipment on the encounter with BHTs along Kimba - Sabon Gari - Damboa axis on 27April 2019. The fake report trending is the handiwork of sympathizers of the BHTs. We also call on the general public to support the fight against insurgency and terrorism by providing credible and timely information to security agencies for swift action.

This is odd, how is a man suspected to be BH sympathizer also a member of the Presidential committee? That's just insane. bidexiii: BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS DO NOT EARN MORE THAN THE NIGERIAN SOLDIER
The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to a publication on Sahara Reporters and other social media platforms, to a false claim credited to one Doctor Sidi Ali Mohammed, a member of the Presidential Committee on the North East Initiative. In it, he alleged that the criminal terrorist group members earn as much as $3,000 daily, as against the Nigerian soldier who is paid N1,000 only. This is not true, pure lie and highly irresponsible comment coming from a supposedly knowledgeable person of his calibre.
It is also criminal and preposterous to compare the gallant soldiers of our Armed Forces with the rag tag terrorists’ criminal gang. Indeed there is no such basis at all between the outlawed criminal terrorist who commits crime against humanity and our highly patriotic, courageous and brave soldiers whose sacrifice cannot be quantified.
Over time, we have been alerting the world that the menace of Boko Haram terrorism is being aided and abetted by sympathizers’ such as Doctor Sidi Ali Mohammed. He must have been associated with the terrorists’ group beyond what he may want the public to know for having the knowledge of how much a terrorist earns per day to commit atrocities against fellow Nigerians and other innocent people including women and children. His statement could be part of the deliberate attempt to demoralise the patriotic soldiers serving their fatherland so that the terrorists will take advantage of it. It is also a way of swaying the gullible youths to believe the lies of Boko Haram terrorists as being peddled by him.
Therefore, we are calling on all Nigerians to discountenance the statement credited to Doctor Sidi Ali Mohammed; while we take necessary steps to formally report him to the appropriate authorities to further substantiate these unfounded allegations. We would like to assure the public that the Nigerian Army would remain resolute and focused in the fight against terrorism and insurgency in our great nation and no amount of distraction or terrorists’ propaganda will dissuade it.

I get that, some have mentioned just fencing off stuff and leave it as is, which is the idea i said will be defeated. And to get to your point, all that is possible, but it takes a serious country to do all that, Nigeria isn't one, it will never happen, not in 20yrs. So we can forget about it. To do such, it takes discipline, manpower, resources and constant maintenance for decades to come, i don't see us doing any of that. And how many controlled access points will there be? We are talking about areas with extreme poverty, where most people don't have a means of transportation. Anyways, we shall see. jakeporeshenkoo: Technology now, sensors and cameras and good old fashion manpower, on nemesis thread you can see some nice gadgets India deploys to monitor its border with Pakistan.
As for trade I am not saying close off our borders and stop movement of people, I’m saying make sure the movement is monitored and channeled through official crossing points manned by immigration personnel. In summary I’m saying that we need to make it more difficult to smuggle arms into Nigeria, the reports about proliferation of small arms in the region is damning, by 2008 we had 8 million illegal small arms in west Africa alone and Nigeria accounted for like 80%! |

I think another difference is that in Nigeria, we are door to door with our neighbors,(In some communities that is) that is you see towns in both countries separated by a few feet of road, border fence won't work, our communities are too intertwined in so many junctions that building a fence all over our border will decimate trade btw these communities. For Algeria, though haven't seen their map in relation to their nearest neighbors, but I'm assuming they have deserts etc, it's different in our case where you can stick your neck out from your home on the Nigerian side and see into the living room of your neighbor living in Cameroon ( exaggeration ) . Which kind fence you want build there? Who is going to monitor these fences? Such barrier will be defeated. Human intelligence and economic revival/ employment is key, otherwise una go just dey play hide and seek with BH for another 20yrs. As for Kabe1, why the insults, that was uncalled for |

Naija on fire, this is what lack of employment opportunities does to a country, add to that the lack of adequate police presence all over the country, in terms of community patrols and intelligence gathering by the police, What you get would be chaos on your hands. Just sad |

Medically discharged from his unit or military? No need to answer that lol. Point is, not every person in military uniform goes to war or deployed, there are many other duties he can be assigned to, without leaving the military. claremont: Sadly, no military will allow him deploy with this. He will be confined to camp duties whilst the rest of the unit is deployed, that is if he doesn't eventually get medically discharged. He will be a liability to his colleagues when it's time to run and/or jump over obstacles. |

What is a charmer lol, i was thinking guys with black magic or whatever. Anyways, doesn't it make sense to ban the idea of people bringing jerry cans to buy gas? That way if you didn't come with a vehicle, then no gas for you. I mean it will be more tedious for the bandits having to make frequent trips with cars and then siphoning off the gas over and over. Or better yet just train/hire more officers and institute community patrols all over the country, it's the one big reason for insecurity. Out here right now, police are always present around playgrounds all over New York City, because that's where drug deals go down etc, public housings as well, they have mobile trailers there with cameras to monitor the areas, this helps. bidexiii: Zamfara To Recruit 1,700 Local Charmers To Fight Insecurity

No one is trying to silence anybody, I've talked about what he's talking about, most of the frequent contributors here have, na today you dey hear say corruption dey for Nigeria? Or the military. please. Tell us something we don't already know. Stressing it over and over on here won't change what's going on over there, would it? Nope. That's not how you make a change. You can start by organizing protests, contacting your elected representatives, heck even filing a lawsuit lol, but then again, in Nigeria, that would be a waste of time. So carry on chief |

Their might lies in their airforce. Well there you go, and whether or not they can sustain a drawn out war wasn't the subject, the dude was talking about Algeria attacking Israel, that won't happen, simple as that. Whyem15: Israel cannot afford to fight a long sustained war against well trained and well equipped enemies, the last few battles they fought have seen them losing more soldiers and weapons. A well layered air defense systems will make sure you don't lose any battle against Israel. Their might lies in their Air Force. |

Like you said, psychological . Right there those soldiers know full well they aren't in any danger of being killed, unless some A-hole made a mistake and hit by mistake, in other words they have nothing to be afraid of at that moment. Now compare that to when being fired upon by the enemy, to actually kill you, it's a whole different experience, and most men will be scared about that. Regardless of training. So that's no different from standing next to a guy in a gun range and firing your weapon, the only training in that video is the fact that they get to learn how to crawl faster GeneralFarouq: Wow, that training will have a lot of imalct on the psychological preparedness of the soldiers... They would not be very scared when been shot at, on a battlefield |
