Good news! Can't wait for the party to get registered. However, some people have started getting jittery as usual.
PoliticsRe: CPC's Fashakin Replies Reuben Abati by skyfall:
The Jonathan administration is one hell of a bull in a China shop, a total embarrassment to Nigerians. Blundering left right & center, like aborigines brought from the forest to work in a modern office. Their blind supporters are even worse, defending the indefensible everyday. To think they want 4 more yrs after this mess is nothing but depressing.
PoliticsRe: CPC's Fashakin Replies Reuben Abati by skyfall: 7:16pm On May 29, 2013
Abati is completely finished. Imagine the kind of gutter language he used to defend a president. Did he think he was defending an Oshodi drivers' union chairman?

Well, not totally surprising considering that he's defending a gutter presidency. I guess they've threatened to fire him if he doesn't start using uncouth language like Doyin Okugbe, sorry Okupe.

PoliticsRe: Bingeing Caused Furious President Jonathan To Miss Speech Slot At AU Summit. by skyfall: 11:18pm On May 26, 2013
I'm not in the least surprised. We do not have a president, just a confused drunk who uses his brief sober periods to plot towards 2015 and how to defeat his phantom enemies such as Amaechi. Nigeria is in deep poo.
PoliticsRe: God Helped Me To Defeat Amaechi - Jang by skyfall: 11:12pm On May 26, 2013
This guy doesn't only look like a bush-baby, he actually has the brain of a rat. Imagine the utterances of a GOVERNOR! No wonder Plateau State is in a total state of collapse.

Men i like this guy, he speaks like Fashola. They both remind me of great world leaders. Thanks to Tinubu for discovering these intelligent guys for us in the SW. Other states may keep selecting nonentities and misfits as leaders. It's their frigging business.
PoliticsRe: Document Of Governors Backing Jang As NGF Chairman by skyfall: 10:09pm On May 25, 2013
This document shows that PDP is nothing but a fraud. Why sign this fraudulent document when an election was still going to hold?

PoliticsSubsidy Thieves Own Most Private-Jets – Falana by skyfall(op): 10:03pm On May 19, 2013
A human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana, has said oil subsidy fund thieves own most of the 150 private jets in Nigeria.

He also said corruption had been encouraged by the ill-advice Nigeria had taken from the International Monetary Fund.

“I hope the Jonathan regime will have the courage to ask the IMF to name one country that has succeeded after implementing its anti-people’s prescriptions. There is no success story anywhere in the world,” Falana stated.

While reacting to IMF’s recent call for the removal of fuel subsidy in an electronic mail to our correspondent, Falana said the organisation had ill-advised the Nigerian government not to build refineries.

IMF had urged the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan to remove subsidy completely to ensure fiscal adjustment.

Senior Resident Representative/Mission Chief of IMF in the country, Mr. Williams Rogers, recently insisted that the removal became necessary for planned savings in recurrent spending. He stated that Nigeria required public sector reforms.

Rogers also recommended that the Federal Government should mobilise non-oil revenues and strengthen oil-price rule and oil savings mechanism, while pushing for the maintenance of a tight monetary policy.

Falana, however, said, “Let the IMF be honest to tell Nigerians the cost of producing a litre of oil. You will be shocked. The IMF advised the government not to build new refineries, as part of the package of fraud to destroy the economy, even when it knew that the country needed to generate huge revenue from the sale of petrol refined locally.

“As the government needed to import fuel to augment local consumption, it enriched its cronies who engaged in fraudulent importation of fuel through fake mother and daughter vessels. Most of the 150 private jets in the country today are owned by fraudulent fuel importers.

“Last year, the IMF and its local lackeys claimed that the economy would collapse if petrol was not sold at N141 per litre. But with massive strikes and protests, the price was reduced to N97. Did the economy collapse? These are voodoo economists.”

Falana said IMF should have probed the foreign accounts where stolen funds are kept, including about $7bn made by oil thieves from the illegal business of selling stolen crude oil on the high seas.

He further alleged that the Federal Government had refused to reconstitute the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency “in order to sustain the fraud.”

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria accused successive presidents from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party of being responsible for the irregularities in the petroleum sector. He queried the basis for the establishment of Subsidy Re-investment and Empowerment Programme.

He said while the highest lending interest rate in the West was between three and five per cent, the IMF had allegedly insisted that it should be over 20 per cent in Africa. He added that the IMF and the World Bank allegedly conspired to impose the Structural Adjustment Programme on the economies of African countries in the 1980s.

I believe you mistakingly quoted my post while replying someone else. Your response obviously has nothing to do with my statements, except you completely lack reading and comprehension skills, but plenty of insulting ones.
PoliticsRe: ACN Commits Political Suicide by skyfall: 6:42pm On May 16, 2013
ACN has commented on a very sensitive topic considering the present mood of most Nigerians. But sadly, they'll most likely be vindicated in a few months, if we consider the trends we've all seen so far.

The BH war is not going to be won by might (alone). Govt needs to cut their supply of funds, weapons & logistics. By now I expect FG to have begged US for assistance with drone aircrafts to shoot these terrorists from up above. Our borders are EXTREMELY porous and I don't hear the govt saying/doing anything extraordinary about that. I expect troops to have been massively deployed to every border crossing. As we speak, BH is ferrying weapons and logistics across the border.

Most Nigerians are applauding the SoE because they're fed up with the BH issue and would welcome any action from the govt, but only critical thinkers can see beyond these emotions and realize that the SoE will most likely not solve the problem. Rather than ACN, it's Jonathan govt that I accuse of playing politics because they're the ones in power and responsible for our security. Rather than facing BH squarely, he's busy fighting Amaechi & other phantom enemies.

However, I wish the govt good luck. I believe we all want the same results at the end of the day as far as BH is concerned.

Afam4eva: Why do these southern leaders behave like slaves to the northers. Everytime it's one unknown northern governor with a southern deputy that is more popular and has achieved more than him.
They're just following PDP's zoning agreement. Maybe it's not dead afterall. Perhaps Jonathan is dropping his 2015 ambition afterall. Interesting times!

in case u don't know, this is a political strategy to win the votes of majority xtians in the state..
If ur religion permits you to marry four wives, for variety sake,y not get an infidel among them not that the governors really love them and in most cases, the are closet muslims.
Those wives don't know that the are pawns being used to play games..smh for them.
You're very very on your own. Your argument is not only wrong, but completely baseless. We Yoruba are more advanced than this crude way of thinking.

LOL @Okrika religion.

Religion is virtually nonexistent in Lagos politics. I think these troublemakers should concern themselves with the politics of their state.

alexchiny: The more reason GEJ has got to win the 2015 election. We need Nigeria to break up abeg, we are tired of this hellhole.
It's funny the confidence with which some southerners want the country to break up. So who are the leaders that will lead your brand new country? M0rons like Jonathan or criminals like Ibori, Iduaghan, Alamieyesigha, Akpabio etc? How would you then be different from what you are now?
PoliticsRe: "Those Who Shout Corruption, Corruption Are Really The Most Corrupt"- Jonathan by skyfall:
This Jonathan gives the word "idi0t" a whole new meaning. While he was in Rwanda, a journalist asked him

Q: Sir, with the various news of violence coming out of Nigeria of late, can you say Nigeria is safe for foreign investors?

A: (not verbatim) Nigeria is safe. Those who say it is not safe don't know what they're saying. Even last week, Bill Gates, the richest man in the world was in Nigeria. He walked on the street of Nigeria. If Bill Gates could come to Nigeria, how then can you say Nigeria is not safe?

Whenever Jonathan opens his mouth, it just shows you how empty his brain is.

PoliticsRe: Nigerians React To Aregbesola Phone Theft Judgment by skyfall: 3:52pm On May 05, 2013
Most of the people posting on this thread are functional illiterates. The guy was not convicted on the phone theft per se. Rather, what he did with the info on the phone.

It's like stealing a gun and then murdering someone with it. Obviously, the murder charge will attract a much longer sentence than the gun theft. Moreover, the sentence is not 45yrs; it's effectively 10yrs. Nigerian journalists like to amplify the news so as to sell their papers and attract web traffic.

If you guys really want corrupt politicians to get longer sentences, it's in the power of the govt to radically change our outdated criminal codes. Obviously, PDP (which holds the Executive, Senate & House of Reps) does not have any interest doing that because they are the greatest beneficiaries of our corrupt system and weak laws.

So stop voting for PDP, vote serious-minded leaders who will serve you as promised. Or keep quiet. A country is not changed by just ranting on Nairaland.

PoliticsRe: So Jonathan Is Afraid Of Rotimi Ameachi? by skyfall: 10:53pm On Apr 28, 2013
Not just Amaechi, he's afraid of anything that'll stand in his way towards 2015. That's why he's always abusing presidential powers against his phantom enemies.

That Jonathan is a very crude & treacherous local man who doesn't understand how modern societies operate. If he can buy you, he buys you otherwise he unleashes the powers of the fed govt at you. Watch it though; people like these usually end up being disgraced.
PoliticsRe: Bill Seeking To Unban Use Of Tinted-Glass Pass Second Reading In Senate. by skyfall: 5:01pm On Apr 27, 2013
Many thanks to the senators for coming in where the P IG (Police Inspector-General has simply decided not to use his common sense. There is no basis to ban rear tinted windows on cars. These are factory fitted and designed to protect from ultraviolet rays of the sun, provide some degree of privacy in cars and (according to what I read somewhere recently) shatter less than non-tinted glass in the event of a crash.

The most important thing is that these windows are usually semi-transparent and a person standing next to the car can actually see its occupants through them. Armed robbers and BH do not need tinted windows to operate.
PoliticsRe: President Jonathan Grounded Jet Carrying Tambuwal And Amaechi by skyfall: 10:18am On Apr 27, 2013
This Jonathan is really crude and shameless. And that's the trend I've seen in him and his Bayelsa compatriots over time. He, Alamieyeseigha, Allison-Maduekwe, Dickson and different shades of bandits called repentant militants. They all seem to lack any moral compass or self-reprobation. They behave like aborigines, or wild animals that do anything necessary just to survive in the forest.

Well, Amaechi now knows his enemy. If he and Tambuwwal really mean well for Nigeria, they should join the APC and team up with progressives there.
