End of discussion. Not everyone rich as your dad or sponsor & can pay off these things. Shift pls Peave82: I can’t tell you the struggle because i never really struggled and my only down point is the aweful weather and being far away from family. I detailed my path way from how i started till now. As a student my tuition/accommodation was fully paid for and i had a weekend job for extra money and to look good on my CV. So whether “you don hear or you no here iv contributed my truth to the thread”. |

Thanks for this highlight The bolded will be the downfall of many hosey: My honey.
Not automatic. You will still need to apply for the post study visa. Students who work more than 20 hours term time wont be qualified. Also, students will need to pass and successfully graduate. Some students will fail.
Notwithstanding, if you begin your MSc in September 2020, you will be eligible for Post study Work visa.
Also current undergraduate and postgraduate students who will graduate in the summer of 2021 are eligible. |

From saying I made wrong claims to blaming fraud. Abeg just dey your dey TheManOfTheYear: So what if it is 81% refusal, it's because Nigerians choose to be fraudulent during these applications.
It still doesn't change the fact that more than 7k Nigerians went to Canada for studies, it could have been more if only they were not trying to take short cut |

Mind your business TheManOfTheYear: The main purpose of this thread was for people abroad to share how they got their permanent residence/citizenship, however, what I'm mostly reading here is a QnA session of how to immigrate, blah blah blah.

People that can afford this don’t need even need the citizenship or passport. Wetin concern dangote with citizenship? Somethings get level o, it’s only appealing to us because we have not gotten to that standard yet. Someone like adenuga in his banana island paradise no need passport. He just gets 10 years visa , buy yacht & stay abroad till his satisfied. Come back to Nigeria where everyone dey call am “sir” & keep making billions hodari: There are some Caribbean countries that offer citizenship to investors. These countries are very popular with those looking for a second passport which can offer them visa free travel to over 100 – 140 countries world wide, including access to the EU Schengen zone and the UK. You must invest US$100,000 to be eligible.

10 years ago things were different. I’m talking about now. To even stay 10 years in U.K. now after studying is war. So many obstacles Easiest now is marriage. Peave82: Actually that’s not true. Yes you can get by marrying a British citizenship but there are other routes too. I got my percent residency after 10years and i didn’t marry anyone to do it. They just need you to be truthful and submit the correct documentation that’s all. |

You’re lucky that you left early & you were focused to get citizenship. You got job too which helped with your ILR. Now things are tough unless you’re in the health field.. Peave82: I would advise everyone considering residency to face Canada or Australia as most other countries aren’t as straight forward.
I came for my masters in 2011 on a student visa.
Then it expired in 2011 so i applied for two years post study visa which allows you to work full time.
To get my British citizenship,I went through the Iltr(Indefinite leave to remain)5year route That means you need to have spent at least 5years in the United Kingdom minus student visa and postgraduate study visa.
I applied with form An and submitted; -My Nigerian passport so they could check travel history. -My Brp card. -My life in the uk test. -My uk Masters certificate. -Letter from employer and p69 slips for the last 5years -Paid £1400 for application and Biometrics.
(Came in 2010 and got British citizenship in 2020 so took me 10years). |

Eya you’re leaving? So since you’re there you have not been able to get job with the APS visa? Kai nawa o. What of part time job? Are you currently working? And why did you choose hongkong? Anything there? electromagnito: okay for those going to Dijon for Msc that is University of Bourgogne its not a bad city although very isolated compare to Ile de francem Lyon, Lillem marseille and even bordeaux, my advice for you is that if you are coming to france and hoping you will get a life after study, you are wrong.. even if you speak french, most employer will still want you to speak french like you were born there except you want to use your certificate to do cleaning job. Presently France is not issuing any visa due to the corona virus pandemic and all university are closed as well till september but some plan to give distance exam to student, since france is not like UK that depend on international student fee to boost their economy due to their low tuition fee, most schools might end up not admitting new student this year, i hope i am wrong or some necessary requirement will be asked before coming in, like COVID 19 test certificate. For the person complaining that UB fee is too cheap for 243euros, that was the standard fee for all university in france not untill 2018/2019 academic session when they change it to 3999euros which is 4000euros, so some school retain the old fee to attract student while others change to new fee because they know they will always get student to come, so dont be deceived, you will get visa for 243euro fee, Although Bourgogne and Bordeaux are enemy because both of them always fight for who produces the best wine in france lol, its bordeaux though... Visa application are mostly by summer which is first week of July, so you still have time, since france plan for high school student to resume by May 11th and monitor the situation till June 11th to consider opening foreign border(EU border will be open on may 11th). I am presently in Dijon although i did my masters at Universite de Cergy Pontoise Ile de France(Paris region), I wish i could be around to help out daneilla but i will be leaving france for my PhD at Hongkong in August, Wish you the best |

Please you don’t get me don’t worry salford1: This is not peculiar to the UK alone. British Columbia, Canada has a similar system in place. $75 per month for international students.
In addition, International fees are high in almost all developed countries except you get a scholarship. |

Matter closed salford1: Lol. There are lots I know of though. Maybe 2 in every 10 people. Infact the UK seems to be the only country in the world right now that makes it very easy for healthcare workers to practice. It's so easy that you can even get hired on from Naija. Soni would say it highly depends on the Industry or career path you find yourself in. |
