1 Mistake everyone makes is this and i can only relate to this using my own skills which is IT Most companies require experience right. Here in UK, they dont expect you to do this for free.If you fix your friends's pc.It part of your experience. If you resolve issues for people. It part of your expperience. You put that in your voluntary experience.and also did some voluntary jobs to get some IT experience.People laughed at me then doing voluntary job but its the experience and exponsure that counts. I would suggest that if you got any idea of resolving some particular things and you know it very well, put it in your CV.Thats would surely set you apart from others.in interviews, they ask, so what have you been doing after you graduated? putting that in your CV would help and government would stop complain that Nigerian graduates are half baked. Well i am only speaking about this in IT cuz that all i know.would be different in various field but its the idea that is needed.I dont think Foreign graduate are better that Nigerian graduate. It the packaging and reources available that matters which in Nigeria, not a lot of resources |
@ Mr-Keys Lol.You still not close. |
Sagamite:They dont have to work part time while studying to get certifications. I did my ccna and cwna in Nigeria within 6 months because i stayed at home and my parents were supporting me Here in the uk.I did just one more certfication and i have to do part time jobs cuz i have to pay rent and survive during those time. You know the exchange rate is ridiculous for me to be asking for money from my folks Thats just my own point of view because with the resources i have now,i can develop myself better.Well i got the job i wanted now but its not about being a graduate. To me the certificate is just a piece of paper to secure interview. It about learning and i know how Nigerians work hard back home. Most of my friends here who got jobs never stopped learning and that how we got jobs. If Nigerias do that.i feel they can be better. Even some companies here are amazed about Nigerians, the way we work and do things and resolve issues here. |
Are ya takin' the piss again, mate? I lived in Edgeworth Crescent NW4 for a bit. On and off you see. On the other hand, look at your Hood. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzA6Ww2Qfds
Shows you not been reading my post only. just jumped on.I dont stay in London.I never enjoyed staying in london because its over populated and too much traffic. I stay outside london. Easy for everyone to use london as a reference. This post was about reasons why women liked guys abroad but you took it personal insulting people abroad. Shows how naive you are. You watch london riot and use your friends's life to conclude about everyone. Its like everyone outside Nigeria concluding that all Nigerians are scammers. It dont work that way |
lol excuse my English. My keyboard types thought for taught |
AjanleKoko:You very correct. I think that is just the edge foreign graduate have over Nigerian graduate but Nigerian graduates can also be better if they do a lot of research. i can only use myself as an example( Studied in IT). Did my Bsc in Nigeria and then Masters in UK. The difference there personally is research. You are able to make research and find more recent technologies used and can practice with them. In my case, the univeristy in UK i met too did not guarantee me my job because for example. Most companies are into microsoft products(server, exchange sharepoint) but i was never though all that but security and some other calculations but i was able to understand what most companies what and i was able to get the resouces and practice with it and that helped me in securing a job. Some people are lucky who work for some companies who develop softwares so they would have to train you and that just requires basic knowledge. I think Nigerian Graduates can step up better than foreign graduates if they understand their environment and learn the trades. At least that what i did.I would not say my Masters degree helped me.Well it did in a way because i was thought a new way to research and that helped me.Not what i was thought uin class. |
Don't take the Mickey with me mate. You know how it is, now. It's not only Europe, it's the same in America; F train to Kew Gardens, E train to Manhattan, jump into a Metro bus to the other side of town, wash dishes in Ethiopian restaurant, another bus to Coney Island where you dress up in a ridiculous costume to be a "clown" for little brats who kick you about, then some "gig" in the evening at some care givers home (CNA), and weekends DJeying at "African" parties at some African nightclub in Brooklyn, then back to the E train, F train, back to the tiny apartment in Jamaica that you share with three other mofos that you cannot even stand-----and those are the lucky ones, with papers. I seriously don't know how undocumented immigrants survive. There's much more to life. PEACE
Haha. Dont worry.Reading from the slangs you use which i find peculiar with some here and the type of life you know,I am not going to bother replying you.You just showed me the type of people you roll with. |
Yeah mate, There's much much more to life than that morning commute from Peckham Rye to work three back-breaking jobs just to survive. Much, much more in the world. Believe Dat.
Who told you i stay in peckham and who told you i dont have a professional job? it easy for you guys to generalize cuz ur friends do stuffs like that |
Dont really understand people here. The question was why the women prefer the guy outside Nigeria. The answer should be based on what the ladies see in the guys. Not a whole lot of hatred on the guys. saying Naija abroad in uk are hungry cuz of the riot you saw on TV. a lot of people who robbed were uneducated people and people on benefit . They are like area boys. And for people who come here and generalize is really funny. just because you know people who did not make it does not mean every Nigerian is not making it here. People got good jobs here and live their life here. People need to stop this way of thinking. Its the same way people just look at Nigeria and say we all scammers The post here is so funny and i wonder if people actually think outside the box |
Naah, just putting dem lot well in their proper place. Don't think the world revolves around you just cause you've "travelled", aiight? It's nuttin special, its 2011, guys,
putting them in proper place? Na Wa ooo. |
So much hate for guys outside Nigeria |
kemisuga:Do people actually still think this way? just generalise things. |
Scash:seriously. do Nigerian women consider that? |
islamrules:I know but this life is all about progression. Everyone who has a job here i know never stopped learning . People think after Masters that is the end. Right now i am reading at work also. It what i learnt after school (research and certifications) that gave me the job. For instance which university refering to IT.which university teaches you active directory and exchange? Portsmouth never thought me but that what i work with because i developed myself. Why i wrote here was not about job but people who think Nigerians are all cleaners gatemen secuity guards( even though, they still make money). which job is Nigeria providing. I still read about a guy on NL post still complaining that 5 years he still stays in his parents house. At least here you got something to do. Besides i went to london recently for a presentation and at the underground station.see boys in suit going to work. and yet they say we all gatemen and cleaner |
islamrules:I graduated from portsmouth too and i got my IT job now. Took me 7 months before i got it. during those 8 months.i was doing part time job and i was doing exams and certification to build myself up and at the end.i got it.infact i got 3 jobs at the same time but had to settle for the best one. i got friends who got job a month after graduation while it took others time to get a job. The fact is,job issue here is better then Nigeria, I stayed in Nigeria for a whole year and only got 2 interviews but here before i got my final job,i have been to over 15 interviews.Fine they do prefer to pick thier people cuz of visa issue but thats where you got to prove you are better than thier people. It is obvious that they would pick thier people if you all are on the same level. When i was getting rejected,i did not moan.i got better. So when people claim they dont employ them, ask them what have they done to make them employable. No company wants to employ you, train you and then you got back after two years. You got to train yourself |
sorry about that sekillz. was a mistake. i have rectified it |
UK is racist and so is America however you will find service jobs faster than you would corporate jobs unless you are owning a business. A friend of mine in UK said he works for the same company more than 10 years and white guys coming in getting promotions after six months. I told him what do you expect in a racist arse country?
ask your friend what he has done to develop himself to get promotion. its funny how you guys still generalise this just because your friend was unlucky |
i can see people's views about Naijas in Uk. The question here is this 1) do u think its all Nigerians that dont have good job here 2)For the ones doing menial jobs.It is better than being unemployed as the situation is. There are some people who do menial jobs and get paid well also 3) How come most people here only know broke ass Naijas? The way people generalize and profile people is just funny. Just because a stupid girl fancies people abroad does not mean u should be hating on everybody abroad |
Chintua:you think Norway is a poor country? |
Gpowered79:Then u come up with stories during your visa scam that there is a problem in between and you will need to bribe someone or something funny, You guys are hilarious. ![]() |
@ mobo444 Mayb u need to watch jermey kyle show and see how white men cheat too rubbish talk the fact that u cant keep your eyes on one woman does not mean other black men follows your step |
impactmaka:He is just looking for attention. why not email sahara reporters yourself? ![]() |
i would if i can get a job that can pay my bills.I have just finished my degree and waiting for my work Visa and pending the time, i already have a part time job that pays all my bills. Coming back to Nigeria where unemployment is high at the moment is really what scares me. at least while i am looking for my permanent job,i can survive on my own without any body's support. . |
i really hate it when men do stuffs like this and brag about it. that's all most black men think about. Bleep and dick. get a life bro. |
No one is stopping you. hope you find a man who is ready for that.lol |
Sprumbaba:dumb question. when will u people live ur tribal ways and learn to live as one |
Nigerian govt are nothing but stupid fools and bastards. Al these shit countries embarrass ,abuse and deport our people without cause. why? because they know the dumb bastards call Nigerian government would not do anything. |
