That is the best governor in.Nigeria. Always sincere and no bull shitting. Adesina is admired by APC and they are not afraid to say it. He has boosted Nigerias agriculture sector.
The extent of hypocrisy exercised by you guys is mind bigging. So now it's Adesina has boosted agriculture in Nigeria not GEJ? smh. You guys are terrible pretensious mofuckas

Guy your stand is the proverbial case of the man chasing a rat while his house is on fire. Some things are more important than the others. Suit yourself abeg.

mrmetoo1:
Kai!! Just because you don't like the fact I'm saying it'll affect the economy negatively doesn't me I disagree with you. Please read what I wrote there again and see if I disagreed with you anywhere. The simple fact is it has the potential of having a negative effect, like it or not. Nowhere have I written that they did bad nor good by postponing. Look people don't just make plans in one day, a lot of these things we're talking about have been in motion for months and you have put your mind and resources to it that you'll come to a conclusion at a certain time. Forget election, if that date that you had planned for gets shifted for whatever reason it has the potential to have a negative effect on your business. I'm not going to disagree with the point being made by the OP just because a couple of people don't want to admit the there'll be some negative effect because of the postponement.

Now if I said the negative effect of the postponement because of the economy outweighs the positive then you have a right to come at me the way you did but at the point I haven't disagreed with you in any way.
PoliticsRe: Atiku Abubakar Reacts To Election Postponement & Its Effect On Our Economy (Pic) by sleemfesh: 4:51pm On Feb 10, 2015
That's exactly my point. You are crying about the economy at the expense of the lives we could save by putting security measures in place. You can't run away from it. While crying economy economy, you refuse to see and even after I put it on you, that lives will be at risk if this is not done so stop beating about the bush. Life first whenever we can.

mrmetoo1:
So the topic of this thread is that the postponement will affect the economy, all I did was share how it affects my "economy". I was using my example to show how its going to affect the economy as a whole because I can imagine that there are countless other folks in a similar situation including you. Nowhere did I mention risking the lives of the officials. Again going with the topic, does it have the potential to have a negative impact on the economy? answer is YES, regardless of whether the postponement was done with good or bad intentions.
PoliticsRe: Atiku Abubakar Reacts To Election Postponement & Its Effect On Our Economy (Pic) by sleemfesh: 3:07pm On Feb 10, 2015
So do we because we need to get investors in faster compromise the election and put the country at risk?
Do we no care about the 700k+ election officials that should be taken care of. It is personal cos I have someone among them.

mrmetoo1:
Even on a personal level, I've had two potential investors tell me that we should wait till after elections to continue talking. This was last week, so I was already getting excited because I thought this will be over next week and we'll at least be able to proceed positive or negative. Now I have to wait another six weeks unless they say otherwise. On my side gig, we've been helping one of these popular record companies build a platform for a talent show, it was supposed to kick off in January but they decided against it because they thought everyone's attention right now is on the election so they decided to move it to March now election has been postponed to that March. A couple of friends too I've spoken to are confused about some deals they've put off till after election whether to go ahead and try to quickly do stuff before election or wait for another six weeks.

Again this is personal, so I can imagine whats going on a way larger scale, its definitely going to affect the economy. Actually one of the "big men" I'm talking to actually said the reason he's telling to wait till after election is because a deal he too is working on is being frustrated by people asking him to donate money for campaign so he's trying to stall till after election to go ahead. Now we all have six more weeks

Why are most people getting it wrong here?

They didn't say they will crush Boko Haram in 6 weeks. We say Okupe is indomie brained but guys here do no better. They said there's a new dimension to it now. Do we not see it?for the first time troops have been committed by neighbouring countries in the MNJTF scheme and there are baa cruelly foreign boots I. The country fighting side by side and the others on the borders in the other countries waiting for escapees trying to flee into the neighbouring countries. Given this we understand they want to bring back a little sanity to help conduct elections in more places in the affected area and also be free enough to offer help with the rest of the country in terms of securing the over 700k election officials and the materials. Do we not care about life in this country? Must everything be about PDP or APC? Can't we stand together in matter so life and death and refuse to have these politicians dictate our life? Chai. Nigeria.

Educational ServicesChecking Result Online For Schools. Service Provider Netbr@us SIMS by sleemfesh(op):
An indigenous outfit based in Lagos has developed a school information management system. Among the features are the creation of an online portal linked to a school website (which they can provide if the school lacks one), automatic input and collation of results as well as a powerful search tool able to search EVERY FIELD in the database.

There is a good ROI on the system that will pay off for its own cost and eventually make some returns for he institution via scratch card sales. What more, efficiency is greatly enhanced and the school in question can now boast of a world class service.

Interested partners who can source for clients are welcome. Nice biz relations and commission.

Demo available on request.

ARM Life is a new addition to the ARM group and offers opportunity to Nigerian graduates to build a career path in Financial Service Advisory roles.
Qualifications:
1. Min HND or Bsc
2. Must be fluent in English Language
3. NYSC or Exemption Certificate
We are recruiting for our Lagos offices so ideal for Lagos residents. Please call 08125654610 or send your CV ONLY to adebukola.ademuyiwa@armlife.com.ng Pls note that only serious minded people should forward their CVs.
I got an invite for an interview for this Sunday after I'd written the online test.
The question is: Are they hiring for any other places but marketing execs? I'm sure I didn't apply and then I am 100% IT. If the mail that came to me initially saying ARM is interested in my CV is anything to go buy, I don't believe anyone who went thru it would be inviting me for a marketing exec opening. Been IT for almost 10 years. Advise.
Car TalkRe: Lagos Restricts Danfo Drivers To 8-Hrs Of Work by sleemfesh: 3:02am On Nov 12, 2013
Toksytoks: What is d reality of the poor man on the street? Because we live in a country where things dont work doesnt mean people like fashola and opeifa shouldnt try to introduce sane laws. In America drivers are not allowed to drive 5 hrs at a stretch without taking a break, some states dont even allow more than 70hrs a week. These are people who value lives and know that driver fatigue can lead to accidents. Drive through ibadan - ogbomosho road half of the trailer and truck accidents are due to driver fatigue..its high time we reasoned like humans and not babarians.
Restrict okada on highways --poor man excuse
Ban on cart pushers --- poor man excuse
Street trading on kerbs --- poor man excuse
Ban on unpainted cabs and buses --poor man excuse
Makoko residents extensively colonizing the lagoon with unapproved structures---poor man excuse
Illegal abbaroirs selling unhealthy meat---poor man excuse.
Are there no poor men in cotonou, cote d'ivoire and Ghana? Why is their country saner than ours?
Some people believe that for the 'poor man' to survive the society has to be lawless..
Google ' driving time' and read up researches before bringing up your 'poor man' excuse. Will you rather board a cheap bus with 80% chance of you ending up in d lagoon due to driver fatigue.
Some companies and banks force workers to work for up to 13hrs per day, absolutely babaric.
This is the mentality making Nigeria not progress. Some things come first. You don't take the latter part of the development of a city from a developed world without putting in place the things they did to sustain it.

If people live on the ocean probably cos they can't afford a rent and you drive them away without first creating a system to absorb them, it is total waste of time n resource. They will creep back up and/or relocate to another similar area. That's life. No vacuum.

Let Lagos focus on the rail n road network and these issues will sort themselves out. This is another elevation of the ubiquitous road touts. Touts that the first ever traffic law should a outlawed.

Don't tell me about America or Europe. This is Lagos. We havent put in place what they have had to on order let those rules apply.
Car TalkRe: Lagos Restricts Danfo Drivers To 8-Hrs Of Work by sleemfesh: 2:50am On Nov 12, 2013
That's complete crap. Lagos has shown a penchant for putting the cart before the horse. Its not advancement. It is being callous to the working class who are the power of any city state. Do n finish the rails first and maintain the roads and this situation will sort itself as less buses will ply the roads.

This is just another phase in the glorification of touts in this city which Lagos seems so comfortable with. It stiffles growth and I'll disposes folks to civility. We don't need such laws. First things first. The secondary ones will fall in line.

I dunno why these buffons can't think that at all. Do they prefer their spouse in a psych ward as against their home when they can afford the expense? I tire for people o.
PoliticsRe: Clara Chime Tells NHRC To Withdraw Report | Sahara Reporters by sleemfesh: 8:15am On Nov 10, 2013
egift: NO. Some people for pride and what they are benefiting from their in law are ready to force their sister to keep silent in bondage.

@strangest: Why can't you support the growing call to have Mrs Clara Chime get a good medical treatment for whatever health issues she may be having - Instead of locking her up in the Government House?
What's wrong with you people? Who says she is not receiving good treatment? Do you want her in a psychiatric ward or privately taken care of? If its your wife or husband which will you prefer?

Until Falana or whoever establishes that she is in the wrong hands there, all this is uninformed and thrash. So now Chime has bribed the human rights commission? Nice job!

Make we use thinking some times abegi.

freecocoa: Aren't to suppose to make me understand? I was only trying to tell you, you made no sense.
OK. Sorry for the sarcasm.
I'm not saying that custody by Chime is because he is a lawyer. It is because he is the legal guardian, the husband. If She was in no state to make a decision for herself and needs something done, it is not Falana or any lawyer that will be sought first. It is the husband whether a governor or lawyer or not. Unless Falana shows that he has done the right namely, trying to work or reason with the husband, then he is totally OUT OF LINE. Thats the truth, the logical and the correct thing to do. He must show that Chime has refused to take a proper action.

Come to think of it, nobody even knows what she 'told' Falana if and when. This is a family. It doesn't mean there are no rights of the human or that the husband can set limits to it but that the husband has the first and most important say.

And I ask again: what motive or interest does Chime have to keep his wife confined in the house for 4 months as alleged?

Locking someone up against their will is WRONG. But then you have to establish it first. If you don't take this diligence then our freedom is at stake. The same procedure that frees an innocent man must be applied in prosecuting the accused or u risk condemning the wrong person. Due diligence is it
PoliticsRe: Falana Was Fully Briefed By Clara Chime by sleemfesh: 11:26am On Nov 08, 2013
Texykool: It is a huge pity that we have a whole lot of people who do not know their rights.

Illegal house arrest is not a family affair. If anyone has bothered to read and digest the contents of Mr. Falana's letter, then I don't know why someone will call it a family affair, or call Mr. Falana a liar. If Mrs. Chime had called Olisa Agbakoba or Mike Ozekhome on this case, they would have done the same.

If the Mr. Chime thinks his wife is having a 'medical challenge', even if it is spiritual, he has no right to lock her up. The Government House is not a Detention Cell/Prison. Mr. Governor, please release this woman.
Dunno why some people can't keep tribalism and nepotism out of matters. In 2013!

Must you show the world how archaic you are? Solitary confinement is about the worst torture any one can go through where the person is sane or insame.[/quote]Do you have any proof of confinement or do you just want to show how modern you are? What motive would Chime to 'confine' his wife in the house? Like someone told you, it is someone's family and not politics. Even Falana must know that in the event that the wife has mental challenges that the one with the decision is Chime and for any reasonable headway, the beat thing for his 'client' is to work with the rightful person and not embarrass them in the national media. I'm begining to lower my respect quotient for Falana if indeed the woman contacted him and he didn't try to work with the husband first.
PoliticsRe: Falana Was Fully Briefed By Clara Chime by sleemfesh: 11:05am On Nov 08, 2013
omenka: Intrusion is when one gets involved uninvited. The lady solicited Falana's help hence his involvement. He's not volunteering.
Intrusion is when you are 'invited' (without proof) to rescue somebosy's wife who is a lawyer (and you are aware that custody in cases of mental challenges would fall on the husband) and you a lawyer doesn't first consult and/or possibly liaise with the rightful custodian and start running your mouth. This is someone's family for Pete's sake not politics or small talk.
