Israel is taking their vengeance on all Palestinians because none of them condemned what Hamas did. That means what Hamas did served their interest. And Israel is not listening to the Arab world( even those they have tie with) because none of them have spoken against the terror Hamas unleashed on innocent Israelis. I am not supporting any side but the international community need to objectively find a way to resolve this age-long conflict. |
This is not a religious war and people should stop relating this to God. The international community should find a lasting solution to this unending conflict. Both Hamas and Israel have erred in this conflict. The killing of innocent civilians by both parties have to stop. Hamas should release Israeli hostages. This will likely encourage Israel to create a ceasefire. I don't see Israel agreeing to a ceasefire for as long as Israelis are held hostage. Hamas miscalculated by thinking that taking hostages will prevent Israel from unleashing hell. The major challenge in this conflict is that Israel is not willing to negotiate with Hamas. Every reasonable person should be seeking for peace and not supporting any side in this conflict. For people blaming Israel, tell me which country in this world will not react aggressively if she is attacked brutally the way Hamas did. Israel is taking their response to a whole new level, they need to calm down and allow peace to reign. |
We have a very useless, insensitive, irresponsible and self-centred govt in this country. Imagine a senator, a man that has been in govt saying that Nigeria roads are not motorable. Who are we to blame for the roads not being motorable? And you want to use that as an excuse to squander more money when Nigerians are dying of hunger. Nigeria will remain in retrogression until we all rise up one day and say enough is enough. Most of our politicians are demons in human skin. |
nathyx:So you believe all the people complaining about this FG that has brought so much hardship on Nigerians including you are all obidients? It is the foolishness of blind supporters like you that has led Nigeria to this catastrophic state. |
Why is this country so useless and extravagant. Extravagance in the midst of suffering masses. What is office of the first lady? How many countries runs office of the first. Serious countries in the world like USA, UK, Germany and other European countries etc don't have time for such stupidity and wastage. It is only in God forsaken countries in Africa( despite our poverty and beggarly posturing) that you have such irrelevance and purposeless indulgence being practised. When are we going to be serious in this country. Tinubu is nothing more than a demented shadow chaser and hypocritical chameleon. |
BigIyanga:I don't know how long it will take Nigerians to accept the fact that prayers and fasting is not the solution to our political and economic problems. It pisses me off when people say we should pray instead of strategically finding solutions to our problems. Prayers have been said for Nigeria for donkey years but the more these prayers are said, the more downhill we have been going. I don't think there is any country in the world that prayer and fasting have developed. It is laziness and foolishness to think that these can "miraculously" transform Nigeria. I am a Christian but I don't believe in people using prayers and fasting as an excuse to delegate their duties and responsibilities to God. God has given us all we need to develop our country but our greed, corrupt nature, incompetence and lack of patriotism has been a bane to our development. |
Pakute:You need to understand the reason why you cannot stop talking about the dollar. If it were that easy, we would have stopped since. The dollar is more or less the "international currency". Whether you are buying raw materials or finished products, they are priced in dollars. For countries, e.g China that can source most of their raw materials and finished products locally, they don't care much about dollar exchange rate because they can do most of their business without dollar. But for a country like Nigeria where almost all the products we use/consume are sourced by importation, you cannot do without dollars because those products are bought in dollars. Just name it: refined crude oil, electronics, phones, fashion and textiles, books, pencils etc. Until Nigeria become more of a production economy rather than a consumption one, we are enslaved to dollar. This over reliance on foreign raw materials and products consequently increases demand for dollar. Simple Economics teaches that a high demand with corresponding low supply leads to high prices. |
Nigeria has become so hellish that people are now migrating to Iraq of all to seek greener pastures. Chai, our founding fathers will surely weep in their graves if they were to see what this country has become. What a sad story! |
I wonder what type of pastor Reno Omokri is. A pastor that hates, so petulant. His hatred for Peter Obi is driving him mad. He leaves Atiku that is the one directly trying to discredit Tinubu and keep pursuing, vilifying and hating on Peter Obi. I think it is high time people completely ignore whatever he says. End time pastor. |
Acesexcell:Hmm. Terms and conditions apply o. Look very well before you leap. You pay very significantly higher with instalmental payment. A car that goes for ₦3million on outright payment may cost as high as ₦4million with instalmental payment. |
MadamExcellency:I am jet to see any positive or sense in Tinubu's monetary policy. It is just madness. I am not an economist. Please economists should tell us the benefit of this devious policy of naira devaluation. I thought it will eliminate black market rate and ensure the exchange rate is uniform. But black market rate still exists and that is the actual exchange rate because that is where you can get dollar from. Tinubu just killed the naira in a swoop. At least Buhari in 8years, took the rate from ₦155/$ to ₦500/$ but BAT in 3months has taken it from ₦500/$ to ₦1000/$. Tinubu is a disaster. |
The truth is I don't even know anything about this Mohbad. Never heard about him until his death started trending. Irrespective of who he is, if he was murdered, the killers should be made to face the music. |
Nigeria is really heading in the path of doom under BAT. I just don't know how our currency has become so valueless like this. This is really terrible and alarming. ƁAT is busy gallivanting on foreign trips seeking for fairytale FDI while our local economy is dying. You are able to attract foreign investors when your economy is sound. Which investor is coming to invest in a dead economy? Politics has ruined Nigeria and yet our politicians in their devilish and selfish interest don't want to learn or repent. |
[quote author=Asswipemod post=124173235]Guy, that is what everyone deserves for stopping GEJ from removing subsidy way back. Nigeria has damaged beyond gradual step by step removal. Infact, any other form of removal different from what Tinubu has done is fraudulent. The time of treating a small cut with iodine has passed. Gangarene had set in too deeply, so the limb needs to be removed completely.[/quot My dear, I am not an economist. Please can you explain how these measures are going to "repair" Nigeria. All I see is increased, traumatizing hardship and poverty for Nigerians. Our money is more or less an ordinary paper now. |
Even if you must remove subsidies, a well meaning person will do it in phases. You can't just rush and remove fuel subsidy, education subsidy, float naira, hike electricity tariff within a few weeks in power without instituting any measure to cushion the effect of the biting hardship these places on Nigerians. Nobody should tell me about Student Loan because that is just a deceptive mirage; very unrealistic. Tinubu is removing subsidies so he can have enough money to embezzle to recover the huge amount of money he spent to buy the presidency. I do still believe that Tinubu is a crook and fraud and I don't believe he has good intentions for Nigeria. |
If Tinubu ever succeeds in doing this, only lucky Nigerians may be alive to witness it. Because majority of Nigerians would have been finished by poverty and hardship before then. Tinubu is saying all this gibberish to deceive us. I want him to clearly explain to us how he wants to achieve this. The measures he has taken so far which is making life harder and more unbearable, how will it translate to better life for Nigerians? We need a clear mathematical or realistic explanation of how this current harrowing hardship will transform to good living for Nigerians. |
DeLaRue:How can you come online and display your ignorance Like this? You completely lack understanding. I don't really know what to reply you. Pure ignoramus. |
If I had known and considered certain things, I wouldn't have married my wife. She is a very good wife but the only problem is that she is not resourceful. She lacks ambition and drive to be an achiever and improve her self value. I love academics a lot but my wife though a graduate, does not have passion for education and neither does she have drive for business. It is something I am really not happy about |
routed:Just be there speaking grammar and be deceiving yourself with your biased and fixated mindset. By the time you realize what Tinubu is doing to your destiny, you will come back here and confess your folly in believing that Tinubu is working for your good. Why is Tinubu increasing his salary by 114%? What measures has he put in place to cushion the effect of his stupid policies so far on Nigerians? |
Hahaha. I just dey laugh small small. Where are all the Agbadorians? Las Las , na all of us go suffer arm. Mark my words, Tinubu came to finish off whatever that is left of Nigeria. The drug baron has increased salary by 114% for himself and his fellow polithiefcians while making life hell on earth for the common man. Once again, I dey laugh small small |
It is only in Nigeria a terrorist like El rufai will be walking free, spewing rubbish all over the place. El rufai is behind all the atrocities that happened in Kaduna during his tenure. |
The fact that Emefiele stayed in office till now shows how empty-headed and incompetent Buhari is. Emefiele ruined the naira and our banking system. The guy has been a disaster. I don't like Tinubu but this is a very good move though he may have done it out of vindictiveness. Buhari and Emefiele was a very destructive combination for our economy. It is only God that will judge them for the havoc they wrecked on this country. |
Patriotsleague: |
Guy na wa for you o. You used #3900 to eat "garbage" just because you want to feel psychologically satisfied that you ate at Hilda's restaurant. That money can afford at least 3 good meals at a decent restaurant or fastfood. People can really waste money. Imagine buying soup without meat for #5000. |
I knew from Day 1 that this is a scam. There is no Nigerian Air. Not only are Buhari and APC crooks and unrepentant failures, they are also comedians. We will never forget Buhari as the man that unleashed Hell on us. Frankly speaking, Buhari was sent by the devil to torment us. Chai! This govt is a total failure. |
I was at the Accident and emergency department when they rushed him to the hospital. He was brought in dead. This country at the moment have no hope of getting better; we are just doomed. Evil politicians and their weapons( Thugs) have taken Nigeria captive and there is no hope of redemption. Any society that refuses to punish criminality is doomed. These things happens every election and yet not even one person has been prosecuted or brought to book. How then do you stop all these madness. And with someone like Tinubu as president, any trace of hope of redemption is entirely gone. Under Tinubu, Nigeria will become a nation of institutionalized corruption, pilfering and Thuggery. He might even create a Ministry of Thuggery with MC Oluomo as Minister. What inspiration do citizens derive from a President that completely lacks integrity ? My greatest regret in life is being a Nigerian, it is very unfortunate that I came from this lawless, disorganized country where the foolish lead the wise, where evil always triumph over good, where the trampled foolishly celebrate those trampling on them. I WEEP FOR THIS COUNTRY |
Sijo01:There are at times points of intersection between a railway track and roads. I have seen at least 2 in Porthatcourt( at Station road, Elelenwo and Boro park, Mile 1). Usually when a train is coming, alarm is raised to clear the track for the train to pass. Years ago, the husband of one woman that shared the same office complex with my elder brother died at the intersection close to Boro Park when a train rammed into his vehicle. There was a traffic jam, other drivers/passengers evacuated their vehicles but the man went back to his car because of the money he had in the car. |
heniford2:Then whose Airport is it? You can go and claim it for your state. Don't let bad belle kill you. |
There is no way Tinubu won Rivers State. This is just Gov. Wike's devilish work. Let's see how it goes when evidences of Wike's manipulations come to the fore. |
All these urchins on Nairaland. How does saying the audio is fake translate to supporting Atiku? Personally I refused to listen to the audio and I don't care whether it is real or fake. My duty is to cast my vote for OBI-DATTI tomorrow. And hopefully they shall win tomorrow. We need a new beginning in this country. We should be tired of the choking hold of APC and PDP on our common good. We can't allow this people to keep raping us. |
Buhari and Emefiele are champions of failure. Nothing good comes from them. Under them, naira redesign has brought hell on Nigerians. Our naira that they have reduced to almost ordinary paper in value is now no longer available. SHAME TO BUHARI, SHAME TO EMEFIELE, SHAME TO ALL ASSOCIATED WITH THIS GOVT, SHAME TO APC AND SHAME TO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT CONTRIBUTED IN BRINGING THIS INCOMPETENT AND CALLOUS GOVT TO POWER. |
