No. They should change our education system. Corruption has dealt with Nigerian education system so much that students don't have a voice and no amount of money fed.gov put into the system yield results. Fed.gov will give the universities money for research,for infrastructure,but vc's will connive with lecturers shared the money and drive big cars.
Let's be realistic here,and lets leave politics aside. Go to other countries you'll see nothing much is to education sector as to health sector,yet their education system is working. Why? They have a system that employs foreign teachers,they have a system that fight corruption in each institution and the students has voice. Employing people outside boost academic morale, competition and makes the job serious. In Nigeria student don't have voice, lecturers do whatever they can because of corruption and the government doesn't give attention. It's not just giving the money then relax it's settle, tomorrow they'll still be another strike,the government needs to follow up with task force. The government should also reduce these schools. What's the essence of having a public,state or private institution that ranks 25,000 in the world rankings and you call that school? Why not invest, expand and focus on the ones already gotten? If you check other African countries, Nigeria has the least destination for international students,not because we're not good,but corruption and unnecessary strikes. Here in my school, it's going and no disruption except public holidays and end of academic year. Lecturers interact with students on telegram, WhatsApp etc,they even know you by name and in the group even at night you have a challenge,they assist you. They have a strict law that governs both the students and lecturers so we know our boundaries. You misbehave,or give sex for marks,or assault a student or even take bribe and you're reported,that's your end in the school. Government schools should be more regulated,those nonsense can only happen in private institutions. So it's disappointing that Nigeria education system is still in crunches. I'm saddened my mate I left behind in Nigeria same faculty of medicine are home due to ASUU strike and here we're about ending the academic year and if the strike continue,it will take 2yrs to meet up, meaning I'll finish work while they're still in school. It's barbaric. I'll advise those who have money not to even think of private school there,but move out. You can search scholarship,or apply using transcript. Even schools in Asia,some in Africa, America,are good. Just move out,you won't regret you did. Forget the Media racist and whatever about Nigeria. To be frank,among all African countries, Nigeria is still seen as the best,and they love Nigerians. It's really a pity a whole lagos state can't even boast of a standard FIFA approved stadium.

Anytime I hear Uyo,I recall their emblem"land of promise". Every good thing in Nigeria is coming there. You'll never hear corruption deals,or corrupt leaders in Uyo otherwise Uyo won't be were it's today. Everything needs sacrifice. If you look at other states,not like they don't have this infrastructures,but poor maintenance due to corruption. Everything in Uyo is up-to-date, and like moving around Europe, you enjoy the clean environs,breath good air,and you see people hustling, doing business in clean stores..not littering. All these are being paid towards adequate maintenance. Very soon,just few years from now,the whole country will be using our seaport and international airport because we've learnt and understand that corruption is major reason Nigeria is backward. If all states can have good thinking elders, that reason together and avoid corruption then produce good governors like Akwa ibom the next 8years, you'll see real change in Nigeria.

The president can't on his own, it's our corrupt state governors,chairmans etc. Leave oil aside, Akwa ibom is investing heavily on good governance, infrastructures like good road network (transportation both land and air), power (electricity), agriculture (mechanised faming), Ict, Education, Health, and light industries. Take the fast development Akwa ibom has witness in the last decade,even Calabar our root is watching us flying...(Like Uk watching USA now flying). Who train who? It gives me joy anytime I hear good things happening in Akwa ibom,this state was the worst degraded and mocking state in Nigeria. But today,go North,go East,go West, everybody wants to visit AKWA-IBOM,and once they come,they refuse to go back...
- We have done it on land transportation Aktc (popular Government of Akwa ibom state buses) that was trending and still trending today.
We have done it in medical sector with ibom specialist (best of it kind in Africa).
- We have done it in aviation (popular ibom air) remaining international terminal now.
- We have done it on roads with Julius Berger giving 10yrs warranties. If you have any street with potholes,let alone major roads,just snap and post online (if any), within next 14 days maintenance unit through the commissioner of works will fixed it. Only in FCT I've seen such as well.
- We have done it in sports (stadium,chess,ibom golf,etc),all best in Nigeria.
- We have done it in electricity( producing our own electricity called ibom power plant and Qua Ibo). I must commend on this because I've visited many states and I've seen their weakness here. Anyone living in uyo can quote me wrong if there's any place you can stay upto 2days (I mean it) without light? It's getting better because people are getting employed, people are leaving Lagos, Abuja to Uyo. So with or without oil, Akwa ibom still survived because we're putting many things other states can't in places. They say oil will finish (many years to come we still have oil), and they forget the world is moving towards gas,and we have large gas reserves. So when oil finish, Nigeria start exporting gas and Akwa ibom still in the business.
Ask a typical Akwa ibom man who's not doing well in Lagos the industrial city,what next now? He will tell you I'm going home(Uyo)...not any other states. Why? Because it's better you make a name in your home than living your entire life abroad and nothing to show up. After all, it's here we make money then take it to enjoy & established abroad. Who has ear make e ear. Lets fight corruption!

This makes me remember 6years ago when UNN locked hostel and asked student to go home, I was returning for Christmas same time,there was no bus to convey large number of passengers who were already stranded in the largest park in Enugu. I think of many things,but I have no choice but join and sleep in the parked. To our surprise,next morning, we all were amaze to see empty brand new buses with nylon still wrapped up moving in...that the state governor has ordered everyone to be lifted back home safely. We were happy and it was on Saturday, sanitation but army on check point were praising us as we move on convoy, 'beautiful Akwa ibom people carry go,Una governor dey try'. And at a time we arrive Uyo capital,a young girl within age 6/7 stood up and was wow, mommy are we in London? Everybody laugh,the mother reply, we're home,this is Akwa ibom dear.
What am I saying? If you haven't been to Uyo,this Xmas or New year,take your children,wife, brother/sister, parents or girlfriend to Uyo. Have fun! Enjoy peaceful environ.

In Africa,only one country is making waves internationally, foreign media try to dirty Nigeria in fake crimes,yet we're pushing economy globally,we have them working with President B in Whitehouse,we have them in OPEC,we have them in UN,we have them in wto,we have them in AU,and many to mention were internet can serves.
Once the name Nigeria is mentioned,it gives many of them headache,they scramble,they have sleepless nights thinking how to react. Recently, UK, Canada made reckless attempt to ban African countries due to covid,and none of these countries speak out internationally m because they don't have people representing them. But mere including Nigeria,it was a sleepless night to them, now see the results today. They're scrambling to reverse,why? We have them in Whitehouse,we have them in UN(deputy secretary),we have them everywhere. Nigeria is dirty via media,but come inside,you regret all the fake news going viral against my beloved country. The west our colleagues knows very well,but simply because we're not giving in to pressure of legalising gay, bisexual, transgender whatever, they're crazy on us. But Naija is shifting. And the Question is, which country has highest number of internet/ social media clients in Africa? Abeg, Ghana is like Taiwan to us, make them shift, we just need to keep protecting them. Imagine if Ghana was added to the list of travel ban, they'll come to ECOWAS to get appeal first.

They have in TV, radio,and newspapers all over Streets. But Nigeria will continue to pamper Ghana as baby they because we're neighbours. Lets not drag much, mention your highest, expensive, clean and beautiful city, then we have Google right away. I'll only mention one small town in Uyo (leaving Lagos & Abuja metropolis because this ones no be Ghana mates.) we compare ok. Stop fooling yourself and come to reality.
