Romance / Re: "Clean Boys Are Seen As Girly While Messy Boys Are More Masculine" - Lady by Smartademu(m): 10:50am On Jul 14, 2018
delugajackson:
Very nice observation. But it all boils down to one's up-bringing. I think our mothers saw the future already.

With the way these ladies lazy about these days, would it not be a thing of happiness to actually do your cooking, cleaning and tidying without waiting for a lady to do that for you? A typical Nigerian lady will cross her legs while you're sweeping. She will tell you she's not used to "hard life." Worst case, you both get married and she comes up with a nasty attitude. Refusing to cook because of some misunderstanding. You need to show her you're not disadvantaged in that regard.

Far from that, being clean should not considered as being girly. Rather, it is a responsibile attitude that stems from a childhood of discipline and orderliness. Privileged kids who have everything done for them end up becoming irresponsible adults afterwards.

I see nothing masculine about not being able to wash your own clothes, fix your own meal and do your own cleaning.
Exactly, my mom will divide the house chores equally with us the boys and when you complain she would let you know that it is for your own good, you might fall in love with a girl who is not good at cooking and other house chores then you will appreciate what she was doing. She was right, my children will finish their food and even ask for seconds anytime I cook but are always coerced and cajoled to eat anytime their mother cooks. Thanks to you mummy.

So it's not the church duty to provide these things but the church collects from the society in the form of offering and tithes abi , the worst thing is churches and religious institutions are not taxed yet they collect hugely from the society with no apparent service they provide. If you care about the advancement of this country you won't be talking like this.
The churches don't force people to give tithes and offerings. We that do it, do it out of conviction from the Word of God and we owe nobody any explanation. If you don't do it that's your conviction but why are you taking pain killer for a headache that you think we are having? Leave us to give our money to the church, it is not your business. After all its our money. Thank you.

It's sad we have this mindset , if the government's efforts aren't enough it's not bad if private institutions or individuals provide these needs at a cost , the point to bring out of this is that we need better health care or schools than places of worship. Are Americans not rich as well , do they build churches like we do I blame the government as much as I blame our religious leaders
Mindset? You have forgotten we are Africans and do not expect us to have the same mindset as Americans, we are different and so is our way of life. BTW when has it become the duty of the church to provide all these things you are talking of? Someone was even asking why the church is not creating jobs, funny. The church's role in the society is mostly spiritual and where they can, assist their communities physically and the church is trying in that area.

You give 10 naira to collect 30 naira , that is no help if you ask me. People need better health care and better schools not bigger churches
And it is the duty of the church to provide good schools and hospitals, where did the government go to?
Religion / Re: Dunamis Glory Sanctuary, The Lord’s Garden Abuja, The World's Biggest Auditorium by Smartademu(m): 5:25pm On Jul 08, 2018
Armchair critics, sitting on their poor asses and vomiting ignorance about what they know nothing or little about. Have you people been to Dunamis to find out the various welfare programs being undertaken by the church or even taken into account the number of jobs being created by the building of that edifice?
