More money for the politicians to chop and clean mouth... After all a 32billion naira pension scam was rewarded (punished) with 600k fine... So why will people keep their money there again except if they can be assured of minimal contact with politicians ...

datribune:
Smh. I blame d military for not giving dis Pa Ekwueme & his then boss, Shagari, d " Jerry Rawlins treatment". Ghana dat suffered a similar fate like Nigeria, executed d crooks who raped their country to stupor. Shagari & his NPN kleptocracy consisted of d worst set of criminals masquerading as politicians who looted our nation to bankruptcy in d worst recession in our history. d thieving politicians looted dis nation to d extent dat no one would borrow d heavily indebted Nigeria any more money. There was no food, no money. Soap, milk, sugar etc popularly called "essential commodities" disappeared from d shelves just like in Zimbabwe. d federal govt could not pay staff salaries. Only few states were able to apply d IMO FORMULA - (half salary) pioneered by Kalu Idika Kalu d then Imo state comm 4 finance. Multinationals like kingsway, UTC, PZ etc left d country. Daily more & more people became unemployed. In short d economy collapsed. No food, no jobs, no salaries. d nation was a time bomb & a descent to anarchy was imminent b4 d army struck.
d day Shagari & his NPN, were booted out of power, was probably one of d greatest days in Nigerian history. Pa Ekwueme & his cohorts hav done enough damage. He needs to bow out & keep thanking God dat d army showed him mercy.

seems you are mistaking Buhari and idiagbon's regime for Shagari and Ekwueme's ... all this things you have listed all took place during the first coming of Buhari...

Admins pls send this to the front page for the interest of the general public..

Let me come in here cos i quite understand wat may have transpired, being a medical doctor

The woman in question may have been badly managed at the delivery house where she was initially. Here she comes with prolonged obstructed labour and uterine rupture from their unorthodox and dangerous manouvres.

Only an emergency caesarian section can ever bring out the woman and the baby alive. But again, she had uterine rupture. any doctor any where in the world would surely see how to repair the rupture and reduce the bleeding or else she would die. but in many cases attempts at repairing the rupture can be impossible if the tear is big and the bleeding torrential. among other things, a hysterectomy ( removal of the womb) is indicated here as a last resort. we are talking of life and death here. that is the standard everywhere in the world.

the cathether ( pipe) they inserted which they alleged was not removed after some days was for a purpose.
Catheters stay at least 10 days following obstructed labour. the aim is to allow the bladder to rest or else the woman will have a VVF, which she likely already had, from the malhandling at the previous delivery house before she was referred.

the doctors acted in the interest of the the patient. they should go back and kneel before the doctors and thank them profusely. is that how they want to pay back? Going to court? let them go to court. the doctors will be vindicated anywhere in this world.
we are talking of life and death here and here is someone talking about a womb that was removed. how is that?

the whole lessson here is that proper counselling and taking informed consent is very important.
For the layman, dnt sign anything that you dont understand. pls ask questions.
lastly, patients and their relations must learn gratitude after a life saving intervention of this enormous magnitude.
thank you.

pls Admins sent to front page for the enlightenment of the general public.
Gbam, u have said it all.... The pastor is likely presenting a dud cheque that will bounce... The money he used to hire the lawyer can't he pay his bills with that? If they had refused to attend to the patient without payment people will be here shouting but her life has been saved after the heroics of the doctors and after the whole ordeal he does not want to pay... BTW he has 4 children already this is the 5th...

That being said I think the family of the woman will benefit from proper counseling...

This might also be a strategy to escape payment of the hospital bill

Chinedu should pay up.

This is a classic tale of giving a dog (the hospital)a bad name,so they can hang him.

I mean, the wife was rushed from another hospital to this one,so her life could be saved.

So the husband and the lawyer should not authoritatively pin it on this hospital,as the woman's womb could have been damaged from the last hospital and this hospital saved the wive's life.

Chinedu is trying to be smart here.

Why did Chinedu and his lawyer not petition the other hospital?a hospital your wife was rushed from bleeding profusely?

Truth is,if Chinedu had paid the Hospital their money,he would have taken his wife home.

Another suspicious thing about this matter is the Cheque thing. Why did the Pastor not Cash his own Cheque, and then give the cash to Chinedu to offset the bill?that tells me they wanted to give the hospital a dud (bad)cheque.

Chinedu and his Lawyer's story not passing the smell test.
Thanks brother... There is hope for Nigeria yet... After seeing alot of stupid posts this one hits the nail on the head.... The idiot even has 4 children sef and this is the fifth... No doctor will remove the uterus of a woman except if indicated... His wife was bleeding seriously.... Simple question, your wife dead with her womb or her alive without it...

Bladder injuries will heal after some time with the catheter..
From all indications the hospital acted in good faith and with professionalism

That is not what I asked you . YOU said UNFETTERED . YOUR words!! Freedom and UNFETTERED freedom are very different concepts. If you make an argument be prepared to back up. This has absolutely nothing to do with detesting. If any activity can cause social problems government has the right to REGULATE. People have a right to drive if they get a licence. It is not an unfettered right. People have a right to drive if they obey traffic regulations.

The same applies to movement there is freedom of movement

but it is not unfettered. Government has a right to regulate it.
People have a right to sell food but in some cases government says you must get NAFDAC approval. SO regulation is everywhere
The funny thing here is we are not talking about people we are talking about animals. government has the power to regulate how animals are transported. too . Regulation is the fundamental power of government to FETTER rights. The real issue is whether the fetters comply with the constitution. An entirely different argument. But your fundamental assertion of UNFETTERED rights is bunkum

You are the one that started speaking oyinbo and at the first challenge you resort to bluff and bluster.

No rights are unfettered because all rights conflict with other rights and governance is about balance.Yes you have the right to swing your arms but that right stops at my nose. It is not unfettered
Once again I ask where do you get this claim that ONLY FEDERAL legislation can change it. You made the claim.Where is your evidencehuh
Whether it is possible or not again is a different argument from the argument of constitution and rights that you started with so choose one argument and stick to it
Erudite!!!

Take heart dear and thank God for ur guy... your not being awake is actually a blessing in disguise, many have been killed and some handicapped but u got off without a scratch albiet some psychological trauma...

As for jungle justice.... well it can cut both ways as sometimes innocent people have been lynched... for the guilty ones, i say its from fire to fire....

That being said, if we can strengtgen our law enforcement process it will go al ong way in reducing crime and incidents of jungle justice as studies have shown that most crimes are committed by the same set of people...

Hello fans,
When i began this book and the criticism started up, i told you people time and again that i hadn't proofread or made any major corrections but was posting it anyway to check the impact of the plot. This story is now fully edited by me, proofread by me and modified by me after my writing style. MINE! Where are the critics, i wonder? Perhaps they are asleep or perhaps gone off to visit Kofi Olimide in jail...poor stupid fellow that Kofi, if it was Nigeria now the babe he kicked would be going to jail instead of him.
Critics make una yap una mind ooooooooooo, Lol!
