you are so right poste! I think they are capable of ration and criticle thinking. I kow this becos i have had hot arguement with many of them. But the problem is we are afraid of accepting that which apears to be contrary to our preconception and preconviction even though we can see that the new knowledge is, beyond all doubt, true. We prefer to accept that the reason why the match stick lights up after being struck at the side of the match box is due to some supernatural phenomenon rather than scientific process. We tend to see the supernatural in all things.this trend is made worse by the radical pentecostal churches we have today. 1 Like |

it wasnt a riot it was a protest. I am a student here. I am still in school sha even though we were given till 6 pm to leave the school for an indefinite break. The students blocked the road that leads to the airport and giri junction. The protest did not reach glada as reported in the post. The best unis in nigeria are the first generation ones |

for those of you trying to put the MB in the SE, know that that is not possible. Idoma, Igala, Tiv, etc are not in any way south as claimed by some people who are angry about the north power. All of the tribes in the MB are not core north and are in no way south hence they are called north central or MB. If this country were to dis integrate, then in my opinnion, the MB should stay on its own. I am Idoma and i see myself as north central first. Divide this country into two, then i am northerner. But to say we are SE is what i not only rejecting vehemently, but also hiss at in all of the MB languages put together |

i want to be a good electronics engr with good practical knowledge of the printed circuit board. i also want to have practical knowledge on writing software. the reason why i want this is so that i can come up with a new technology that is so use full and can fetch me so much money. i will use that money to develop infrastructure in nigeria and the whole of africa and also buy a portion of africa and resettle black americans so that they can have their independent state. to achieve this, i am thinking about enrolling with a technician and become his student. i cannot rely on what i am been thought here at the university. as you all know, you will only know how to solve maths if you rely completely on the nigerian university all through your five years of studying engineering. i also want to buy books so that i can educate myself. do you think my plan is ok? or do you think there are other things i need to do? if there are, what are they? your ideas will be most appreciated. |

[b]i am 23 years old and in 100l at the university. i have had many experiences in life but not romance and it is for the following reasons: i have never felt so strongly for a woman (i am not gay). the only woman i have ever felt so strongly for is the one that, culturally, i should not have any thing of that sort to do with and she is even married. i have seen so many women but do not have feelings for any one of them. i wouldnt like to lie to a woman that i have feelings for her when actually i do not. i dont lie to my self either. i wouldnt like to have sex yet despite the desire. i am not religious (infact i am strongly against it) so this has got nothing to do with religious or moral instruction. i also think that having a girlfriend would increase the chances of me not keeping to my choice. my parent are strongly opposed to the boyfriend girlfried thing. they just believe we should wait till we are ready to get married. another reason why i have not had a girlfriend is that, i am afraid i would lose focus in pursuing my dreams. But not too long ago, i met someone here in school. she is so tall, about 30-40cm tallerthan me (i dont think that should be a problem) and she is increadibly beautiful. i have strong feelings for her. she is the first one i am having feelings for apart from the one i talked about earlier. Although we do not have anything between us yet, her beauty, which makes me tremble, occupies my mind so that i can hardly focus when studying. i am so confused that i do not know what to do. so i am asking; should i disregard all of the reasons why i have never had a woman as i mentioned earlier and go for this one? or should i stay back from her? i watch hard time on nat geo and the only people i see in prison (most people) are african americans and i begin to wonder why. is it that they commit crime more often than other people? if so , why? i also heard on the bbc the other time that the average afro american lives 5 times less than the average white american. i wonder why it is like that especially when you consider the fact that america is a land of equal opportunities for every one. at this side of the ocean , if you hear ''afro american" the first thing that comes to mind is hip hop or sports and i begin to wonder, is it that there are no afro american professionals? |
