Mr Aboki: Glo just wasted their money on the Nigerian league.

I would have thought that GLO would have watched the documentary on how the EPL was rebranded, repackaged and upgraded from what it used to be to what it currently is. I wonder if they just throw money at every and anything that moves for nothing. GLO should have given them some solid conditions for sponsorship. Its very sad to see some clubs play matches with no names on their jerseys. The jerseys and other club paraphenelia are not even available to fans for purchase. Before splashing all that cash on the NPL, GLO should have insisted on alot of changes that must be met within a period of their sponsorship. Even the Clubs should start soliciting sponsors. I'll like to see a Dolphins F.C jersey designed by Nike or Puma and avialable for sale, with the club having a good website, good fan/club relationship, e.t.c.

Clubs need to repair their images as well. You watch english clubs and their players all have to behave and act a certain way. They wear suits to match venues, all with the clubs colors on their ties, they are well behaved and composed, e.t.c. I will never forget meeting a Nigerian clubside on a flight back from Ghana. If it were a bus, I would have stopped mid way and taken abother. Even the NPL managers need to find a way of making the league interesting and appealing to Nigerians. I would even say that Ghanas Local football league has somehow advanced way more than ours in terms of followership. Infact, you can spot an Ashanti Kotoko fan from a mile out. On match days, everyone is glued to a radio set to listen to commentaries..

I'm sorry, but I cant really excitedly relate to this news as I feel its just another waste of effort..

Is it your money.?
Is $12million too much to spend on your country despite the huge revenues they make from Nigeria?
This same league gave us the bulk of our nation's cup winning team, for christ's sake.
What a miser.
Politics › Re: Nigerian Anthem Sang Before South-Africa's Anthem in Capetown by solomon111(m): 2:07pm On May 07, 2013
Richtalk: No I don't agree with you. What of during football matches, are the players sitting Presidents too?
Protocol demands that you honour your guest first, whether president, civilian, footballer etc
footballers/sportspersons are valid and official representatives of their respective nations,so playing national anthems during sporting events is due protocol.
Clinton was not representing the US govt, playing the american anthem was moronnic.
I am sure he must have chuckled at the Ogun state govt.

Ibro Yaya: I think I am more informed than you are. That's how it is suppose to be done, but I wonder why people on this same forum were crying foul during Clinton's visit to Nigeria.

https://www.nairaland.com/1209089/american-anthem-announced-before-nigeria
Because Clinton is a civilian, and not an official of the US govt.
He was not representing the United states govt.
Car Talk › Re: Why Is INTERNATIONAL DRIVING PERMIT Not Allowed In Nigeria. by solomon111(m): 1:33pm On May 07, 2013
redsun: Because nigeria has no driving system. No policies,no formations and no alliances.

Same in everything as a result of gross moral decadence.
who cares if it is international or not?.
Is the Nigerian driving permit allowed in many countries?
If you must drive in Nigeria, then you should get a Nigerian permit.
It's as simple as that.

alj harem: but the igbos are doing the same with the nigeria army, aviation and customs.
Actually, the FG is just trying to apply federal character in those sectors.
Northerners have been dominating those sectors for years.

idupaul: Air Defence ke? When ghanian chopper are known to fly into Lagos without permission everyday to drop passenger from accra..
Bloody liar.
The Nigerian airspace is totally covered by radar.
It would take a good stealth tech to evade detection, and very few countries have such tech.

Even under a southern presidency,Northern agenda is being executed in almost every section of Nigeria.
I wonder what will happen if we have a northern president.
Disgusting.

Bliss4Lyfe: Even Nigeria Army boyz cannot be trusted. It seems the Army leaves through the front, Boko Haram comes through the back. Only a select, vetted and trusted members of the army should be allowed as perimeter guard on those birds, while cctv are used for close circuit surveillance of the jets.

Boko haram are finding it way to easy to down Nigerians on planes, helicopters and Jet.
stop talking crap.

Mad Cow: So we should rather put our officers inside aircrafts that are so easy to shoot down with a simple RPG instead abi?

Why not spend money to purchase 5 super fighter jets rather than have 25 super ordinary flying coffins?! Just the other day in Port-Harcourt, I saw an Airforce Gunship that was smoking as if it had just been hit in combat.
None of the jets in the military are flying coffins, though i believe we should have decommissioned some of them by now.
The airforce is currently looking for air-superiority fighters, and i just hope they go for SU-30.
Politics › Re: Nigerian Military Jet Crashes In Niger Republic by solomon111(m): 8:03am On May 07, 2013
Mad Cow: When the rest of the world have all upgraded to Mirages, F/A-18 Hornets, F-22 Raptors, B-2 Spirit Stealth bomber, F-117 Nighthawk, Nigeria is still flying aircrafts that are best suited for a military museum. No ejector seat on a fighter jet in 2013?! Amazing..

Anyways, with the poor funding of our military, its a surprise really that they dont still fight on horses armed only with bows and arrows.
Do you know how much a B-2 spirit cost, let alone the cost of maintainence?
You want us to use the federal allocation to your state to get those birds?
That would be a very good idea.
Politics › Re: Nigerian Military Jet Crashes In Niger Republic by solomon111(m): 11:11pm On May 06, 2013
RIP to those great men!
I think it is time we give those alpha -jets away as gifts.
Those ogas at the top should hurry up and get these guys SU-30s.
What the fucck are they waiting for?
Why must they keep sacrificing the lives of scarce, competent and experienced members of the airforce on the alter of mediocrity.
It's sad indeed.
Politics › Re: PDP Urges EFCC To Probe Fashola Administration by solomon111(m): 9:57am On May 06, 2013
oloriooko: probe him for what? doing what many pdp governors successfully failed to do?
clueless clowns
So he should be left alone because he has 'performed',even when guity of corrupt practices?
I hope you are not one of those that want akpabio probed by the EFCC on various allegations of corruption,as that would be hypocritical. Akpabio has won various awards as Nigeria's best governor with breathtaking infrastructural projects as evidence.
Politics › Re: PDP Urges EFCC To Probe Fashola Administration by solomon111(m): 9:45am On May 06, 2013
HNosegbe: Alams was impeached before his prosecution. Your analogy is way off, unless you're proposing that Fashola be impeached.
What i am saying is that the battle against corruption should go beyond political sentiments.
Just because it was instigated by PDP dosen't mean it should be ignored.
PDP could have 'protected' alams given the fact that they are the ruling party, but they didn't.
Politics › Re: PDP Urges EFCC To Probe Fashola Administration by solomon111(m): 9:34am On May 06, 2013
HNosegbe: What is wrong with what he said? Attack his points.
Attack what points?
Are you telling me fashola is above an EFCC Probe?
Who cares if it is PDP that is instigating it.
Was alams not a PDP governor?
If fashola needs to be probed then he should be probed and thrown into jail if found guilty.
Afterall,a guiltless man has nothing to hide.

Most of the people against this move are members of churches like RCCG and winners, whose MOGs are owners of multiple jets.
Politics › Re: Private-Jet Owners Barred From Carrying Friends And Associates by solomon111(m): 9:03am On May 06, 2013
Very good.
They should make the purchase of private jets 'unpalatable'.
Btw,if owners of private jets starts carrying everybody, then it would adversely affect commercial airlines which could lead to a devastating effect on the economy.
Politics › Re: PDP Urges EFCC To Probe Fashola Administration by solomon111(m): 8:57am On May 06, 2013
Prof Corruption: Wide accusations without any specificity. Clueless clowns pursuing shadows.

What is needed is just one petition detailing fraudulent schemes to EFCC not an investigation done on the pages of Newspaper. Probe Fasola without any specific charge of fraud? It does not sound like an actionable request. Why can't this clown write a petition to EFCC if he suspects any cover up?
yeah.
You are as predictable as anything.
Bloody syncophant.

Rooney wasn't fouled, and the fact that luiz laughed dosen't mean it was not a red card offense.
Luiz is a gentleman, and any true lover of football should be proud of him.

You are basing your facts on wikipedia?
A Wikipedia page that could have been edited by ghanians?
Lol.
Nigerians have been eating fufu in their various ethnic groups, hundreds of years before Nigeria or ghana came into existence.

The internet activities of american citizens is completely monitored by the american authorities.
