The eaglets just play the ball on the ground.
That 's the only way they can overcome the less-technical,more-stronger ivorians.

We should endeavour to put the ball on the ground.

Henry120: We needs american over-priced planes, when we can get cheaper/ better more reliable variants from the Russians the chinese or the swedes. The only aircraft I'd advise the NAF to go for, if I'm in a position to, is the C17 globemaster III transport plane.

The AH-10 thunderbolt( american) is way more expensive and less reliable than it's russian equivalent, the SU-25 fighter.
Exactly.
The russian equivalents are less expensive and a lot of the time, more reliable.

souldust: isnt the l-15 an old soviet plane? I think iran uses it. I dont know much about planes though but dont you think the f-16 will be better than the L-15?

The SU-30 is a good one.
The L-15 is a chinese adaption of the russian Yak-130.
They are great stuff and it is not an old plane.
Actually, we go buy the plane's TYRES as tokunbo in 20 years.
it is expensive, but not beyond the reach of Nigeria.
We don't need it anyway.
BTW, western fighter-jets are highly over-priced.
The russian equivalent of most of these jets with almost idential capabilities would be far less costlier.

It seems france and cameroon are funding islamists in Nigeria, possibly accounting for the new sophisticated weapons bokoharam now brandishes.
Many countries would go to war over this.
The Nigeria senate should declare war on cameroon to teach them a lesson.
Cameroonians are africans, they should know better.

Politics › Re: Is Nigeria Really Unsafe? by solomon111(m): 12:22am On Apr 26, 2013
Just like someone said,Nigeria have very few patriots.
The so-called citizens have so over-amplified negatives stereotypes about the country even to ignorant foreigners.
Which is why i don't even blame unscrupulous western media anymore for any untrue negative depiction of Nigeria, afterall the so-called citizens are there to re-enforce it anyway even when they know the truth.
I mean who needs BBC and CNN, when we can get Nigerians themselves to humiliate their country.
Divide the damn country,Nigeria has no true citizen.
Politics › Re: Is Nigeria Really Unsafe? by solomon111(m): 12:09am On Apr 26, 2013
OAM4J: lol

I feel even much safer in Lagos compare to a good number of places in Nigeria. This is not about GEJ's PDP or Tinubu's ACN. If we dont admit our problems and tell ourselves the truth, how are we going to even make attempt to solve the problems?

I doubt you have ever lived in a safe and secured country, else you will know the difference.
pls sir, would you mind telling me your definition of a secured country, and give us an example of the 'secured country' you've lived in.
Webmasters › Re: Nigerian Navy Website On Crude-Oil Theft by solomon111(m): 1:27pm On Apr 25, 2013
ZACHIE: For a third world country like ours, i think it is pure weakness for Government to be appealing to thieves and vandals to stop sabotaging the common good of the nation.
For a fraction of what those oil bunkerers are stealing not a few Asian countries will go to war. Almost all African countries will declare full faced war for sabotage above $5Billion. Yet, bros is appealing all over the place as if those guys care about good naturedness.
Abacha would never ever have appealed to nobody. Never. OBJ wouldn,t.

But, Oga Odenson will appeal to anything that disturbs his drinking time.
so the creation of a website where oil-thefts should be reported means the govt is appealing to oil-thieves?
You are a slowpoke.

patriot4: The military didn't fail, it is the FG that is failing because our president is a chicken. And you see the problem is that those people who are feeling marginalized are absolutly not marginalized. They produce almost nothing in the society and the rest of the nation keeps giving them allowances, yet they feel marginalized!
would you mind telling us why you think the president is a chicken, and what you would have done differently?

alnaijiri: Compare Kano and Lagos. The wealth of the North has been plundered to beautify Lagos and other southern states, while the North is abandoned and neglected. The Northerners have a stake in the shared wealth of Nigeria and we will not leave without them.

Just like the British have colonised Nigeria and Nigerians are now flooding into Britain to take back some of the loot taken from Africa. So must Northerners be allowed to access the wealth of the South which have plundered the North.

Much of the economic infrastructure of the Nigeria is owned by Muslim Northerners, and of course no sane Northerner would want to relinquish what is our birthright: namely the oil fields and the economic opportunities of the South.
Apart from lagos and the SW,what part of southern-Nigeria was built with revenues from the North.?
So the oil wells in the niger-delta are your birthrights?
I don't blame you.
It is the traitors in the south, selling southern nigeria to the north, that i blame.
May amadioha shrivel your cocck, you bloody bastardd.

Lagos has gotten it right for the first time , i hope before then they will reject the money from derivation and form a common wealth with the other south western states so that the FG will not impose a derivation formula on this income
Are you kidding me?

Abujabir24: what brought hausa into this? Its clear you don't like hausa people. You despise them and I bet there isn't any reason for that. That's what many southerners say when they come to the north. My question is why would you travel from the south and go to the north since you all said you despise the people. That's how one useless bank worker said "you this hausa people sef" and she's working in Kaduna. Can u imagine? If she hates the hausas, why would she travel to the north to work? I believe if you hate people then u shld diassociate with them completely instead of been a hypocrite. That's how youth would say all this abokis sef or malos. But at d end of the day, they would go for nysc in the north and screw our sisters. Useless people. Mtwss
we will dissociate from you when the North stops to parasitically feed on the niger-delta.
we will dissociate from you the day your 'born to rule' elites supports the division of the mirage called Nigeria.

DictatorZAR: Now your comments is exactly what I referred to in my previous post, this thinking and idea that other african countries are still safari destinations.

Did you know that the IT sector in Kenya is its biggest growth sector now and that there's been many world class mobile applications coming from Kenya these days that's specifically aimed at solving african problems

Did you also know that the agricultural sector in Kenya especially there flower exporting sector is the second biggest in Africa. So please stop this ccn/bbc nonsense about tourism(eventhough tourism is a mass foreign exchange earner)

The same thing is happening in Mauritus which has set itself as Africa's leading Telecommunications hub and is gearing itself to become africa's Singapore including Cape Verde, and they've succeeded so far, same for Angola who was the first African nation to fully implement 4G LTE services even beating allot of EU states.

Africa isn't just two countries, look around and you'll see many other smaller states doing things far better then SA and Nigeria. Just because we have more spending power then them doesn't mean they ain't progressive. Standards of living is what matters not a few rich people here and there now we think and claim we are the big brothers while 60% of the people of our people still struggle.

Educate yourself
I agree completely.

andrewza: Really show proof. Every piece of news on the nigerian ecconmy mentsions that it is depended on oil. Most of those companys are forgine owned.

What forghin companies are moving to nigeria from SA. Show proof that they leaveing SA to go to nigeria.

Nigeria is the land that can be riped off easly thanks to poor regulstions and high corrupstion.

Remove oil and nigeria falls.
The Nigerian govt has already begin moves to stop such exploitation of Nigeria by foreign companies, even SA companies can testify to that.
The rate at which SA companies rip off Nigeria has reduced drastically, though it is inevitable.
Even china gets ripped off by American companies.
Your last point is moot,
Nigeria will not fall if oil is removed.
It only accounts for 20-30% of GDP or even less.
Fortunately,Nigeria is already diversifying.
In 10yrs time,we may not depend on oil at all.
