If the northern elders are tired of S0E,then they should lobby for a sovereign national conference with secession from Nigeria as the aim.
Then they can deal with BH in their islamic republic by themselves.
Politics › Re: At Last, He (GEJ) Awakes! by solomon111(m): 9:52am On May 19, 2013
ogb5: I do not think Jonathan ever wanted to unleash the full military strenght on any nigerian.

It takes a lot for a Civilian government, brought into power by the vote of the people, to turn the guns of the government against his people.

GEJ hoped the terrorists will see reason and stop the mayhem. That obviously did not work as they misconstrued his relunctance to engage them to be a sign of weakness.
only a fool will call any Nigeria or African President weak. Most African leaders have alot of power vested on their seat that they can overun all opposition, unless such opposition is aided openly by western powers.

It is good that the President has decided to engage them for what they are.
Whether Nigeria comes out of this victorious is waiting to be seen, but one thing is sure, a lot of the terrorists will die, that alone is ok by the majority of the citizens.
I also agree with you.
GEJ was forced by undesirable happenings to apply substantial military might on the terrorists, though the timing had to be right.
Politics › Re: At Last, He (GEJ) Awakes! by solomon111(m): 9:45am On May 19, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: I disagree with the writer. The president did not suddenly wake up to declare SOE. Saying such will be unfair to the detailed planning, logistics, intelligence and consultations that took place before declaration of SOE. Declaration of SOE has long been on the president's table, even before the committee on amnesty was set up. All that the govt was waiting for to declare SOE was the RIGHT TIME and a TRIGGER. The trigger came with the Boko haram attack on Bama and the build up for the RIGHT TIME followed the rejection of amnesty by the leader of Boko haram, Shekau. The kind of military operation currently taking place in the north has to enjoy widespread support, otherwise it may backfire on the president, who is from the south. Therefore, the TIMING has to be RIGHT
I agree.
The timing has to be right.
Politics › Re: Boko-Haram Militants Flood Gombe, Bauchi by solomon111(m): 9:42am On May 19, 2013
Tolexander: never expected much from someone that said boko haram insurgency is greater than the nigerian civil war.
Why didn't GEJ try asserting the terrorists in those states instead of SoE like you expected OBJ to arrest the Militants in Odi and Zaki Biam.
Are you still trying to compare odi and zaki biam massacre to GEJ's S0E?
Smh.
Politics › Re: Boko-Haram Militants Flood Gombe, Bauchi by solomon111(m): 8:36am On May 19, 2013
Tolexander: your reasoning belittled and ridiculed the name you carry cos Solomon was famous for these 3 things, wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Guess you are the anti version of the name.

Cos a man holds a political office makes him to be smart? What a fallacy of argumentun ad ignorantium!
If he is smart, why does he it takes him a long time to make the emergency rule?
If he is smart, was he not the same president that accused the same tactics employed by OBJ of flaws not knowing it is the same tactics he will still employed at the end of the day.

If he is smarter, why hasn't nigeria better than he met it but still wallowing in corruption?

Well, no need of dragging issues with someone that said france and SE have the same land mass!
So you expect GEJ to apply S0E as his first resolve, without first trying other options.
In a tribalistic Nigeria, where the support of the locals is needed to curb terrorism, you expect GEJ to just implement S0E without giving them the benefits of the doubt that other means have been explored.?
You're even more retardedd than i thought.
There were no terrorists in Odi,yet OBJ decided to massacre the whole town instead of arresting the culprits.
So comparing the "odi massacre" to GEJ's S0E is moronnic.
OBJ was vengeful to say the least.
Btw,i thought you were totally against SOE.
Why are you now complaining that the S0E is belated?
Politics › Re: Boko-Haram Militants Flood Gombe, Bauchi by solomon111(m): 7:37am On May 19, 2013
Tolexander: Exactly why am not yet in support of the emergency rule
your opinion is irrelevant.
Much smarter men than you proposed the S0E.

Didn't you hear that they were targeting SPECIFIC bokoharam camps.?

Politics › Re: IGBOS: Why PDP Will Never Nominate An Igbo Man For President by solomon111(m): 4:01pm On May 18, 2013
nuclearboy: But "Rotation" has been cancelled so for the next 300 years, it will be "count your delegates".

Here's what breaking the killer party's agreement caused but of course,in the euphoria of winning, people forgot there is still the future and that tomorrow will remind them they said NO to power rotation today.

This PDP will never give the East presidency - the constitution gives the north the delegates and thus the power. APC will sooner offer it. But APC is hated by same SE

grin
look at this fake progressive.
How has rotational presidency helped Nigeria?
Is rotational presidency what APC wants to use as bait?
Sorry we are not interested.

which facts are you talking about?
I have not seen any anti-Gej topic that does not make the FP.
Infact the reverse is the case most of the time.
Pro-Gej topics hardly makes FP.

nuclearboy: NL flows with the tide. The state of emergency declaration has boosted the President's rep and so most threads praise him. This is good and there is no reason to complain. He did well and will be praised for it.

What will be bad is if his ratings drop tomorrow and sincerenigerian's group start screaming that everyone hates the President cos they are def NOT crying now! If he messes up, he'll get his medicine, no matter how bitter
you almost sound like you are wishing the president should mess up, so that people would be against him.
Smh.

I have asked you to give me pictures but you will keep posting rurbish. My likes dont just believe potentially duibious xters like you we investigate and deduce.

The Fashola you are trying to smear can daze you with pictures of achievements that will paralyze you ditto the Akwa-Ibom and River's Govt. But with like 60% of the cake going to your Oga at the top you should be able to back all your achievement stories with verifiable pictures.
pls can you tell me any project of fashola that's not in other states.
Politics › Re: Looks Like Jonathan's Approval Ratings Has Hit The Roof? by solomon111(m): 4:38pm On May 17, 2013
Nashville: Do not be deceived about any approval rating hitting the roof. What people are saying is that he should have this 18 months ago. Several people had complained he had been too soft on Boko Haram and it has taken him this long to do something he should have done 18 months ago. Do you think OBJ would have waited this long?

He has shown how confused he really is by first of all declaring amnesty and a month later a state of emergency. Does this man called GEJ really know what he is doing? The State of Emergency is Long overdue.
you think politics in Nigeria is as easy you think?
A nation where various ethnic interests must first be taken into consideration.

Well, it seems Nigeria is about to make history as the first country ever in history of mankind to defeat insurgency by using crude military tactics and obsolete weapons.. grin

It's definitely going to be a hot summer and y'all need to stay praying! lipsrsealed

Politics › Re: Boko-Haram Was Planning To Declare Their Own Country - Tukur by solomon111(m): 6:48pm On May 16, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: dude the world didn't start in 1967(Biafra war) so I really don't get your point, in the ruling of Bakassi in the Ijc your Biafra wasn't even mentioned this shows you are irrelevant your Biafra is/was...
And why should that surprise you that biafra wasn't mentioned?.
Biafra is not yet a sovereign state.
It's currently within Nigeria.
The day biafra regains her freedom, then you will know that the beats of drum has changed.
