He is only showing better maturity, respect for others feelings, and superior negotiation in making sure he convinces every1 he means business and understand how they feel (especially about d zoning thing).

I cannot help but try to drum this into people here . . . a Vote for Jonathan is a still a Vote for

a) Obasanjo

b) IBB

c) Ibori

d) Alams

e) Orji

f) Yar adua

etc.

The same old PDP Party. So, if you want to believe you have a messiah in this man, I suggest you really think this through before it is too late.
OK Kobo is our Messiah. Since u seem to be wiser than everybody and cannot support 'a typical Nigerian'. May be u should find us a typical Ameriacn. useless wannabe

Forget ogogoro leaders, and crucify the fake leaders.
Come out and witness what leadership is all about, come and discover a leader that leads other leaders.

IBB is focused and absolutely knows what needs to be done to attain his goal.
God has given us a great and unique opportunity, it is now up to us to take advantage of it.
We definitely can not afford to allow this incredible opportunity to slip away.

If it isn't IBB, Nigeria will remain in darkness for a very long time. So, come on out, flex your muscle and boldly show your love and uncompromising support for the one and only magnificent candidate around; and his name is IBB.

Together, let us reshape the future of lovely Nigeria; I'm confidence to say that you will never regret it.

He is ready, focused, and on point.

Vote IBB 2011.
IBB's focus on the Federal treasury and we know his plan to bribe delegates NXmillion @ d convention grounds. That is d only plan he has no policy but to come and further plunder the the nation economy into a complete mess like he did btw 1985 - 1993.

We are in dark because of IBB contributions of years of misrules and IBB represents darkness he could not give light, has never given light and can never b a light to d nation.

Sorry we have an important meeting @ Wadata house we cannot work together with the Devil to destroy our country.

Let me guess, Jega is now a hero to you? The man has yet to show you what he is really made of, and I hope you are not already making a hero or anything close out of the man.
To the topic, I say you focus on. It does not matter much where I stand on this, what matters more is that you argue your side in this more honestly.
Jonathan and IBB are running under the PDP Flag. What makes you think that voting for Jonathan is anywhere close to voting against IBB? Are they not of the same party? I mean anyone that thinks voting Jonathan is akin to voting against corruption ought to have his/her head checked because the evidence is overwhelming that a vote for Jonathan under the PDP flag is a vote for the same old . . . . Ibori/Odili/IBB/Obasanjo/Yar adua/ Alams etc.

PoliticsRe: Babangida Picks Odili As Running Mate by Solomon227(m): 5:58pm On Sep 14, 2010
Dont be surprise if one of them comes and call you an IBB supporter
That is very funny!

But honestly it is so sad that we are being left with little political choices because of IBB larger than life presence in this contest. I have never thought of voting for GEJ and have actually been looking forward to more credible candidates until it became so glaring that the Evil genius was going to win easily.

In as much as I have never been inspired by GEJ leadership qualities but he simply remains the only one that can stop IBB second coming. The oppositions seem to be in disarray and none of them has a national spread strong enough to depose PDP in 2011.

We are being confronted with evil men posting posters everywhere and d only choice now seems to putting them on Evil scale and trying to go with d ones with minimal evil.

IBB remains the upper limit on the Evil scale and when the desirable is not available then killing IBB political dream is the priority now.

$20 billion? even Bill Gates doesn't have that much in cash, go sit down my brother only god knows how much GJ will be stealing
Bill gates total wealth is about twice that amount. The problem is dat our leaders normally starch their money in secured accounts protected by some western laws so are not easily accessible by press. For instance u can easily see Dangotes or Otedola's Billions on Forbes but hard to see information on Ibori's or OBJ's billions.

If u want a proof go and buy this book:

The book, The Sink, by Jeffrey Robinson, an American writer, says it all about Babangida. “Of the $120 billion siphoned out of the Nigerian treasury into offshore accounts by dishonest politicians, $20 billion is allegedly traceable to IBB directly as president from 1985 to 1993.”  The World Bank and other international sources of information put his total loot from the Nigerian treasury at over $35 billion.

IBB knows about the book and if Jeffrey was wrong he would have sued him. I have a friend that once borrowed me the book I will scan a copy to u when I lay my hand on the book aagin.

Dont except oyinbo man to reject the Billions your leaders bring to the west, they accept them and use them to develop their own economy. In fact if u want to kill your people to develop the west they will give u poison to put in their food. It's your choice.

Put sentiments aside, if anything, IBB is NOT FOOLISH, well at least as a politician. Do you realize how hard it is for any politician to remain relevant past his/her own time in office? Well, IBB has somehow essentially remained in the spotlight for decades now. If the Nigerian people were even wiser, he would have had to drop below radar for a very long time but because the man has been able to play the game well, he has not only remained in our faces but remained UNTOUCHABLE for so long.
Now, I know you want to comfort yourself thinking that your volunteer work with DOOR2DOOR will somehow change things for him, and it might, but please if all you can do is cost him some votes, then I say it is likely not going to stop this man.
U obviously have not been following political events in Nigeria in recent times. It is hard to forget sentiments when it comes to IBB because he is going to kill again and if u didnt stop him now it might just be your person.

IBB has remained in spot light and popular for all d wrongest reasons. He is d same wavelength with Mobutu, Idi Ami, Pinochet, Hitler and co and that is not an advantage as far as 2011 election is concern.

Kobo, Buhari was powerful b/4 IBB upstaged him, IBB was powerful b/4 Abacha came with his sunshades, GEJ runs d show now and calls d shots. He has been lenient with IBB for obvious reasons else IBB shuld b in court defending Dele Giwas murder & 12.5 Billion dollars oil wind fall.

Fairly or crookedly GEJ is winning PDP primary and the Evil one will be finally demystified.

I said it the same thing was said against Mobutu and only 6 million was found in his accounts and he ruled for 32 years.

Read this:

Swiss court release loot to Mobutu Sese Seko family.

DR Congo criticises Mobutu ruling

The Democratic Republic of Congo has criticised a Swiss court's decision to release the assets of its late ex-leader Mobutu Sese Seko to his family.

Information Minister Lambert Mende told the BBC that Switzerland had not done enough to ensure the money was given back to the people of DR Congo.

He said his country could not appeal against the decision because the legal process had ended.

More than $6m (£3.7m) frozen in Swiss bank accounts is being released.

Mobutu, who died in 1997, governed what was then known as Zaire for 32 years after taking power in a coup and was accused of embezzling billions of dollars of government money.

On Tuesday, the Swiss court ruled that the assets should be returned to his family, rejecting a bid to extend a freeze on them.

Switzerland had repeatedly blocked the release of the funds, said to have been gained illegally.

The court ruled that the DR Congo had waited too long to seek the return of the money.

We know him too well that is why some of us are also matching his evil cunningness with brutal opposition. Wait till d end of the week when GEJ declare his intention. My friends and I have registered as DOOR2DOOR volunteers. Meanwhile ours is not just to campaign for GEJ door to door but readily armed with all the names of the people IBB has killed and denied hapiness.

IBB is not a foolish man, he completely understands that the selection of his VP is the key and plays major role in winning the election.
Don't be fooled, I honestly don't think IBB will pick Odeli as his VP.
On the contrary he is not only foolish but a plague every1 is afraid to be identified with. I heard a joke that Devil advised IBB to prepare his own hell because 2 Captains cannot control a ship. Do you really live in London? 12.5 Billion dollars, there is country on earth where you can take 12.5 billion dollars without someone having a palpable proof of that. There is no place on earth to hide all that money. They said that against Mobutu when he died they merely found some millions dollars.
I'm not saying IBB did not steal, but the figure is over bloated and the sad part is that 99% of Nigerians will steal from their government if they had the chance.
Are u just emigrating from Sudan or Niger republic. So it is now news to u that IBB mismanaged 12.5 Billion oil windfalls between 1985-1993?

This is hardly about "championing" ethnicity. Its about maintaining a delicate and fragile balance of power. With that balance skewed in a democratic dispensation, we stand no chance of developing as a nation. America is selling $60 billion worth of arms to Saudi, i read this yesterday, but the reason is (according to America) that the sale is to achieve the objective of maintaining the "balance of power" in the middle east. See how important "balance" is?
The perceived imbalance of power was what partly informed Ojukwu's decision to secede. It can cause wars, political friction and over heated polity. Care must be taken to preserve this balance.
So in your own definition of power balance a minority like GEJ has no right to constitutionally approved 4 years out of 50 years existence of the Nation? But the North should have more of the already gulped 38 years ? U are a big joke

PoliticsRe: Can Jonathan Win The Presidential Election Without Rigging? by Solomon227(m): 1:17pm On Sep 14, 2010
@ na_so
Nice analysis, but you seem not to understand that the CPC structure is at present very weak and that will be buhari's undoing in the general elections.

Forget story when GEJ wins the PDP ticket , the north will wisely not go all out agaisnt him as they are trying to make us believe now, becuase first there is nothing like a united north, secondly going all out and still loosing to GEJ would badly bruise their political ego and GEJ will be free to run for a second term without recourse to them, so what I see is that there will be a seeming political truce with the usual "no victor no vanquished" stori stori.

The order of the elections is also very strategically arranged to favour GEJ as the PDP men seeking elective office will be forced to work for GEJ , albeit reluctantly just to save their political careers.
GEJ is increasingly looking good to pick PDP ticket once d Northern elites can b assured he will only be there for 4 years only but I can bet u that Buhari anyday anytime remains a crowd-puller among d talakawas.

If votes are counted CPC weakness or not most non-lettered northerners will line up behind Buhari from Sokoto to Maidiguri. He never had money wen his party won 9 states and even 'captured' some states from PDP. Buhari is not only a fulani but a very popular one among the poor.

And combined with some protest votes from those loosing out from PDP primaries Buhari will be mustering at least 70% of the total northern votes against GEJ. However I dont see PDP allowing this number seeing the light of the day anyway.

GEJ will also garner well over 70% of the souther votes and even if GEJ wanted a free/fair election the likes of OBJ, Danjuma, Solomon lar etc will rewrite the results and Buhari will b back in court for another four years

These are my takes
1. I dont believe GEJ had d right leadership dexterity that can help of out of d mess we are in Nigeria now but if u left me in a room with IBB for 2 minutes one of us will be dead when u come back
2. GEJ will automatically experience protest votes from a sizeable part of the North once he picks PDP ticket. IBB, Atiku and their friends will want to even up by mobilizing against him(meaning aligning with Buhari against their utmost wishes).
3. Buhari has been playing smart by not jumping on IBB-Atiku organised Zoning campaign because IBB is only trying to use them to achieve his target. Buhari will gain from PDP obviuos debacle.
4. Buhari major problem is dat IBB and Atiku and other thieves may be begged by OBJ, Abdussalam, Danjuma and co to allow a Naija Delta boy enjoy just four years and they will be reminded what Buhari will do to them if they supported him (Buhari will take every1 to d dry cleaner including OBJ).
5. If votes are counted I do not see GEJ winning Buhari hands down or vice-versa.
6. A rerun may be rigged (naturally) in GEJ favour because most thieves (IBB,OBJ,Odilli, Atiku etc) cant afford to see Buhari sitting on their case

IBB was smart enof to choose a Rivers igbo to split the eastern Niger delta Rivers  and his wife is from ASaba so by marriage delta north will vote him ,

the only thing remaining of south south is bayelsa of 1.5 million people and cross river, defnitely Akwa igbo will go the igbo way ,

in summary for the south South

IBB will get 3 states Akwa_igbo , Rivers, Delta (Anioma and Urhobo)

GEJ will get 2 states Bayelsa, Cross River

Edo will be indecisive so many factors Anenih , Odemudia, Oshiomole, akhigbe,

for the South East

IBB will get 2 Anambra, Enugu  ,
GEJ will get 3  Abia , Ebonyi, imo

Imo will be a tough battle (odili's wife is from imo)

North Central

IBB      3 Niger, Kogi, Nassarawa
GEJ      3 Benue ,Plateau (anti fulani/hausa), Kwara (yoruba factor),Abuja Fct

North East

IBB    4 Gombe, Bauchi, Borno,Yobe
GEJ    1  Taraba ,

North West

IBB   6 Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kano, Katsina, Jigawa

GEJ   2 Kaduna

south West

GEJ  6 lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti

Total

IBB   18 states

GEJ   18 states

Kaduna , Adamawa, Edo will be states to watch out for this 2011

The problem really is not the election , who wins or who loses , the problem is what happens after the election.

We are likely to have a run off election which will lead to very serious conflagerations
Your analyses are flawed
1. You need to analyse their individual chances in the PDP primaries (in fact that is d only thing that matters to both of them now) before u talk of getting votes based on ethnic, marital, or tribal affiliations or identifications.
2. The PDP presidential primaries has a limited and easily manipulated number of delegates
3. Im sorry to tell u diz the PDP primary will be manipulated to favour GEJ gudging by events in recent weeks
4. With OBJ the BoT chairman wit GEJ, PDP NEC selected by GEJ and these people will b d one conducting the primary your guess is as good as mine
PoliticsRe: Babangida Picks Odili As Running Mate by Solomon227(m): 11:34am On Sep 14, 2010
One can look at this pair or team from several angles but I'll choose two for now:

1. IBB + Odili = Empty National Treasury after their tenure - We have the $12 b Gulf War oil windfall as example for IBB while Odili stole Rivers State dry for 9 years.

2. IBB + Odili = Untimely death to all opposition figures - Dele Giwa and the Military Hercules 30 plane crash in Lagos destroying a generation of middle level officers mostly from a particular region of this country are shinning examples for IBB while the death of Harry Marshal, A. K. Dokubo are just a few examples for Odili.

The moment it becomes clear that the duo are looking good at clinching the presidency, we should just go and be singing dirges for Nigeria for the end would have come for the nation.

Nigeria is a plural country, so is America. But the fact is democracy is a game of numbers and majority counts for something. Minorities typically have less say, thats a fact of life. The single largest majority in Nigeria is the Hausa-Fulani. The three majorities in the entire country are wazobia. So these people will/should have more of a say in how things are done.
Shut up and reason, stop comparing US to Nigeria

US has a system dat can hardly work in Nigeria where d likes of IBB will publicly state since the south controls economic power the North should control political power.

Clinton was Arkansa's governor befor vying for presidency (Arkansa,s to California 4 instance is like Bayelsa to kano). Obama can also be likened to a minority from small Hawaii Island and popularly elected as a president to lead your so called majority.

Thre is nothing like majority rule in the US as electorability of a candidate is determined by his antecedents, charisma and suitability of his/her policies to the electorates and  has little or nothing to do with where u are coming from.

GEJ CANT WIN WITHOUT RIGGING.
Your calculation is very patronising. You speak for the south East as if u are the "Eze Gburugburu". Elections in Nigeria have been won without the SW in the past so u can as well leave them out of the equation. The North and south east is where the whole stake lies. And for some reason, maybe, the south East might choose to dance with the North. Afterall, the devil we know is better than the angel we dont know.

I think this election is for Buhari if he dares.
On behalf of me and my family I want to sincerely thank u for this great honour bestowed on me as the new Eze Gburugburu I of the whole Ndigboland grin grin grin grin grin

SW votes are critical in this situation because none of their kiths and kins is contesting and more dan ever they look set to put 100% votes against IBB that explains why IBB wont stop attempting relaunching his campaigns there again and again.

Buhari case is 4 general election, and for now we are focussing on PDP primaries which will give us signs of things to come if the general elections will be free/fair or not.

Do d calculations yourself: As long as IBB is still in d race GEJ will get a bloc vote from 6 SW states, inspite of the frictions in the SS the 6 states are in pockets, the SE votes will be split into (he has Abia, Anambra and Imo already). In d North by defaults he commands d votes of Plateau, Benue, Borno, Kogi, Kaduna, Bauchi, Taraba, FCT, while he has a good chance of making inroads into other swing states b/4 the dice is caste.
