Nsiman:I have woken up Nsiman. I used to be a die-hard supporter of GEJ but he has shown he lacks the wherewithal and characters to turn a bad situation into a good one. I hate killing GEJ tolerate killing. I hate corruption, GEJ encourages it. I like honesty, GEJ is consistently inconsistent. I like actions that bring results GEJ is . i want an economically stable and strong Naija GEJ is importing dust-bin from UK. I want my President to be treated with respect globally, I feel uncomfortable whenever I see GEJ on CNN or BBC interviews. Like the Arabians that love their country more than personal or ethnic gains I want to see my country led by a leader of high integrity and focus. I want a leader I can be proud of anywhere I am in the world. I want a leader that will send shiver down the spines of looters in Govt. A leader that will not think twice before punishing a killer appropriately. GEJ is not fit to be a leader. Vote wisely Buhari/Bakare 2011for the future of our children |
marvix:We are not xpecting him to treat himself we are just wondering why he needs 3 doctors and why there are up to 6 Doctors serving 3 people living and working in the same premises. GEJ tolerates killing, he encourages corruption, he is helping criminals everyday. This is not the kind of young man we have been clamouring for to lead this nation out of the woods. Vote Buhari/Bakare 2011for the future of our children |
rasputinn:Hah bruv. I used to think like you before. Countering all "crazy" speculations from NEXT and SR about GEJ actions. There was a particular one when they claimed he imported dust-bin from UK. I took the pain to investigate with a Nigerian friend that works where he he is the know of all imported materials from Europe into Naija by Govt and para status. GEJ has given freedom to a killer: Folarin to get votes. He has celebrated looters (OBJ and OGD) making sure he keeps all of them in his camp for April election. He has kept mum as Ohakim disrespectfully scatter a peaceful meeting of some Igbo leaders. He has absolved criminals of wrongdoing even when they had claimed responsibilty in the Abuja bombing saga. So how difficult will it be for a man of this character to help another thief (Ibori) if that will mean one more vote. For all GEJ cares honesty, reasons, and decorum can be thrown to the dogs just for him to win the presidential election. |
This my man self. Just when you are thinking he has taken one step forward your attention will be drawn to the 100 steps he had taken backward. All news coming from GEJ stable have shown he lacks the xter and capacity to make any meaningful positive change in the Nigeria polity. Please vote for change Vote Buhari/Bakare 2011for the future of our children |
againstGEJ:Yah we think about the presidential candidate because we know what we actually practise in Nigeria is a Unitary Govt where the central government controls and dictate what happens down the ladder to the ward level. Buhari has not been lossing the election like u posited, OBJ/PDP have only being rigging their ways through. If only legally-caste votes had been counted in those elections Buhari would at least succeeded in getting a re-run election in 1 of d contests. But this time around those of us who want genuine positive change in our fatherland will do everything to have Jonathan and his friends out of the seat of power in May. |
More often than not people normally behave the same way in future like they have done in the past. Based on this: Goodluck presidency will give immunity to looters like OBJ and OGD, killers like Folarin will be made minister. Nigeria might start importing pure-water from UK. It is going to be a looting competition. Break-fast in ASO ROCK will cost 150 million per day. All criminals that have looted this nation blind will be honored with medals in Aso Rock amidst pumps and pageantry. Millions will be spent on world tours bringing nothing but embarrassing interviews on CNN and BBC. Buhari presidency will make OBJ,IBB, OGD, Odili, Turaki etc uncomfortable. No time for world tour without purpose. Most likely going to change his mind and bring all past looters to book. He will not invest 16 Billion Naira in d power sector without result and keep quiet. Will be respected by most people for almost always being upright and above board. Ribadu presidency will bring radical changes in the polity though some may be unnecessary. He will most probably go after all the thieves including his benefactors like OBJ and Tinibu. I have the feeling he is going to spend more time putting looters behind the bars than tackling economic development. I prefer Ribadu but my vote is for Buhari to add to the millions that will kick GEJ and PDP hegemony out of Nigeria for once in donkey years. BUHARI/BAKARE 2011for the future of our children |
This Daniel guy is high on something. Wetin concern us if a bigger thief scam a smaller thief? Please our concern is April when GEJ will be making OGD a minister and OBJ a special ambassador. My people please let us set aside religion bigotry and tribalism vote GEJ and PDP out. A vote for GEJ has been confirmed as a vote for d biggest looters and veteran killers in the land. My man GEJ is sacrificing the hopes of over 1 million Nigerians to satisfy looters/killers like OBJ, OGD, Folarin etc. Cast your vote for Buhari for the future of your children |
Ma_J_Blige:Somebody please call this bruv to order ooo. I have no doubt in my mind who you are but you are taking this too far. We all on NL often claim to represent a new generation of educated Nigerians seeking d best leadership for our motherland. GEJ has had enough opportunity to convince all he is d best choice but contributions here on NL have shown most young Nigerians are not convinced of his aptitude to bring us out of the woods. Mr Ma_J_Blige, put ethnic sentiments aside, forget what you are going to gain individually. Please search your heart of heart, think about the future of your children and children' children. Do you honestly believe GEJ is going to make a positive impact towards speedy, genuine, and focussed development of this country? |
While diz guy has committed a nasty crime that normally bring shame to Nigerians outside Nigeria shore, however, there is something "unique" in his act. e-Crimes like this are not easy to pull-off especially from an off-shore base (Naija 4 dat matter). FBI will not stop until they "download" his brain content. If he could do it, they know there are many other guys out there in Naija or other places that are doing it or planning to do it. Imagine this guy has got an intelligent brain to write codes, infusing them into a secured website to manipulate payrolls and went on to move dat kind sum of money. I wish Naija, one day, will get to a level where our talents will be harnessed only for positive impacts on our motherland and and d world at large. |
Vatsa radiates "true love" and confidence and must have held the Evil 1 in a special place in his heart. On d other hand Maradona looks selfish and his evil eyes are beaming with concealed evils. |
byrron:Cough! cough! Bros diz Feradull comments no suppose vex u like diz o. Judging from your number of posts u suppose know say ferari na Kassim Afegbua and his only source of income na IBB Holdings. I pity ferari sha, after becoming redundant, diz kind abuse wey u just rain on him fit make him take to d rope |
If u are idle and looking for head-ache just open an argument with Kobojunkie. However, I will be standing with him/her on this Tinubu saga. Most of his/her questions and submissions on this discuss are relevant. While I like Tinubu for standing-up against PDP epidemic and most-importantly his dexterity in dealing with political "foes", I also know he is not innocent of heavy public looting. Tinubu, at one time or the other, has had frictions with Afikuyomi, Oshiomole, Ribadu, Ogunlewe, Fashola, Ganiyu Solomon, Lam etc but he has consistently managed to mend fence with these people and contributed to their political growth. I want to link-up this neo-Tinubu saga with the impending April presidential election. GEJ and Jega have confirmed my premonition with the handling of the Delta re-run election. Like I always predict GEJ (fairly and "Iwully" will simply walk-over Atiku at the PDP primaries in d coming days. He has wisely discovered his biggest problem now is Buhari. If I am right in my mind-reading game, GEJ has designed a rigging model out of Delta re-run election (which I am not totally against). I lived in Delta state in the first election between Ogboru and Ibori. I have studied the results posted by INEC L.G.A by L.G.A and compared with my expectations and real-live election monitoring by SR and individuals and one thing is clear. The most-populated L.G.As (which are mainly Urhobos) have incredibly low votes turnovers while the sparsely-populated L.G.A interestingly produced much higher votes. Ogboru strong bases witnessed ballot snatching, scarcity of ballots, instigated violence while his weak bases had a field day. Somehow this model worked: "Strengthen your Strength, Attack their Strength". At the end of the day d losers will have more difficulty to prove their cases at d court as this model has improved on Iwu's rigging model. Back to Tinubu. Tinubu is a big leverage to Buhari's ascendancy to Aso Rock. A signed deal between Tinubu ACN and Buhari means rigging the election becoming very difficult for PDP and its new rigging model. While GEJ/PDP have no problem with Ribadu flying d ACN's flag they cannot afford to see Buhari and Tinubu sharing the same podium for presidential rally. I am happy my man (GEJ) is finally using his head, albeit, wrongfully. All have sinned and come short of His Glory, framing-up Tinubu for a political goal is like cooking Indomie. And quote me anywhere nothing will happen (afterall only Ogun, Lagos and Oyo states in SW will be going into Govnorship election now). So guys watch-out for the implementation of the new PDP rigging model in your L.G.A . Peace-out! |
@ OP :Can u add a poll to this thread please and possibly edit the title if need b @ all posters. Before you support or oppose Buhari please take another critical look at all the options presented us. Even a Naija goat now know we have 3 contestants, in fact, no pretenders like we used to have in the past. GEJ will most likely fairly/"iwully" rig Atiku out of d PDP ticket. GEJ is d one to blame if GEJ lost this election but should be eulogized he is brave enough to make d contest and results free and fair. GEJ has refused to lift d spirits of several fans like me who were looking forward to him to be all we have attributed to him. He boasts of minimum corruption records for a person of his political status. We believed he is young, well-educated and full of vitality and he's the perfect answer to our prayers of A New Dawn. He is from the core Niger Delta the zone that has sustained the economy of the country for donkey years. Instead of my man to seize d moment and capitalise on our sentiments, he practically forgot he had the Presidential power to use. If GEJ, on assumption of office, had said a capital NO to further looting, appointed disciplined and result-oriented ministers/advisers, and embarked on radical fixing of d most important problem in Naija- Power supply GEJ would not have turned fans like me into die-hard and "rigging" d election wont be as hard as I foresee now. I watched with despair as my man started releasing 2 reports everyday to all incidents like some kid. He failed to assert his authority on a party the he is d "Spiritual Head". GEJ almost brought tears to my eyes when I confirmed he actually imported dust-bins from UK. I have been, closely, following GEJ spending and I feel sad to confirm the Govt is not only reckless but without any plans. How will my man keep quiet and watch-on as Ogun PDP, Enugu PDP, Oyo PDP .,.,., cases escalate under his nose? For God sake GEJ is d PDP leader and CIC of Naija. Buhari on the other hand is my least favourite among the 3 contenders but I WILL VOTE 4, CAMPAIGN 4 HIM and in fact PRAY 4 HIM. With little funding this man command an incredible respect and loyalty across his base-the North. I know he is not a firebrand like d Fasholas, Utomi, name them but he has never hidden his inclination to all issues. Buhari has shown he doesnt like reckless spending and uncontrolled looting like we are presently witnessing with my man. He carves a stern muslim (which I hate so much) but if a biggotry Buhari is not going to continue with d rubbish OBJ started he has won himself a voluntary campaigner. By my estimate if d presidential election is free/fair between GEJ, Buhari and Ribadu, Buhari will comfortably corner more than 80% of the 19 Northern states (I am ready to stake a bet). GEJ will only manage to win 80% in the ND states with a couple of SE states. The SW has never put any1 in doubt where 100% of their votes are going into come April. Even if Buharis northern votes are not constitutionally-enough to win him d election out rightly a re-run will simply be between GEJ and Buhari/ACN. |
I really want to thank God d presidential election, in Naija, was not held like 2 months ago I would have voted for GEJ. I have strong reservations for Buhari but my vote for Ribadu might just end up a waste. Today I join in pledging my vote for Buhari. In fact I am ready to start campaigning for him online, offline, throughline and real-live. Inspite of my personal challenges I have been passionately praying for GEJ to turn-out A NEW ERA but he has convinced me beyond doubt he is not well-equipped to lead a "sinking nation" like Naija out of d blues. |
Depilot:I still cant believe diz same Depilot dat will defend any act of corruption on NL wit his/her live is now "unsupporting" Atiku (d most corrupt of the leading contestants). I am not buying your poo yet bcause u might just be one of IBB's foot-soldjas (on a plan-B) infiltrating our discuss to secure IBB's freedom from future probes. Ivynwa:Your question is a very expensive 1 ooo. Wetin we wan do na? We can only vote for people who ave come out to contest now and 4 now it seems only 3 are leading contenders and we are weighing their strengths and weaknesses. On a lighter side our case is not a totally hopeless 1 compared to US for instance. Senator McCain was Buharis age-mate when he contested with 47 yr-old Obama. Like Buhari, McCain has served his nation military for years before becoming his state's senator. Left to pick from GEJ, Buhari and Ribadu we can only judge them by what they have done in the past in discharging duties assigned to them. If Buhari's health is sound, nobody should use his age as a discrimination against him. Afterall an ageing performing President is 100 folds better than a young, educated but disappointing Bankole. |
Big B1: The Devil's agent testing water 4 d Boss. Watch out guys IBB next move will be to start sending unsolicited funds to Buhari's campaign to secure his future protection. IBB has been watching, closely, as events unfold and must have envisaged d possibility of Buhari' and ACN' accord winning. I hope if Buhari or Ribadu is winning none will be taking anything from IBB D DEMON! Away from the 4gotten Evil-IBB. GEJ (fairly or otherwise) will pick PDP ticket and we will be presented with GEJ, Buhari and Ribadu's options. Unfortunately, Ribadu (with his own lapses) is my first choice anyday anytime but he stands d least chances, circumstantially, among the 3 contestants. Ribadu's fans are understandably educated youths tired of d systemic rots in the polity but they are just less than 10% of d Naija voting population. Buhari on d other hand controls an incredible grassroot supports across the entire length of the Northern half of Naija. There is a clear indication that a deal is going to be struck with ACN very soon which means Ribadu forced to support Buhari or decamp to another party to contest. Like most posters, I have reservations for Buhari. Most reservations about Buhari bother on his flexibilities to accommodate other beliefs, ideas, and in fact religion. But we have found ourselves in a situation where we only hav to choose d least evil. And d way things are looking we either vote in Buhari (to add up to norther votes) or allow GEJ to continue. |
Well deserved. Now dat Soyinka is retiring, Ojukwu dying, OBJ a Fayoshe's scumbag we need younger people to cont d struggle |
gbengapro:@ d OP Why are u making this a big news? Every Lagosian that has been monitoring d political map of Lagos state shud know that this area is one of the few strongholds PDP has tenaciously held on to since 1999. ACN is too arrogant, complacence, loud-mouthed, and the owner of the party-Tinubu, too dictatorial. Can you belief that up till now, the party doesn't have gov candidates, and for other positions. The dummies including Fashola, are all waiting for Baba Tinubu to pronounce them as candidates. Yah we know (at least we ave seen a bit of their tendencies in Fashola and Oshiomole). We want out wit PDP for now until ACN proves u right. |
@ rhymz rhymz:Bros dont get so worked-up on Hon Patricks lingo. The fact that u yourself is almost always discussing his speeches should tell u d man is a force to reckon with in our strange polity. Hon. Patrick stands and contributions @ d lower house have shown he will be a "good man" if our system was much better than it is now. He has employed his 'complicated use of English language' as a weapon to influence legislative decisions and has incurred the anger of his colleagues for voicing people's minds. Some of u that dont like him then who do u like? He is not perfect, we his admirers know dat but he is arguably the most popular lawmaker in the NASS. |
Just to share my personal experience on this issue to answer some salient questions that have been asked here. If the University and Okonjo have the legal/moral powers to stop the students from taking job overseas? Yes they do. If the students had signed an agreement with the authority prior to the award of scholarship. Like Duerulu has pointed out, I am also close to many PTDF scholars in UK who have picked up jobs with many companies in UK and have had to get "go-ahead" letters from their sponsors before they could apply for work permits. It is however noteworthy to mention that d PTDF scholars never signed any undertakings with PTDF like these graduands in question yet they need them to agree b/4 they can continue their career in UK. On a personal xperience, my MSc was sponsored by a coy but I picked a job with another company and had to secure a letter from my sponsors to be free. If recommendations and references (from former Teachers or employers) are required to get jobs abroad? Again the answer is a BIG YES especially when you are hinging your application on "the new certificate" or/and former experience. I was lucky to attend a highly ranked University in UK and there were so many companies visiting my department to recruit and I was able to attend several interviews and assessment centres. I ended up with 2 offers but not until I supplied my references in my former company in Naija and from my Professor in my new University. On if these guys are going to rot away if not allowed to seek jobs overseas? I dont believe this is true. Programmes like this are usually well designed, admitting only carefully and painstakingly selected talented candidates, with world-class facilities, tools and softwares as used in the targeted industries. A similar example is the IFP school for oil industry professionals in Port-Harcourt. The companies that put in their resources into these programme have operations spreading across Africa and will most likely recruit most,if not all, of them. If Okonjo is unfair and preventing the candidates from enjoying the foreign/greener pastures? May be there used to be greener pastures in UK, US and d rest but I can authoritavely tell u the pastures are all, perhaps, brown now. It is becoming increasingly difficult to get job in UK as a non-European. The new Govt in power is doing everything possible to force their citizens, who were hitherto living on social programmes, back to work by cutting down and in some cases totally removing these benefits. They have placed caps on number of immigrants that can come and work in UK to ensure their citizens pick these jobs as they are shaking them into job live. Quote me anywhere it is now ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to get a job in UK without undergoing any kind of education/training here. As a matter of fact many students who have invested 1000s of pounds in UK education wit d hope of staying back and work in UK wil be denied once the cap figure is attained not to talk of AUST trained candidates. I have little experience of US system but I remember when Obama and his party lost the mid-term elections a couple of months ago the next day he was in India practically/literarily begging for jobs for Americans. The US mid-term election was just about "we need jobs" so dont be surprised when US starts tightening up her laws on immigration of workers into the territory. Naija is a great place to work with your friends and family around but there are a number of things we can really improve on. Insecurity and power supply are the greatest problems but its crazy to realise a scenario like this is possible: manliness, Tom and Harry graduated from Unilag Chemical engineering in 2005 and they all served in 2006. Tom was lucky to get a teaching job in Jan 2007 going home with N15,000 every month and he now goes home with N18,000 in 2010. Harry graduated with a 1st class and got his dream job with an engineering firm,in Nov 2008, wit an initial start-up of N75,000 but now goes home with N120,000. manliness though graduated with 2:2 but his folks are well-connected and got into Mobil in Dec 2007 with N550,000 per month and now goes home with N750,000/month with profit sharing (runing into 100s of thousands) at the end of every calender year. |
Sorry who is IBB again? Is he a contestant or a corpse? Abeg we av put IBB where he belongs-History Museum |
Environer:Nwane The allegation emanated from the US,blown-up by SR and NEXT and Anty Dora finally cataflame it. I normally dont indulge in tribalism. U cant really blame any particular group 4 critisizing him. From all discussions I hav been involved since diz case, most people (SE and SW tribalists) admit he is deserved of honours but disagree on some of his claims. And for SR. Every1 knows Sowore is a wounded lion without any tribal or ethnic affiliations. In fact he attacks any nigerian (most times excessivelly), irrespective of where he/she is from. And Nwane Anty Dora is Igbo and shuld also be critized for not standing with her own. I hav chosen to monitor what d Americans are saying about him because the whole issue started from them. |
Pussyhunter:seriously i cant help u but your username just attracts my attention. but i dont tink any of d candidates has got what u hunt except Mrs Jubril Aminu |
People dat want Uduaghan out shuld not celebrate yet cos from d precepts PDP cannot change him now and I dont know how diz judgement will b a victory for Clarke's PDP as some are insinuating. Is Clarke going to endorse an AC or DPP candidate to finally remove Uduaghna? The next 3 months are going to b as exciting as GEJ vs d Ciroma's North in Delta state. |
I said it! Becomerich is a virus and spreading so fast |
Hah Atiku don finally get internet soldiers. We will come back for u Krendo and friends let's settle Uduaghan case first |
U guys shuld be careful what u ask for. Some1 is letting your voice and votes count u are shouting he is weak. Ok make una wait and see he would soon heed your calls for him to b strong like OBJ and IBB. |
babaearly:Babaearly are u sure yor head stil dey ontop yor neck? Have u heard anybody mention Demon or Devil b/4 u carry your gutter post come here. Ok IBB has been buried and forgotten in case u dont know ooo. And dont ever ever mention that name on this forum again or else,.,.,. bankylan:Bruv do u hav Angels we can vote for? It is easy 4 all of us to be sermonising on who is holy and who is hollow but we have, sadly, realised what options we have and just trying to gather d worst and make the best out of what we have. As u can see, we are analysing and watching them closely with d hope of settling for the least dangerous, least unresourceful and least corrupt. If wishes were horses every1 of us knows who we want in Aso Rock. So Bruv if u cant get us an Angel that will win an election in Nigeria, it is better u join us in pragmatically installing the best of d "business men" as u u will like to call them. |
Chai Ibori dynasty has finally been exterminated. |
deols:I used desperate because the man doesnt seem to have recorded any good impression as a public servant and culd as well be ignored for good. And again he is not a front runner else I wuld have encouraged and joined up to dig out his silliness. |
. i want an economically stable and strong Naija GEJ is importing dust-bin from UK. I want my President to be treated with respect globally, I feel uncomfortable whenever I see GEJ on CNN or BBC interviews.
will simply walk-over Atiku at the PDP primaries in d coming days.
