echeoluchi: You are not required at the point of registration on EE to forward your language ability test resut, but you'd need to fill in the test details and result when registering. |

chidike: You will need to get a proper letter of employment with Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) which your proposed employer in Canada must obtain before you are hired. A "provisional letter of employment will not suffice in this regard. Approach your employer to see the possibility of LMIA,after then can you say if this employment will increase your chance of receiving an ITA. |

For everyone who has got an interview with the Accra Visa Office this week, especially the 2013 applicants,I wish you the very best of luck! The key is to remain calm and resolute,be sincere in your response to questions and be very fast in asking yourself the reason/motive behind every question put forward by the case review analyst. Run through copies of the documents submitted, check the chronology of event, master the details you have in your Schedule A form - IMM5669. You will succeed! 2 Likes |

JesusDWay: The emphasis is on the bold: "You have learned wrongly most probably from a wrong source. Your assessment is arrived at using a number of yardsticks. Most Nigerian educational qualifications have been assessed to be equivalent to Canadian qualifications by almost all the recognised/authorised assessing bodies." Again, this was his statement with emphasis on the bold : resourse: Educational assessment is not a rubber stamp for accepting ALL educational qualifications as equivalent to Canadian educational qualifications. It is obvious that the educational standard of different countries and educational institutions varies and are put into consideration in the process of assessment hence the need for the evaluation in the first place. Even in Asia (India and The Philippines) most of the educational qualifications have been adjudged to be equivalent to that of Canada. Hence, the large number of immigrants to Canada from this region. |

cerezo: Judging from past experience, you need to provide exactly what was requested in the email sent to you. Do not add or remove from it otherwise you might end up delaying the processing of your application. No need to providing all the items listed in your post so long as they have not be explicitly requested. By CIC Accra Visa Office standard, * Updated the Schedule A: Background/Declaration [IMM 0008 SCHEDULE A] = IMM5669E - Schedule A forms. |

ozzy2: As a lecturer, there's no province where your profession is not both lucrative and rewarding. The onus lies on you to consider other important factors such as the tax system in the province, the immediate/delayed access to medicare, the minimum wage, cost of living, proximity to other communities or people of Nigerian community, family life, etc. You can research each province and make a conclusion. In any case, you can always move from one province to another once you secure a permanent residence. As I suppose you and your spouse attended different universities and probably studied different courses with different grade and year of graduation,it is logical to have the educational credentials assessment done separately. Unfortunately, what God has joined together, the assessment bodies can temporarily put asunder when it comes to educational credential assessment. Again, there's no cost saving advantage (if you are thinking in this direction) to have your credentials done jointly. Hence, it is advisable to have the educational credentials assessment done separately. |

azeezbaba: Congratulations! I am particularly happy as it doesn't appear you were asked to produce an updated bank statement despite your providing an RSA statement. You need to process the international passport of your new born baby ASAP. In the meantime, please send a CSE to the visa office informing them of the new born baby. Between when they'd respond to you and when you'd forward documents to be requested by the visa office, you would have processed the passport for your baby. You should also go ahead for your medical examination as soon as possible within the time frame given. For police clearance certificate, you cannot include photocopies. It must be original PCC. Do not ignore the request as this form an important premises with which your application will be processed. You can process your PCC even when you are outside Nigeria. All you need do is to complete the biometric data/finger print form for PCC and send it to a trusted person in Nigeria who would process and probably forward the document (including a copy of your bio data page and photograph) directly to your visa office. 2 Likes |

incaslims: British Columbia,Saskatchewan,Nova Scotia,Newfoundland, even Ontario all have a high degree of success for professionals in the Agricultural industry but for the purpose of the possibility of being sponsored for immigration,I would advise you consider the first 3 provinces listed above in that order. 1 Like |

incaslims: I doubt if there's any government in any part of the world that would make available accommodation or book hotel or provide immediate access to welfare. I must say Canada is magnanimous to even let immigrants gain access to some facilities in some of the provinces once they land. This is the more reason you have as part of the requirements for the issuance of a PRV, the need for the applicant to show he/she has sufficient fund to take care of him/herself and his family. You can always have access to accommodation, either temporary or permanent so long as you have the required fund by making arrangement prior to your departure from your country. |

incaslims: It is not a must to know someone under EE. It used to be advantageous as you earn extra 5 points under the old FSWP. I do not under the part where you wrote "...is there provision that the government has already made for immigrants irrespective of the province you choose to live.." With Agriculture, you stand a good chance and have a high rate of success. |

Bcolah: That's a near excellent result you have there! You don't have any need to re-write the test, this is just enough. I would have advised you come to Ontario but for the fact that the province may limit your ability to be nominated by other provinces/territories who would be in a better position to nominate you. Certification matters but what matters most is a Canadian experience which most Canadian employers value the most. That is not to say professional certifications are not recognized especially when they can be easily converted to your province of destination equivalency. 2 Likes |

Bcolah: 1. You can improve your CRS with an excellent IELTS result - For instance, having 8.0 in each language abilities. 2. Including the ECA result and language test result of the accompanying spouse can also improve the CRS. 3.Securing nomination from provinces/territories on EE. It is not all provinces/territories that insist on you having a job offer. Some province select directly from the EE pool once you select the province/territory as your place of intended destination 4. In the long run,you can get a higher educational qualification as the higher your educational qualification, the higher your chance of securing a higher CRS. |

brightooooo: @brightooooo, you need to learn how to articulate your thought. I have helped you understand the direction you should be asking questions. I have even asked for the source of the "visa type/class". I can not answer questions I know nothing about. You seem to have your mind set at something which I do not understand. So for the umpteenth time,I am going to ask again: 1.What exactly do you want? 2. Do you have a particular class of visa you intend applying for? 3. What steps have you taken to actualize your intention to "go to Canada"? 4. What is your chosen occupation? 5. What educational qualifications do you have? 6.Do you know about IELTS,if so,have you written the test? 7. Do you know anything about educational credentials assessment (ECA)? 8. Do you know about Express Entry? 9. Have you approached any province/territory in Canada or possibility of sponsorship? 10. Have you approached any professional body in your chosen profession about the possibility of gaining practising licence? 11.How old are you or better still, what is your age range? 12. How much do you know about "going to Canada to stay and work"? Your responses to the above will help anyone respond appropriately to you. 1 Like 1 Share |

shopaker: CRS - Comprehensive Ranking System which details your rank in the pool (score point) pointing to the possibility of your being selected. ITA - Invitation to Apply - This is an invite sent to you should your application be selected when your CRS is exactly or above the CRS score of lowest-ranked candidate invited. |

shopaker: The EE is not difficult. You should do more on focusing your attention on improving your CRS than applying for jobs. You can continue applying for jobs as you might get lucky but your attention should shift to improving your total score point for possible ITA. |

benik: If you have your PER,it is not advisable to register under EE. This might slow down the processing of your current application. Except you have doubt about your current application under FSWP,please do not register under EE. If you have reason{s}to register under EE despite your current application, please provide your UCI. |

brightooooo: Apologies for the oversight. However, your question isn't clear enough. Are you looking to register in your chosen occupation? Do you have a job offer, hence your question about knowing which visa class/category to apply for? Are you looking to further your education in Canada? Please be explicit. |

verrady: It depends on your intended occupation when you get to Canada. You might need to approach the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Canada of your intended province for details. However,it is not a yardstick for concluding on your success in Canada bit of course it will add value to your net worth as a professional accountant. |
Travel / Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by solomonwis(m): 9:42am On Mar 24, 2015 |
brightooooo: First, you have to make up your mind as to the province you intend to settle. You have to gather as much information as possible regarding your intended province putting factors such as immediate/delayed access to health facilities, the tax system, the unemployment rate, the cost of living vis a vis your settlement fund, etc. These factors are to be determined by you/ your family as so many things go into it. Your plan should be tailor-made. I should let you know that for each province, there are different bodies responsible for the issuance of practicing licenses. Hence, it is difficult though not impossible to have universal certification (with exception of few occupations/professions). When you make up your mind about the province you intend to live, you can then channel your resources towards getting certified in your chosen profession in that field. This doesn't stop you from moving to another province should you decide to do so after some time. |
