zaliya: Hi all, 1.) I am the principal applicant. Please how do I fill out the travel dates on the supplementary info form for my hubby who just left for the UK for a PhD study. His visa is till 2018. He may not be visiting until 2015 April.
2.) what do I fill out for the part that says Immigration office for processing application.
Thank you 1.On the supplementary info form, you'd fill the date he traveled up until the day of his FINAL return. Please note,it is not the expiry date of the visa but the date of his final return. This may be the earlier of his visit before the expiration of the visa or the end of his program and subsequent return to the country of residence. 2.The processing office is Accra, if you are resident in Nigeria. |

Do you have a challenge with facing the reality of life?Is it so difficult to be honest and upright? Those who run here and there trying to get to finish line are never stars! Pple will still misrepresent if they want but they bear the brunt of d fall-outs if and when caught. So what are you insinuating? Ask people to present a larger than life picture in their bank statement and risk being banned? |

ferdimako: Nobody gives out ur bank details and transactions without ur consent. okejji: No body has the right to verify ur aacount without ur consent. You can ask a banker. The reason why they ask for statement of account is to study it carefully to ensure that you didnt borrow the money. Why ask you to provide bank statement of aact while they can just ask you for only ur acct number to verify. So they dont have the right to verify without ur consent. You really don't need to work in a bank to understand this simple logic....Bank information as supplied by applicants can be verified {It has been done before and can still be done}. Please do not create an impression in the mind of would-be applicants that they can submit anything as proof of fund because "Nobody gives out ur bank details and transactions without ur consent". Embassies do verify ALL the details supplied by applicants, bank statement/balance is no exception. |

unibadan: Thank you for your response.
What about my IELTS IELTS is still better, valid for 2 years. You can include a cover letter explaining the difference in the candidate ID on your result and the bio data page of your passport. You can't do the same when it comes to security/criminality check...You must not raise unnecessary suspicion as criminality/security check is at the heart of the immigration program of any country. |

unibadan: Hello House,
I did obtained my police clearance certificate from UK and Nigeria and my IELTS sometime July this month. I just renewed my international passport (due to the other one that will expire 6 months from now) which was a different one used for my police clearance certificates and IELTS.
Please people, what do i do ooooo. I need your helpsss
Thank you. It is better not to include the PCC now if the passport with which you obtained the PCC has changed/expired. You will succeed in raising suspicion as to your intention when it comes to background/criminality check if there are differences in your bio data page. It is either you obtain a new one (PCC) with the new passport or you don't include the old PCC as you might be asked to send in another one/or a more detailed security and Criminality check is carried out which might slow the processing pace of your application. It's a different ball game if you had submitted all your application with the old passport with the old PCC. |

rhiri: Maybe my question 1 wasn't clear. I need to know if I have to send all my qualifications and certificates from WAEC to B.Sc to CIC even though i'm claiming points for just the M.Sc qualification.
Thank you house. Appreciate the good work done here. Your question is well understood. No need adding WAEC, send the same documents you sent to the approved ECA agency. This is because your details will be verified with the agency and if you include documents that's not part of the assessment, they might begin another round of verification on the additional document (depending on the case officer). The idea is not to delay the processing of your application. All documents are subject to scrutiny by the case officer. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by solomonwis(op): 8:36am On Nov 20, 2014 |
HenryIX: 1. Yes, you will need to send your WAEC, BSC, MSC and ECA along with your application to CIC 2. If you don't have your transcript, no need to worry and delay, just send your credentials and ECA to CIC. That is misleading! You only need to send the same documents with which you obtained your ECA result, nothing more except you want a delay in your application. Note that your educational qualifications are also scrutinized/verified by CIC should the need arises. |

rhiri: Good morning house. I'm new to this forum. Just stumbled upon it yesterday. I was very happy to discover this helpful forum. I just decided to apply for the fswp and I need a few clarification. Please pardon me if this question has been asked over and over again....it's not possible to go through all the threads on this forum, though I tried, I couldn't.
I want to claim education points using my masters degree, because of the delays inherent in our Nigerian institutions, I decided....based on advise seen on this forum... to ignore sending my B.SC to WES for assessment to prevent delays. I need confirmation on the below. 1.) Though my B.SC will not be assessed by WES, do I still have to send it and my WEAC results along side my EAC for my M.SC. with my application to CIC, or just the EAC for my M.SC? 2.) I don't see anywhere on the instruction guide to get your institutions to send your transcripts directly to CIC... what I see now is to include copies of my certificates and transcripts with my application...please confirm this is the case
Thank you house. Awaiting a quick and favorable response. 1.No need sending your WAEC result for the assessment, your Msc will suffice in this regard. 2.Copies of transcripts are to be included ( by the applicant) if and where available as part of the documents to be forwarded to CIC. |

bakinswo: Hello house, I have submitted my application since last week of October, but I think I might have made a mistake on form IMM5406 (Additional Family Information). I need to understand if I am supposed to be the applicant in the form my spouse filled or she will be the applicant while I am spouse. Also since I have submitted, what options do I have in getting this corrected (I mean is there a way I can send the corrected form to Sydney) or do I have to wait till it is returned. Both you(the PA) and your spouse are supposed to fill a form each, with each person ticking applicant box (Your spouse ticks applicant in her own form even though she's not the PA and you do likewise as the PA). Even though this was an error (and this has been found to be a common error),it has not formed the basis for outright rejection,so relax and remain positive! |

Slya: Happy Sunday wonderful people. Its good to know that AVO is fired up now. Wish everyone here successful application.
Please seniors and everyone in the house, i need your input on this dilemma.
On the Schedule A form, question no. 6, sub-sectcion d; i answered yes during my initial submission to CIC. The details provided for the "yes" was that;- My spouse was refused US visitor visa in 2012 and was told she was not eligible to apply at this time. She was asked to apply after some time.
The issue now is, since i was also asked to update the Schedule A form in the MR mail, is it necessary to give further details like; I have also been refused visitor visa in 2011 because i did not go to the visa interview with the receipt for my child's delivery in the US. I was requested to come back with the receipt. The receipt was presented in 2012 and i was granted US visiting visa (2 years multiple entry) in 2012.
I initially did not include this details about myself since i have been granted visa after the said refusal. Pleassssssse house what do you guys think? Should i just leave it as it is with just the detail about my spouse. Or should i include my details as above? Thanks for your thoughts! Please state it as it is,if you were refused tick yes and provide explanation. This might be a bait by the VO as the information might have come to light during the background check. It doesn't harm your application in anyway if you tick yes,not minding the fact that you never did during your initial application. |

HenryIX: Thanks alot Solomonwis. Appreciate your response. As per 3. - I have the funds as an investment in Fixed deposit in the microfinance bank and I have the investment certificate. Will that be enough or do I need additional document? As per 4. - My evaluation has been completed and it was sent as at 15th of october. Though i requested by mail post but I expect to have gotten it by now. It is been 21 days now (15working days). The Investment in FD is acceptable, the inclusion of the investment certificate will also suffice. It is always risky with post mail, especially with NIPOST. As it is,you can only wait for the ECA result as there is no way to track the exact location. |

HenryIX: Halo guys,
I am sure alot of people would be in confused thoughts like I am concerning this Debit card/Credit Card/Demand Draft issue. I used my GTbank debit card to pay for my WES and there was no issue. I guess I can as well use it for CIC. But seeing the cases of people who used debit card and haven't been debited, I think Draft will be the answer. Now we are hearing that GTbank has suspended Draft sales.
1. Is Gtbank the only bank that one can purchase this kind of draft? Cos I spoke to my account officer in UBA and he said no problem raising it from UBA.
2. Form 5669 (Background/Declaration), under personal history requests one to account for personal history. I am a little confused. I have been in my present occupation since 16th Nov 2011. If I am to put the period, do I put 2011-11-16 as starting period and end period as today's date? or should I leave the end period blank?
3. Has anyone used a Microfinance Bank Fixed deposit investment letter for CIC and suceeded? Cos that's where I have my funds. N2.5m
4. Still awaiting my evaluation report from WES. It has been sent since 15th October. I haven't gotten it. Should I be worried?
5. Does anyone have any update on the applications that has been received? The one on the website hasn't been updated since early october. My NOC is 0111. I hope I still make am. 1.As banking has gone global, international transfers through demand draft should be a product of any bank that wants to compete favourably in the global market. You might need to put a call through or physically visit some of the banks to ascertain if they can raise draft payable in Canada. I want to believe most multinational banks in Nigeria should be able to do this. 2.You can put the period as at the date you started the employment up until the date your application was signed off. 3.If you have your fund in a Micro Finance Bank, you should endeavour to use the statement of this bank. Also, include a letter from the bank stating that you bank with them and have the stated amount in your account. You should also make arrangement if necessary to move this money to a commercial bank to give backing to the authenticity of the availability of this fund. 4.Depending on the speed of processing as stated on WES' website,it might be too early to worry about the processing now. 5.As I understand.application received as at July 15th,2014 are being attended to.I also understand that application packages received beyond this date are being given preliminary attention by the CIC central intake Office.Hopefully, there will be an update this week on the number of applications received. |

Please advise. shopaker: Thanks dams for your quick response, Am the principal and I have submitted with his details, that y I fill in the form that he is not ready to come now. So all info in my application is different from that of the passport.
Thanks Unfortunately, you already submitted your application before seeking for advice. I would have suggested you include an affidavit stating this mistake and stating the fact that you are already in the process of making rectification. As it is now,you can only wait and hope this does not form the basis for outright rejection of your application (Please note that an error/anomaly in one of the accompanying/non-accompanying dependents info/details will definitely affect the whole application). This might be seen as a wilful attempt at concealing/withholding information necessary to make a final decision on your application. If this error does not come to the attention of the VO and your application scales through, please make a correction of this mistake by either changing the passport or the birth certificate. Either ways, make sure there is an affidavit to explain the rationale for the change and forward to the Immigration office treating your application. |

scrollmeout: It is good to know that you still care. Well, to say i am worried or tense is a big understatement. I was hoping Solomonwis could also lend his voice to this big challenge i am facing, but it seems he has been busy on his project. A big thank you to Damkollins and the rest of the house for your responses thus far. Remember my application was received on June 30, 2014. but July 9 CC applicants are being debited. On a lighter note, Since my profession involves problem solving, i worked out a few scenarios so as to find a solution.
SCENARIO 1 Hotter NOCs 1112 were given attention so they could reach the cap faster. I soon realised however that other NOCs were still being charged including mine, albeit sparingly.
SCENARIO 2 I also thought my Debit card was the problem, but i since found out from my bank that no attempt has been made by CIC to charge it
SCENARIO 3 My application was misplaced. I used to DHL tracking number to track it and found that it was actually received but the name of the official who received it wasn't logged. I also found out that some applications with the same cases did not have problems.
SCENARIO 4 The recent shooting disrupted CIC activities hence the reason for the delay, but alas, they soon resumed to business as usual.
OTHER ACTIONS TAKEN I called British council to find out if i could request for another TRF but was told that they do not give more than one copy to test takers, they can only send a copy directly to Canada at a cost of N10,000. This of course means that it will not go with my application. this process is not guaranteed.
I called a customer care line +1 613 944 4000 to ask about my application but the agent told me he has no information about FSWP even though i was told he helped some callers some days ago.
I used my UCI to find out from the website, but since i haven't been charged the reply was null.
Lastly, i sent a Case specific enquiry to CIO but responses usually take between 30 - 45 days, at which point it may be too late to apply on this stream. I prefer not to wait for EE because i am not sure it may be easier.
What do i do? This stage is crucial to me because i am about to make some decisions that would be impacted if my PR is issued in a year or two. Call me a die-hard optimist,if you will, but I have a strong feeling your CC will be charged pretty soon.... |

iamdoingthings: Hi House,
Please I have a question about POF. I had planned to use my pension savings statement and a Bank certification letter as my proof of funds but after going through this thread, I am having second thoughts. this is because I doubt the pension savings statement will be accepted and I couldn't get the Bank certification letter from GTB today.
I do not have enough funds in my current account or savings account for a family of four. I can move money from my savings account to my current account and the funds should be okay. My issue now is that I'm worried that a flag may be raised cos of the amount (2.5M). Please note that I do not want to print a statement of my savings account because there is rarely any activity on that account and most deposits there are not in my name.
I already transferred the money from my savings account to the current and the balance is enough for a family of four. I intend to print the statement tomorrow and submit my application probably mid November as I am still awaiting my Oct. 2nd IELTS results.
Please advice. You might want to read through @fuzzyt experience here https://www.nairaland.com/fuzzyt/posts |
