I'm happy President Obama is snubbing Nigeria. Yar'Adua is not a good president. The guy is sick for God's sake!!! How can a sick man lead us? What were his achievements when he was the Governor of Katsina State? When I see Yar'Adua's pictures, I'm always having a feeling that he might die in office Cry Cry Cry He looks frail. A sick man leading Nigeria is a bad omen. It has spiritual connotations for the future of our country. We need to do something dramatic in 2011. Cheers.

I understand you have to live to die. Democracy in Nigeria is yet unborn and therefore impossible to have bin killed except the Military regimes committed accelerated abortions. Now, that's the vital bit.

The abortion that the first military govt had disrupted the system systematically with continuous carelessness in the form of ethnic rivalry, religious conflict, indisciplline of out people= ineffective or in fact failed institutions, and baba won (their father) CORRUPTION.

I'm a student of Environmental mgt and toxicology and I had to do a water analysis practical course. I tested Gossy water, Eva and Ragolis. Their pH levels were remarkably neutral ranging from 6.9-7.1. Gossy was 7.0! Dissolved solid analysis was also very very low ranging from 0.001 to 0.010, again Gossy was lowest. Dissolved calcium and conductivity levels were also in line with WHO standards. One brand of sachet water also did very well. As much as we all want to believe they are impure, they actually are doing a great job. I stopped abusing those brands of water after that practical session because we compared them with well water and tap water using WHO requirements. If I didn't do it personally, I'd still not believe but I do now.

Whilst you are right in your submissions that it is not the duty of pastors to develop their communities, it is the duty of the church to help and assist the poor and the needy. in fact if you study your bible well you would discover that church offerings and collections is meant to help the needy[acts 4:32-35]. The church is meant to help people live better lives and that is why churches are registered as charities becoas that is what they are meant to be however this charitable roll of the church as been relegated to the back ground cos those leading the church today have no genuine love for the people they are ministering to. the church is not just about spreading the gospel but also about helping others. Here is what James the brother of Jesus as to say about being a christian;

James 1:27: True and undefiled religion[worship] in the sight of God the father is taking care of the widow and the needy in their affliction and keeping your self uncorrupted from the world.

There are several scriptures in the new testament that directs the church to give to the needy, i would be glad to point them out to you if you want further clarification on what i have posted.

I went to the Bank and saw this rough Dude.As be was trying to fill WU form on a pavement,his shirt flew up and I saw his rotten ass.He din't had panties on and I was like what the Hell, Na by force to immitate Oyinbo?Some even want you to see the cheap ibo made versace of whatever fake designer they have underneath but most of them look very dirty like panties they've been wearing for months.When you see it you feel throwing up.

Well,two things might have happened;
1) Somebody close to the Gov might have diverted and barred his calls on his phone.

2) Someone in MTN might have done that on the system.It needs to be investigated.MTN can track the culprits.

The Gov made a mistake.He would have contacted private Detectives who will work hand in hand with MTN to catch the guys.It will be difficult to catch those guys now.It has gone public.

This story might be a setup to cover up something.

I will vote for an Ex-Politician's offspring if he or she has demonstrated the will to toe a different path away from the corrupt antics of his or her father. If the aspirant is honest and has a track record of excellence, he or she has my vote. I wouldnt want to judge people because they come from a certain family. Cheers.

Actually, this issue about giving (whatever we term it: tithe, contribution, collection, etc) should not be taken as a personal fiasco. It does not have to hinge on whatever pilgrim.1 says or what KunleOshob feels - let's learn to see how we can balance issues for our mutual benefit and for others who are genuinely seeking what this is all about.

You keep making this argument that "it is our preachers that twist it to mean giving to the church" - as if there's not a single line in the New Testament about giving to the church! Even these passages lately quoted are about giving to the church, are they not? In any event, if indeed the NT does teach about giving in Church, why be endlessly worried about it and get stuck on accusing preachers today? The one thing it may imply is that you hate are seriously dismayed at any expression of giving in church. Second, you will notice that I did not anywhere argue against giving to the poor; but rather than be polarised at only one side of the issue, my point has always been to maintain a balance by looking at both sides of the issue.

If you are unrepentantly convinced that it is our preachers who twisted the NT to teach giving in church, there's no need for you to ever give anything in Church - as well, no need to ever read those parts of the NT that teach it. I hope this will help you carefully consider your persuasions and aim both for clarity and consistency.
