sethtsadopp: I was even thinking of buying from a big store and just collect receipt while they keep for me. Once I'm ready in about 2 months time I go and pickup. Planning to do this for tiles too. Reason,
1. Rising cost of dollar will begin to reflect in the market prices soon
2. Make i chuck the small cash I have at hand into something before I spend it.
Does this make sense? My plan too but storage is the dilemma here. |

SmartPolician: The measurement of minimum wage is relative to the cost of living in a country.
For instance, the minimum wage of Nigeria is just 30k. However, the minimum wage in the US or UK runs into millions of naira.
But then, the cost of living in the UK or US is by far higher that of Nigeria. That's why companies in those countries call us people of low-income countries. They even pay high income taxes but we pay peanuts in taxes here.
The thing is, considering the cost of living in Nigeria now, minimum wage should be at least 80k while that of security operatives should be 100k.
My point is, minimum wage is supposed to sustain you anywhere you find yourself in the world. Point of correction. Minimum wage of a country is supposed to sustain you anywhere you find yourself within that country. |

InvertedHammer: / That's why anti-gun laws are idiotic. Can one imagine how many victims would have been recorded without the armed citizens around?
A few years back Nigeria had people turn in their guns making them defenseless against Fulani herdsmen who maim and go unchallenged. Many years ago, individuals could own guns legally in Nigeria yet murder rate by firearms remained stable.
/ A mass shooter was once an armed civilian. People still died Even without armed civilian killing the shooter, police would still have gotten him/her just like the rest. 392m guns in a country with less than 350m people is a time bomb no matter how you paint it. A country that boast of millions of drug addicts and numerous mental health issues shouldn't have almost 400m guns in circulation. |

We all know Osinbajo leadership will make Nigerians forget we had Buhari >: Name and then they use money to bribe delegates to eventually vote for someone else? Do you know what that will do to his person? Pure wisdom was what he exhibited knowing fully well that he doesn't have such money to bribe delegates like the known bribe master. |

staga: This is why the black man is always a slave to a white man.
Industrialized societies take schooling and education very seriously. China's university entrance exam was introduced in 1977 after Mao Tsetung's useless cultural revolution experiment that impoverished the country. Guess who that first set that took that exam produced? The current president Xi Jinping and his deputy.
Go to India. Their university entrance exam and the exam taken to enter into their prestigious IT colleges are so competitive, some students commit suicide when they fail to get in. That's how serious they view those exams. India is today the world's IT destination and number 1 producer of pharmacological products in the world.
But the dumb millennial Nigerians who believe schooling is useless will follow MC Oluomo (whose kids are all schooling abroad ooo) to shout "who certificate help?" Yet you millennials will use products developed by the educational systems of China, India and America (smartphones and computer gadgets) to be scamming people and doing Yahoo Yahoo globally, but still say schooling is useless. Slaves will always be slaves. You forgot to include one vital point, these countries designed their own educational system according to their interest and belief systems. Didn't stick to what colonisers gave them. |

Johnrake69: Sad. Hopefully they have insurance.
Don't venture into any business in Nigeria without thinking of insurance.
I can't even drive my car without comprehensive insurance. Life here is hard try as much as possible to protect what you have. There's no safety net in Nigeria.
My friend had an accident with my car luckily I had comprehensive insurance. I spent 300K to fix the car. The insurance company paid me 245K while the premium I paid was 105K for one year coverage.
It's part of financial intelligence we must imbibe to help us grow economically.
If you have a family as a man take life assurance policy. If anything happens to you your family doesn't have to depend on the benevolence of your family members or your friends to pay school fees and other bills. Take charge of your finances. Insurance is very paramount. Mum's car got into an accident on Toyin Street I think (Billboard fell on it during one of the rainy days), insurance paid 89% of the cost of the car. |
