* A mighty prophet (so mighty they thought he was Elijah or that prophet promised by God) came and said his entire mission was to prepare the way for that Person and that he was not fit to even untie his shoes.
* A Person then came and met all the conditions of birth and ancestry prophesied and was worshipped at birth by some discerning wise men with great spiritual insight, the Magi.
* He said himself he was the long-awaited God, the Son of God, and did things and conducted himself in a way that supports that.
* He was the only person Israelites ever tried to stone to death for saying he was God
* His closest friends and companions who dealt with him and knew him personally believed he was God
* For 2000+ he has been worshipped as, and interchangeably with, "jealous" God, and far from being punished by "jealous" God, his worshippers have been abundantly blessed and their numbers exploded and always increasing.
*Over those 2000+ years he has been worshipped by some very special people including people with great spiritual insights, various annointed ones, and saints.
*He is ALIVE and ACTIVE in people's lives TODAY and various people have testified to interacting with him including in dreams and near-death experiences.

Our question is:
CAN YOU BELIEVE SOME PEOPLE TODAY STILL DOUBT HE IS DIVINE??!!
They know better than people who knew him PERSONALLY! All based on their understanding of some words someone said that someone said that someone said that he might have said. Same words 300 bishops examined in totality and unanimously concluded he was divine!

please can you give us two prophets who prophesied that God would impregnate another mans wife to sire a son and why GOD Needs a son all of a sudden.
then tell us which prophet prophesied that the said son was coming as a human sacrifice to god as God was not accepting mans sincere repentance just as he said in 2nd chronicles 7;14.

Max this is the whole of Isaiah 7. It is a long narrative. When you decide to take a single line from a story and run away with it, this is exactly what you get. Put the line back to the story and read it. You will understand the full message.
Let me give you a quick summary of the passage down to verse 16. Like I am preparing for my SSCE English class.

1. The kings of Syria and the northern 10 tribe of Israel formed an alliance.
2. They wanted to make war on Judah and effect a regime change.

6. He was still agitated and God asked him to ask for a sign. A sign that will assure him of God's word and promises.
7. He declined to ask for a sign. Then God then proceeded to give him a sign.
8. A young woman is with child and about to give birth. She will give birth to a son who she would name Immanuel which means God is with us.
9. That he would eat honey and before he knows how to choose between good from evil the two kings he dread will be no more..

How am I misleading people?. I did not say he was their messiah. He however was a kind of pretender who said his own kingdom was in the minds of men. He did not confront Rome so he does not qualify. First of all, some people insist it was not the Jews that killed Jesus but the Romans but I do not support this view because Jesus was not a threat to Rome in any way. He did not oppose Roman authority and when according to a Bible account he was prodded by the Jews on Rome, he advised everybody to pay tax to Emperor Caesar. He was not a viable messiah and only viable messiahs with large followings were engaged by Rome. A Jewish messiah is someone that will free their country from Rome as at then and make them sovereign again. Many people that assumed that role were killed by Rome and when their followers still insisted they rose from the dead, a particular one was left in a gulley to rot so that everybody can see he did not rise up again.
Back to the Jews and Jesus Christ. I believe Jesus Christ was killed either directly or indirectly by Jewish theocrats for being an apostate. He broke blasphemy laws. Going by what is happening in today’s world where people are allowed to make all kinds of theological claims and brainwash people causing death and misery all over the world, I believe there should be apostasy laws. People should not be free to publicly make any claim about God that they deem fit. They should especially not be able to make claims putting themselves on super human pedestals. There is nothing any human being is that other human beings can not become and if we don't respect that fact we will have issues in our society. In that light I support the Jews that had apostasy laws to prosecute Jesus Christ with in the first century. Though that was not his name but a Greek alias.
What I don't support is the severity of the sentence.
Jesus Christ was prosecuted by the Jews specifically because he publicly claimed to be greater than David, Moses and etc and went further to say he was equal with God. All in public. He claimed to be a leader (more or less King) of the Jews and the Romans were involved because of that. He however never led any insurrection against Rome and did say that his own Kingdom is in the minds of men. The Romans did not see any reason to convict him and they handed him over to the Jews according to the Bible.
In conclusion, were the Jews right to prosecute Jesus Christ?. Yes but the sentence was too severe. However in the past and even in modern times, sentencing for apostasy are always that severe. Since Jesus, many people have been executed for apostasy.

Last time I checked, cruxifiction is not a Jewish mode of executing criminals. Moreover the sanhendrin are empowered to pass the death penalty. The back and forth with Pontius pilate was unnecessary. (One of the reasons for Jesus non existence).
The sanhendrin has the power to pass the death penalty and the mode of execution is by stoning.
FYI the sanhendrin don't meet at night. This tears to shreds the Jesus story.

I just figured out that even though the Jehovah's witnesses don't believe in the Trinity. They do believe in two Gods. God the father and God the devil.
But the Jews are strict monotheist. They only believe in one God who is both responsible for good and evil and besides him there is no other god. But Christians including JW believe in an evil God, that is a dual opposite of God the father. I find such idea insulting. It means God is not sovereign over his creation and the devil does whatever he likes, it is far from the truth. God is one and sovereign. There is nothing he created that he can't control. Even for the sake of argument, the devil exists, whatever he does is always within the will of God. He needs an expressed permission from God to act. Without God's Ok, he does nothing.
So Christians, this is one aspect of Christianity that I find insulting and condescending.

There is just nothing that happens on earth or in the universe that God does not know about. And it can only happen if it is the WILL of God, both good and evil.

Your problem is that you take text out of context. Read it like how Isaiah wrote it. You will not see one minute idea of Jesus there. There server is Israel and so many places in Isaiah, God said that his servant is Israel/Jacob. Why will it change in chapter 53?

Isaiah was a prophet who foretold the life of Christ and he started from verse 1. Isaiah started the narration from verse 1. Check from 3-7, he interchanged "we" with "our" and "us". So the "we" is same with "our" and "us" which refers to mankind. "He" or "Him" is Christ Jesus. This is English nah just like "We" went to visit "our" old teacher who gifted "us" a goat.

I just highlighted some places for you to check. The Lord himself allowed Him Christ to suffer or afflicted Him because He bore the sins of mankind not just Israel. The judgement of the Lord that was to be on man was unleashed on Him as He was the substitute. It wasn't a mistake in any way and it was fulfilled exactly in the new testament when Christ died. Do you remember He wished the cup of suffering be taken away from Him at a time but had to submit to it. Isaiah's prophecy was fulfilled exactly. Go and read about the events that lead to His death.
You countered yourself when you said the Lord afflicted Israel and later found out it was a mistake. The He is Jesus Christ not Israel. The affliction was not a mistake. Since He accepted to act as substitute for mankind in bearing their iniquities, He must be the one to experience the full wrath of judgement intended for mankind. It was a bitter sacrifice which will give Him glory as prophesied by Isaiah and was later fulfilled. Read Philippians for more insight

First and foremost there is nothing scary about death. In fact your spirit is imprisoned in that body and only death can set it free. This knowledge and understanding will bring peace to you.
We are God's spirit dwelling within a physical body made of dust. Only death can free it from the body.
Death is only scary because no one knows when it will come. No need to fear, when you know what it is. It helps to keep your mind at rest.
