No, dont use oando dexron 11or 111. The dexron 3 is to top and not to use as the oil replacement. We have syngard global atf that is very ideal for your car |
Of course, it is the same routine. Here we use the land rover sdd software. It works easily. |
Once you program a key, the remote access is programmed also. Except for the type of your range, if it's lost and there is no spare, then we order from bearmach in the UK |
We can get you a spare key |
The amplifier has gone bad. 90% is caused by the battery not properly latched. Get a new or used amplifier underneath the front passenger seat. |
Ok, you can get one in Dubai though. Or yes, i know someone that owns one. Let me call him and I will revert back to you |
I read your write up but it did not give any advice on what to do, like why we should never fit any tyre with traction B, why we should not buy a Q rated tyre, why passenger cars should not use C tyres meant for buses, why we should not believe the expertise of a vulcaniser who will put 50psi instead of 32 psi in a tyre or a tyre dealer who will tell you T rated speed tyres will work well on a Mercedes G class. We need to move ahead and prevent these dealers from bringing substandard tyres into the country. We need to let CPC to protect the motorists, because we buy what we see in the market and we feel that the government agencies overseeing the sector will not allow such tyres into the country. We need to go against Milan tyres, Bridgestone, Infinity, Continental, Michelin and all those round about tyres who make Nigeria a dumping site for their tyres and we keep wondering if SON has been disbanded. We should write against shops selling these tyres and make them burn them. Since you have a medium, utilize it well to put a stop against these substandard tyres. |
What model is the car? |
How many do you see on the road? All things are permissible but not beneficial. |
My car, is that a name or a brand? Full details of your car and how the code came about? |
Guy, there is nothing like best brand, just check the numbers on the old spark plugs and look for same or go to ebay and check for the spark plug number for your brand of car. |
That is good to know. Elaborate on the cause of two cylinders losing compression so that owners could learn. |
Were the spark plugs which he changed earlier, the oem plugs? |
Yes o, very cool. The naija contribution to the range rover sport. |
Interior update, now available, dashboard, roof, door mat and seats
|
praiseandpeac:Use Dexron 111 but not those red can family. kilakhan:Like we discussed on the phone. The price differs everywhere. |
Toyota Ws is available in the open market. But buy from trusted sources |
king406:Yes, there are many modules in the bmw |
king406:Yes, there are many modules in the bmw . |
diportivo:Shebi i be sooper kazeem? |
king406:Good question you just raised. Have you scanned the four months old Benz? Just do and let us know what came out. What happened to vboot, c,e,s class of the 2005 to 2010 even ml? You did a great research and look at this phrase, if premium is not available, use regular fuel but quickly refill to premium fuel. Mb wrote it in their manual, vw did and range rover warned of engine damage when using a lower octane rating for a long time. If they warned you and you ignored their counsel, you will soon notice two things in your Mercedes-Benz, sludge and sluggish driving. That's when you know that you should follow the instructions from the manufacturer. Benz sold in Nigeria uses regular fuel, same thing with Porsche Nigeria. Scan your Mercedes-Benz today and paste the result and let us know if it is coughing and we give the car to an expert to treat it.As for the Japanese cars using different fuel types, kingrein has already answered the question. |
That's true, we are internet based mechanics but the Op used the internet to ask for help. He could have well searched the internet to master his vehicle. Even those that studied online to obtain their degrees are kazeems too. The range rover scanner that requires we login and pay for subscription before we can program range rover are super kazeems and you that is making the comment, you are using telegram or fax. If you are a Lexus owner and it suits you to use and drive with regular fuel, go on and enjoy your car. I am not a Lexus mech but I have a little idea about the car based on practical experience since 2001 and I own an old school lx400 that is still with me till date. Help the guy solve this problem and leave us kazeems to move on to higher challenges |
Abi, so what is the advice for the Op, he should change the spark plugs or the fuel pump or buy new catalyst or change the gasket or buy highlander? The fuel will not hurt these high end japanese luxury cars but will make many things go wrong. Acura is prone to gear failures, ditto nissan, while the honda is known for leg pullout. The fuel these luxury cars uses matters and either you come to terms with it or the owners of these brands continue to spend money in an inappropraite manner |
We dont have bad fuel in the country, just that our regular unleaded fuel is very suitable for Toyota, honda and to an extent, nissan but the lexus, acura, mitsubishi, and infinity and nissan high end does tolerate regular fuel but to the detriment of better fuel economy, powerful takeoff and smooth driving and destruction of engines. Many agents at the ports will testify that once they clear out a vehicle from the port, immediately they buy fuel, the check engine light comes on and any scan done on those cars reveal cylinder misfire and oxygen sensors fault. It happens on all these cars but recent observations have noticed that some toyotas are now using premium, especially the 2014 corolla Us specs and there is a likelyhood that your pilot is also programed for premium too. That is why i am always advocating for octane boosters as a remedy because it is the Americans that produce octane boosters and they have premium fuel and I discovered that there are some towns where they have regular fuel and also amg cars uses a higher than 91 octane hence the need to boost the fuel. That lexus is reacting to the fuel in Nigeria and the result of all the trial and error jobs on his car is as a result of poor research on the type of car and the type of fuel and for the type of country that car will be used in. Voila |
Sultan, I have joined Coscharis in booking cars for appointment, the Op can't wait for next year. There is no recession for auto engineers because the motorists do not have a choice to let their cars remain at home. Uber usage is expensive and keke and danfo are not a better alternative |
kingreign:Kai, don't say that. Na theory I sabi, you and my Gazzuz be the practical experienced guys. I don't fix Lexus brand |
Dont run away from una responsibilities, gazz and kingreign, fix the car online |
kingreign:My Oga in abj, I used to be fortunate to be fixing Toyotas like Gazz and you until I decided to dare into other things. I have never owned one but I know what happens when this Lexus misfires. They are very tolerant of the regular fuel but the long term cost is to change the engine. |
We dont have bad fuel, we use regular unleaded and Lexus does not fit the fuel. If you have cases like this that has been solved, it is good but are those cars using our fuel because when a car says reduced engine performance, it says a lot about the combustion, poor combustion. And poor fuel economy and the car computer has reduced its performance to compensate for the low octane fuel... |
Gazz, whenever any of these cars enter the country and as it is leaving the port and you buy fuel at any station, the check engine comes up. As per toyota and lexus, the traction light comes up any time the check engine comes on. And in most cases, aside from multiple misfire faults, the oxygen sensors are also faulty. There is nothing that can be done to remedy the situation except he boosts the fuel. Euro v cars dont work well with our fuel |
Make i nor shout too much, get an octane booster and it will resolve the problem. Lexus requires premium unleaded fuel only and that is not available locally |
Good to know, does your insurance benefits for members support roadside assistance to motorists in distress? |
