At least you admitted that you were ignorant over your transmission. Can you tell the new buyer what was the ignorance that made you change your transmission? You used Abro ATF? Why not tell the new buyer what your routine maintenance means, like how many times have they changed your plugs, coils, nozzles and then what type of fuel Acura uses> Can you put your hand into your oil chamber and let us see if there is no sludge? Is the car still agile like it was 4 years ago? If all these questions are affirmative, then you can give him honest advice. Count, on any major road how many TL you will see on the road? There is only one that I know of who bought his TL and ordered 5 w 20 Penzoil from the US, that is the only guy that reads the fuel consumption online and ensures that it tallies with his car's performance.

Good question, we recycle the parts, lawma collects the tyres for free, we donate the engine blocks to people that take some parts for smelting, I have seen a lot of them looking for these parts, creating jobs for them. It is just like we pay lawma agents to pick our garbage at home and some times, we throw away our used electronic devices, house hold things, the scavengers depends on the garbage for daily means of survival.We don't ask lawma truck what they do with the used tyres that we remove from abandoned vehicles but their goal is to dispose it properly and this can be done if there is a central collection point where they can pick the tyres in bulk. That is the reason for it. The ones that we can repair, we do fix and sell to make up the cost of running the initiative. But whoever abandons a vehicle for years means it will cost a lot of resources to put the car back on the road and when you calculate the cost, you will realize that it is better to discard the vehicle. Owode traders don't buy those cars, so people allow the vehicles to rot on the street because they don't know where to take it to for demolition. That's the raison d'etre for our new initiative. Maybe a time will come when the ministry of environment will wake up and shoulder the responsibility of preserving our earth, the ecological funds will be channelled to our direction cos this is more serious thanthe after effects of erosion and poisoned underground water.

Dont buy, it is not tolerant of regular unleaded fuel and so na so so gear box issue you will face and the engine will become sluggish and Kazeem will always be changing your coils, plugs servicing your injectors and before the car tire, you have retired.

Scrap metal business is a big business for some people.

You are right about compensation but we know those people we are targeting. Those whose cars have become relics in their houses and it has.become a risk to the owners. Honda Advises that you can use ATF Z1. I have seen people used Dexron 111 and it works fine but I will advise that you look for a better type of Dexron 111, not Seahorse or Abro.

The tyre fitted on the Ocholi's jeep was substandard. The frsc report was just to deceive us. They refuse to give the speed index rating of the tyre. Everyone should be wary of the tyre on their range . If your speed rating index is s,t,h, remove it and get the one with v,w,y zr.

Land Rover and Range Rover suspension systems are among the most troublesome in the market. The basic design is an air pump that fills rubber boots which replace the springs found in most other vehicles. The idea is you ride on a cushion of air that will absorb all of the bumps on or off the road. The reality is you have a very complex system of valves,pumps,hoses and airbags. All of these fail in one way or another usually sooner rather then later. Lets talk about the causes of the failures of the Land Rover suspension and Ranger Rover suspension, and what we can do to lower the repair bills when they fail. The key is to repair the small problem before it escalates.

One scenario is you wake up , go out to your Range Rover and its sitting all the way down on its wheels. The suspension has collapsed and the truck will not stand up. In this case the pump has most likely failed. The clue is that the entire vehicle is sitting low not just one corner. The pumps usually fail from being over worked, just got burned out. This will happen when you have one or more of the air shocks that are leaking causing the pump to run continuously . For this reason it is important to address the issue if your EAS (electronic air suspension) light stays on once the truck is started or comes on while driving.

Scenario two is you are driving and you notice the truck just can’t seem to stay level. You are stopped at a light and notice the front end going up and down an inch or two every few seconds . In this case you most likely have a leaky air shock or hole in an air line coming from the air pump. More evidence of a leaky shock would be the Land Rover sitting low on one corner only. Replacing just the airbag on one corner is not that expensive (about 80k) on a 2002-2005 Range Rover . On a 2005-2010 Range Rover you could be looking at closer to 70k for one as it is the complete strut assembly that we need to change. Some good news for Land Rover Discovery and LR2 owners is that the air shocks are in the rear only, the fronts use conventional springs.

OK now we know that your Land Rover has a suspension problem, what do we do next? Well there is some good news. First we always inspect the suspension components during every oil service. This way we can spot a small leak before it causes any expensive damage. Yes, they are almost the same except in little details. Dont believe the hype you hear about the balloon. The Mecs use that to fleece their customers. Until the Forex crisis, the balloon was sold for 65k, so I dont know where the news came from. A brake light bulb can make the air suspension to malfunction, a brake light switch can make your range to have transmission issues. Range rover does not accept management and staff, They want executive directors who will change a bulb once it is blown and not those who will manage the other brake light till he has time to change it, by then, there would have been issues which will compound the functionality of the Range and then you now find time with your money to fix the problem that you ignored before. The Range brand is cheaper to maintain. A good battery, oil change with filter, twice a year, transmission/axle/auxiliary oil change, yearly, good tyres with V as the minimum speed rating. And dont forget, octane boosters too.

hmmm. That is not true. It is a premium suv and with limited numbers of mechanics, there are bound to be issues. The engine is rugged and tested and it is a go anywhere car. Try and stand on the road and count the bmw x5 AND 6 on the road, the Ml and Gl of the mercedes and then the Range rover brand. By the time you are counting 5 bmw still plying the roads, you would have counted 50 range rovers and there is no rrs that you find crawling on a free road, they are always on the move. Get one and we will stand by you by offering you extended warranty to take away your fears...

I will bet a naira if the tyre is not temperature b and speed index of T which is very commonly fitted on these suvs by unscrupulous importers of these vehicles. I once checked the tyres fitted on a Lexus driven by a former minister of works and it had a speed index rating of H. I practically had to beg his protocol to change those tyres in order to avoid the occurence of what just happened.
