And on pricing the pump my guys in ladipo says its 150k!!!! am just not ready for that yet since the remarkable drop on all 4 only occurs when I abandon the car for up to 4 days, for now I may just get with running the engine every other day to fostall the drop in height and u know I always prefere to use the honda for my everyday runs,..... whats ur advice here again, b4 I forget I also statrted using mobil 2 for the honda like you advice and I observe great performance of the car and a stonger engine sound.

The suspension pump is not the Valve. The Valves are located under the chassis of the front right. You remove the protector of the chassis and you will find it there. If they cant service it, then let them change it. The people in Ladipo do exploit owners of the Range so ignore their prices. Go online and buy whatever is wrong with your Range and in that way, you renew the parts and also put good OEM parts on the Range. Why cant you use your Range as a daily ride? You are punishing that Range o hence it is misbehaving. I only have one Ride and that is my Range Rover Sports since 2011. It is like my ATM card, anywhere I want to go, it follows me or we go together.

most viewers do not know the difference and a lot of mechanics top up ATF systems with ABRO.

do a little bit of research and list the vehicles using your fluid.
over50% of permanent transmission failure in nigeria occur because people add the wrong ATF (statistics from my experience).
for the fact that it is synthetic doesnt make it a one-drug-cures-all

Dexron 11/111. Mobil is Dexron 11e, Oando, Total and MRS is Dexron 111. Use Oando. It is sold for N1000 a litre. Total is N1450 while MRS is N1400. If you want the best for your engine, use synthetic oil also from TOTAL, FORTE

That is true. Most likely Mercon V which is not OANDO Dexron 111 compatible

Which side does it lean on when it drops? I suggest that you check the valves in front of the passenger chassis. It needs some clean up or you change your height sensors on the side that it leans on.

Have you ever changed your timing belt on the Volvo? If an engine is above 100k miles, change the timing belt and make it a rule at every 6000 miles, the belt costs 6k and so it is not an expensive habit. It is because you disregarded the regulation, hence you are having these issues.

Lokomike don make una forget Range Rover Sport. Who said that it is expensive to maintain? If you are spending more than 60k to service your Range Rover Sport in a year, change your Mechanic. What else is required to maintain a range? Making sure that the battery is in good condition is the only thing a proud owner should worry about and then the bulbs and brake light switch. All these are basic maintenance for a whole year. If your bushings and ball joints fail, they are 7k a piece. So I dont know where the high maintenance cost come from. Many owners are too busy enjoying the Range that they dont bother to read the manual of the Range. There was a guy that had a beautiful chamson red Range Rover Sport. It had auxilary issues and as such made the Range ineffective in its duties.He took it to some expert who charged him N200k to fix the fault. He got in touch with me and I drove down to Ikoyi to see the Range. I saw a lot of lights on the dashboard and just pressed the high range button, switched off the ignition and started the Range again et voila, all the faults went away, no scanning, just a touch of the button. The suspension rose up and the pump started working. Another day, I saw another Range crawling on its bumps and the guy was managing it to Lekki from Ikeja. He did not know how to raise the ride from access to normal. I stopped them and helped them press the button and the range rose up. Nothing is expensive to repair in the Range Rover Sport or Vogue except through ignorance, we allow the Ride to falter and then we pay much to bring it back to life.

It is good that you are aware of the effect of sludge on engines. I have used many of these oils and when I see 25,000 service interval, I begin to wonder if it is for Nigeria. The benefit of using 5w 20 or 5w30 in Nigeria is minimal. In a Range Rover manual, using 5w 30 is ideal for an environment that does not exceed 35 degrees centigrade. For 5w 40, it is for 50 degrees Centigrade and you know very well that Amsoil thrives well in clement weather. Some will say that Texas is hotter than Nigeria but do they wake up with 25 degrees in the morning? Or get to 40 degrees during the hot sunny day? If it is as hot as Nigeria, there will be high rate of burst tyres in Texas because the vehicles from there comes with all season tyres with temperature B. I have seen cars that comes from Maiduguri and they always use the thicker oil including oil treatment because they told me the reason for that is that the oil breaks down faster when they are in Maiduguri. All Nigerian oil marketers sell 5W 40 except Mobil 1 that is 0w 40. They must have factored the intensity of our weather to produce the oil that is suitable for our environment. Amsoil will not be effective here hence they have not thought of bringing it into the country. Using Forte Syn or Oando Syn will conveniently give you two oil change interval in a year. For many years, I have changed the oil of over 20000 vehicles and when I see sludge in most cars, I assume two things, the car is not serviced regularly and the poor octane fuel being used is making even a synthetic oil not being able to prevent sludge. If anyone has driven a Mercedes or VW for a year or two in Nigeria, let them check their oil chamber and they will be surprised to find sludge in the engine. Ditto BMW. Changing your oil at 25000 miles is a recipe for disaster and a quick answer to engine sellers' prayers across the country. There is no engine that is prone to sludge, it is using the right oil and the low octane fuel or planning a longer oil change regime for a vehicle in Nigeria. The ideal interval should be 6000mls or 10000kms every 6 months whichever comes first and for conventional oils, 3 months or 3000 miles or 5000 kms. Any other method using the world's best oils will not be ideal for your vehicle in Nigeria. Thankfully, Nigerian lubricant manufacturers will be holding an exhibition in Lagos on the 19th of this month. Make I go see for una behalf. I go give full report.

They wont have engine trouble but the engine is gone. And the sludge there will be protecting the engine from failing. Flush out the sludge and that engine is gone.

My fear of the competence of the Nigerian Doctor is the reason for my excellent health status. When I have Malaria, I drink only water. The drug and the dispensers are not to be trusted. I can tell of many false diagnostics of the Nigeria Doctor. I advise all Nigerians to take very good care of their health. The Nigerian Doctor that destroyed the VAMED equipment, because they could not operate it, they called them substandard. A group that has no standard destroyed sub standard equipment. Go to National Hospital in Abuja, with all the equipment there, the death rate is high. Federal Govt Hospitals are number 1 choice whenever a doctor is seeking for employment. They even prefer a FMC than a state teaching hospital. They divert patients to their private clinics and work half heartily for the people. Imagine a scenario with a doctor diverting govt clients to his hospital or foreign hospitals. That is wickedness. But on a brighter side, their incompetence is also a good incentive to get well quickly. I had a friend's dad who was very sick and he was admitted into a high brow hospital near Mobil Hq in VI. In a room all by himself, with LCD TV, A/C and fresh home cooked food, this old man refused to get well. Then the son decided to take him to LUTH cos the funds were fast depleting. In LUTH, in a general ward, face me I face you, the man was very uncomfortable and refused to eat for 3 days. One evening, his neighbour in the bed opposite him died suddenly and the old man immediately asked for food and two days later, he was well and was discharged.

Driving a Corolla and A highlander is the same feeling. No extra glow feelings like you can get from driving a GL 450, those feelings that makes the driver joyfully play with the tiptronic buttons thinking they were joysticks or a Range Rover's engine roar challenging you to push harder. For me o, let the OP buy Toyota Highlander or Honda Pilot. For someone to seek for our opinion before he buys an SUV, it shows he is mindful of the repair cost and the durability. I was also thinking that he plans to use the SUV in Sango Ota or Abule Egba. For VI and Ikeja runs, buy a Range rover Sport Supercharged so that your nerves are soothed whenever you are cruising to either Islands. Apart from these two SUVs, all the others on your list uses Premium unleaded fuel and ask Lejeun 3, to maintain your SUV with Premium unleaded fuel cost money. But a highlander is like an elevated 2002 Toyota Corolla.

Good Morning, Everyone. Total has just introduced their Dexron 111 transmission fluid according to an email sent to me by their Lubricant Manager. At least no more Dexron 11D to battle with. Caution! The fluid is meant for vehicles that requires Dexron 111 only. Also there is a new synthetic engine oil that has been silently reinvigorating the auto repairs industry. It is called RYMCO. It has 5w30 and 5w40 all fully synthetic. Since Oando is still delaying to bring out their synthetic oil, I recommend this Engine oil. It is sold in Lagos by Automaze Nigeria Limited, the Automedics people. They also have 20w50 for those that prefer that grade and the prices are good, very good.

ATF MV is the ideal oil for your Mazda and our pureguard is very ideal for the transmission.

There is the popular Toyota T1V transmission fluid in the market. It comes in 1 litre and a gallon. No Nigerian oil marketer produces atf oil for modern vehicles. They are 10 years behind, that is those that are forward thinking like Oando and MRS which produces Dexron 111. Mobil comes next with Dexron 11e. All these fluids are suitable for cars that were produced before 2003/4. Total, Conoil, Forte are producing fluid meant for vehicles made before 1996 and yet unsuspecting motorists, trusting these brands continue to use these fluids. meetdopi: Oga, sorry to disturb you again. I asked a guy who has the diagnostics machine and ask him how much this will cost me. Could you believe, he advised that I change the complete 4sets at a charge of N30,000!!! Obviously, this is not cheap. Would you have an idea where I can get this left abs sensor asap?

Hahaha. Abs sensor is not more than 7000 maximum and since it is only the left, buy the left or on a second thought, let him clean the old one if it is still there and also clean the hole where the abs sensor goes into.
