Until Nigerians and by extension Africans start to understand that currency is a concept and it’s used basically to control the world. We are seeing this clearly with bitcoin… a concept developed, adopted and used for some trade. Money can exist in different forms but what forms or create money itself is value. That is the amount of value you create determines the amount of money you have. Every Nigerian should own value creation. You will see Naira gain. |

Some people might just cook Christmas rice with frozen chicken this year what’s the difference between frozen and live chicken? May be there is something I do not know. I can get 4 full frozen chicken for 25k, why should I get one for same? |

It will be folly for anyone to buy chicken for 25k when you can get 4 already processed chicken for that price from stores. |

Motive matters in everything. The objective of tithing is not to get rich. It’s simply obedience. It’s you having a quality walk with God. If your motive to tithe is to be rich, you will not get rich. Infact you will not have the courage to keep on. Riches are additions that come because of obedience. Just so you know every rich man believe in the concept of tithing. They may not call it tithe but they believe they must give at least a tenth out. If you have had the privilege to leave the shores of Nigeria, you will see that this concept is one of the factors that has helped the great nations combined with diligence and honesty in dealings. |
Politics › Re: Shehu Shagari: Nigerian President's Salary In 1979 (Throwback Photo) by sowilli: 9:55pm On Jun 28, 2024 |
Sublimesuccess: Hmmm
That was when my father bought a brand new car for less than #4000. So the annual salary of the president then would buy almost 13 of such cars. Imagine selling that car for 8 million naira in our own time and a modern day president can afford to buy 13 such cars with his BASIC SALARY of 104 million naira. There was corruption then as well.
Even the cover price of the newspaper should tell you something. That newspaper cost 15k then, now it is #300. If you divide #50000 by 15k, it's the same result you get by dividing #100 million by #300, the current price of the newspaper, and I don't even think the official salary of the modern day president is up to #100 million. For the president nowadays to buy the same number of newspapers the annual salary of the president then could buy, he must earn #100 million annually. Let's be relative with the way we think.
Likewise I saw people thinking that the man selling roasted corn in London had struck gold by selling one for £1. Converting the money into naira is a fairy tale. A bottle of coke there is about £2. Imagine selling one cob of corn for £1 and buying a bottle of coke for £2! It's like garbage in, garbage out.
Based on the values copied from Wikipedia below,in 1979, $1=60k, therefore #50,000 then in 1979=$83333. Let's convert the $83333 back to naira in 2024 when $1=#1235 based on the table, $83333=#103 million. So #50000 then and #103 million today are equal!!! Cutting it down further, #5 in 1979 and #10000 today have the same purchasing strength. this kind of analyses will make you think all is well till you find that you are not was productive as before and that exchange rate is not what determines your social status but your productivity. There is global inflation, yes but when you compare this to the productivity of other nations, you start to see where the problem is. |

As he sinks the country to debt & 30 decades high never seen inflation!
The class of people leaving Nigeria currently are
1- Foreign companies( the guys that we need for those hard dollars we say need at the moment)
2- The middle class( the guys that are backbone of our economy, very obedient as they don't mind paying taxes, spending money unlike the greedy rich 1% who do everything to avoid taxation)
3- The smartest & most gifted of our country in various fields like STEM, economics & social sciences( hotcakes for developed countries sha, unlike here where if THEY ARE LUCKY dey fit manage lecturing job)
4- The hard workers & hustlers
Imagine all of these categories leaving in 100s almost monthly & agb@dorians think it's NO BIG DEAL. those are literally backbone of building a nation emmigration is not new. A Lebanese who is a billionaire once said his father told him something that has helped him and that is nations don’t die, that is because nation is made up of people. They can break, disintegrate but they will always remain. So people can go, people will still remain. We need people with the right mind and not just the skills. The skills without the right mind won’t take us anywhere. |

The minimum ban period is 14 days. If you have offended multiple times, it's 30 days. If you keep offending, you may be permanently banned.

In 51 years, most of the breakthroughs in research must have been done in the UK. One of the challenges is that we have not developed systems to even encourage local viability and sustainability of these companies. What I am saying is other than monetary profits, there are no major achievements when it comes to new products and solutions for the local market. Why couldn’t GSK have partnered with a UI or OAU for instance to co-research and develop a local drug with local resources. But then, what the govt cares about is tax. The business space is getting more competitive and organizations are looking for value beyond monetary gains. |

In 1960 Nigeria population was 45million, that same year UK population was 52 million
2023 Nigeria population is above 220 million , that same UK is just above 65 million..
How are we going to live a better life when we are not even productive like the UK.. how can population be a problem? People are a strength if the people are wise and resourceful. The problem is wisdom and non productivity. USA, China, India are leveraging their population for good. |

I see the monarchy in trouble and going into extinction from King Charles' reign. you are bothered about the cost of coronation and not what the monarchy brings in. The Monarchy is what made Great Britain what it is today. They have conquered and won kingdoms. These kingdoms in one way or the other are contributing to GB. Nigeria for instance. They will loose more if this changes. |

Litmus: You have to be incredibly stupid as a Nigerian or delusional as an African to believe any Nigeria girl is going to prostetute self in Burkina fasso - a country so poor and wretched even fleas wouldn't be seen dead there after failing to bite anyone.
Nigeria had better organise her immigration eco system better in order to stop Nigeria being used as a dumping ground for all the poor and dispossessed people of West Africa. These useless Africa nations are taking Nigeria for mugus because of our generosity and sending us thire poor and destitutes disguised as deporting illegal Nigerians. Bukina fasso is probably setting up to do the same.
Niaraland is such a queer place, though. It is only on Niaraland that every African nation suddenly finds redemption from the perception of the world of them as shitholes. It is only on Niaraland that every African Nation, even those as inconsequential as Ghana, Bukina Fasso, Rwanda, Ivory Coast and Bongobongo land are wealthy places instead of the aid reliant parasites of the world that they are. we need to critically look at our social media law. Freedom when not managed can be used as a tool to perpetuate evil. |

Check most of his goals.. cheap goals he wouldn't even score from the 90s till date. Pele was good but if he had played in this era, it wouldn't have been easy for him and he would have just being an ordinary player.
Don't get me wrong, Pele is great. If you say he's the greatest of all time, I won't argue because it's your opinion. Even someone like delima Ronaldo or Adriano Leite Ribeiro would have done wonders in that era.
Most of you shouting Pele up and down didn't even watch him play...just hearsay and stories passed down from generations to generations. Except of course you were born or old enough to understand football between 1953 and 1977 ... Same way you'll pass down the story of zlatan ibrahimovic future kids would think he was even greatest ever. time and chance.
