A-times I don't even understand this country. Ondo, Oyo Lagos and Edo have so much deposit of bitumen, that cumulatively can make Nigeria the highest producer, yet we are still far behind in road construction.

If you are good at preventive maintenance and sticking religiously to it according to user manual, go for Passat else buy Honda.
Honda will take more abuse than the Passat too.
Passat require specialized mechanics than Honda, if you take your Passat to road side mechanics it might spell doom.
Ride quality of Passat is better.

Think the battery is gone even though it shows green. You can confirm with another battery. You can use a meter to check alternator or the crude way of removing disconnecting one terminal of battery while car is running, if car goes off, then alternator suspect. A whole lot of batteries in the market can spring up surprises. That green gives false results too.
Ask of Trane batteries if it's confirmed your battery is bad. very good.

I'm not sure how the educational system works these days, but I advice you to take the path that will lead you to getting a good first degree in electrical/electronic engineering. Geology/Geophysics will narrow you chances in future, also don't put your future in oil. An electronic/electrical also works in the oil industry but you have to think of the future. A whole lot of courses we have now will be irrelevant in the future. Electronic/electrical will still be relevant to a great extent.
No matter the University you attend make sure you get at least a 2:1, the name of the institution is secondary. Good grades will enable you to be invited for interviews in case you are interested in employment and also enable you to go for higher educational qualification in case you want to study further.

Even if the hospitals are equipt , what will run them as the medical crew are all leaving for greener pastures. It's a pathetic scenario. Medical staff are not treated well here.
