TV/MoviesRe: Trailer Of "Dead City - Rise Of The Aliens" (A New Nigerian Movie) by spade: 10:43am On Oct 27, 2013
Damn! Texazzpete has nailed it!

Guy, just take our advice and ABANDON this phucking turd. It is not worth it!

Ambition without creativity is simply DELUSION! That's just the plain truth and I'm sorry it has to hit you this way.

Take my advice and just start with an animated short. I mean, a traditional 2D animated short like Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends. Are you aware that cartoon was made using Adobe Illustrator (Drawings), Adobe After-Effects (Animating) and Adobe Premiere (Post-production)? Please, just do that and save yourself the epic embarrassment eagerly waiting to befall you, should this devastating dirt-bomb be released on Feb 14!!!

And since, as you've said, it was made with "ZERO-BUDGET", dumping it in a green, mosquito-breeding gutter shouldn't be any loss, I hope.
PoliticsRe: Anambra State Governorship Election Debate On STV on Oct 25th, 2013 by spade: 9:36am On Oct 27, 2013
Ngige has completely destroyed Obiano.
He ripped him to shreds intellectually last night, and showed him up for the empty barrel he truly was.

Did you all see how evasive and shaky Obiano was all through the debate? grin
What a phucking tragicomedy. Chei! A man completely lacking in intellect, sophistication, articulation and political pedigree was rightfully shamed last night grin

Although, I must concede, a good orator does not a good governor make!
That you KNOW what to do as governor does not mean you actually WANT to do those things.

If it was purely based on debates, then Shekarau would've been our president by now.

So, in the end, this debate ain't worth a shhiit. cool

Okay, reading my past posts on this thread, I can say I'm not too proud of them.

@OP - I'm really sorry if my comments were harsh. And please, do NOT be discouraged by our silly talk.
In honesty, I admire your ambitious efforts. However, what I think you should do is start with something a little smaller, like a 5 minute animated short.

Using just Adobe After-Effects, you can make a decent animation.

Just start from there.

Don't be discouraged cool

TV/MoviesRe: Trailer Of "Dead City - Rise Of The Aliens" (A New Nigerian Movie) by spade:
Jesu! Another embarrassment to my country's entertainment industry.

Where is the originality, I beg you!
Is this World War Z starring Chiwetalu Agu? Or is this I Am Legend starring Mr Ibu?

Did the maker of this movie plan to make an animation or did he just chicken out at the last minute?

Please, I'm sorry if I sound so harsh, but I think you should start with something a little smaller, like an animated short, and then gaining the experience instead of jumping into a full-length feature film.

Sorry, the originality is seriously non-existent.

I give this a Gentleman's F.
CelebritiesRe: Tiwa Savage And TeeBillz Interviewed At BBC Africa Studio by spade: 10:17pm On Oct 25, 2013
When I saw the headline, I actually thought the transcript of the interview was going to be posted.
20 seconds later, all I see is a collection of pictures that have neither left me more enlightened nor less bored than I was 20 seconds earlier.

This site has gone to the bingo dogs. What the hell is next? "Picture of D'Banj and Ikechukwu sitting and smiling in a room"? Oooh wait, we already HAVE done that!

Crap!

PropertiesRe: Bitter Experience Living With Landlords by spade: 1:30pm On Oct 25, 2013
If the landlord sees you even as much as have a bright future, he begins to encourage you to hook up with one of his daughters.
If you refuse, Oh boy, just get ready for your rent to increase by 350%

Make Nigeria just dare play match the same night wey you wan sleep early. Na his rusty JINLING generator set go dey scatter your head all through the night from upstairs.

And God don punish you the day wey you and your boyz go decide to chillax and throw small party and you no remember reserve small Don Simon for your oga at the top.

grin Anyway, my former landlord was a real guyman. 54 years of age, but he still acts like a homeboy full of his youth, so those are his features I listed there cool

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one completely sick of Melvin's absolute lack of style and sophistication.
Those goddamned T-shirts he keeps wearing EVEN to black-tie events, are getting out of hand.
And don't even get me started on that god-awful "Me sef don hammer" haircut he keeps sporting.

Seriously, somebody help this boy!
HealthRe: Cholera Death Toll In Plateau Rises by spade: 7:10pm On Oct 24, 2013
Awakulowo1: I can wager anything, Cholera started in Nigeria from the land of the dying sun, see how it is spreading nationwide.
Then could you be kind enough to explain why there are no instances of the disease in this aforementioned place, but in the West and the North?
Cholera is mostly caused by poor food hygiene and filthy lifestyles of dirty-asss iddiots; and we know the regions we can find such people in large supply.

If you listen to Fuji music, there is a good chance you're a thug.

If you listen to Flavour and Iyanya, then you're most likely a randy womanizer who'll eventually catch Syphillis.

Reincarnated: Was anybody ever suspended in secondary school?
Well, I've never been suspended, but there was this time I came reeeeeeeeally close.
During my JSS 2, I was making erotic sketches for some of my school friends for a quick buck (I was saving the money to get myself a GameBoy Advance), and somehow, Mr Ukachukwu got to see them.
Shiit hit the ceiling and he threatened to involve my parents in the matter.
After much pleading and frog-jumping, I was made to wash the ground floor toilet for a week. But I didn't really give a shhit about that cuz it was a much better option than the wahala I for enter, had my parents been informed.

StateOfMind: Hey spade, why did you run away. I don't buy that connection story.. tongue
Huh? The explanation is exactly as it happened. I'm in Calabar at the moment, and in the absence of decent Starcomms signal, I just gats to, atleast until Friday when I'll be going to Lag, settle for this Glo modem, which still times out like crazy and has so many limitations.

By the way grin, I'm still reading up on those past pages to catch up on this thread, and a particular comment of yours has caught my attention... Which I'll still address.

Oh, and it's nice to see you're atleast not running from me anymore grin

Car TalkRe: Japanese Or German Cars- Which Do You Prefer And Why? by spade:
German cars are generally made for rugged driving and excessive nitro. There's a certain kind of adrenaline rush you get when you're kicking it with these beasts.

Although, from my observations, they tend to burn quite a lot of fuel.

Errr... I go for Japanese grin
Japanese cars are far more reliable and fuel-economical. If you're a family person, it's the best car for you too.
I see no point in owning a super-fast German car in an area where most of its speed is even illegal.
