Yeah. I know. I was asking if I will know when it has been sent to ECFMG. I'm already ECFMG certified, so ECFMG won't be sending to my school.

Will the document status on that pane change when they send to ECFMG?
Were you previously ECFMG certified before registering with MCC?
I am asking mentioned you're certified and they won't be sending to your school.

I wrote the IELTS test with BC today in Port Harcourt. The venue was filled and we used about 2-3 halls. It was well organised, we started at around few mins past 9 and ended around 12:25pm for the LRW tests.
Overall it was fine, and hope the outcome in 13 days time will end in praise...
Goodlbuck to all of us!
BC Ph are usually well organized.

pls can any advice me on how to notarize/certify documents where and how also cost thanks all my chief
Hello, the cost depends on the notary official you meet.
I did mine for 10k.
A friend did for 15k (5k per document) and another 24k(8k) per document.
So I don't think there is a fixed amount.

@sparkle2k3: for your medicals at prime medical consultants, go early enough, 8am, with a photocopy of your passport data page, cash or ATM card(30k for adults, 20k to 25k for children). The pix centre for the x-ray is quite a distance from the hospital, I located it with Google maps. The entire process lasted about 2 hours for my boy and i.

Congrats to all those who received ITA today.
I just entered the pool today (471), looking forward to next draw.

I want to encourage anyone who hasn't written ielts before and may be getting scared and feeling they might have to do it severally. Pls just relax and practise as much as you can, and you would do okay.
The BC official where I wrote asked if it was my first time writing, I said yes.. And he was like "and do you think it will be your last" (with some attitude).. And that was just before my speaking. I said a resounding yes and thankfully had good scores.

I am silent reader, but I just wanted to drop this.

Yeah it does have more to do with better life than my career and even Considering a change in career.

vickyehi:
My candid advice to you is for you to write your plan ist and go to the uk. When you start working and earning better than Nigeria, you can start the process and come to canada only when u are done with it and have a job.
Anything else might sometimes be counter productive except your purpose of immigrating has more to do with a better life for your kids than your career. Which canada is the surest bet.

.

You can google Canadian Association of Nigerian Physicians and Dentists (CANPAD). Have it in mind that getting a license to practice in Canada would take years, some money, hardwork, some exams etc. U can always work elsewhere while u wait to pass the licensing exams.
Thank you.
I get that. Any idea of the kind of medical related offers or jobs one can do while waiting to be licensed?

Hola

I'm glad I found this thread and the other associated ones on nairaland. So much information.
Thanks to all that have been sharing so far.
I started MCC process in nov, and my docs arrived my school first week of Jan. But because of the NASU strike i hadnt been able to followup. Its been so frustrating. But I was able to send it last week and it arrived today. So looking forward to get my ECA soon.

Pls is there any thread for opportunities for Nigerian trained doctors in Canada? Or any one with information about practising there. I keep hearing its difficult to get into the system and don't know what exactly that means. Does it mean to get residency placement or GP jobs?

Please vcole were u able to get the exact specs (50mm x 70mm)for the passport photo that is to be attached to the identity confirmation form or did they accept the normal 50mm x 50mm passport photo dimension?
You can get the exact size required. Tell the photographer the specifications. Some of them are familiar and already have those settings.

Finally. After waiting for months.
I wish I hadn't waited but found a way to send it early. Cos that's what I eventually ended up doing.

Well this is good news for those still waiting.

Hi keep hope alive,

*Striking varsity non-teaching staff may call off strike Wednesday*

The Federal Government has agreed to source for about N8 billion to settle the Earned Allowance of striking non teaching staff of Nigerian Universities within the next five weeks.

The workers have therefore been asked to suspend their ongoing industrial action by Wednesday, March 14 to allow full activities to return to the campuses.

This decision formed part of the agreement reached between the striking workers under the Joint Action Committee and the federal government after two days of conciliatory meeting which also agreed that no worker will be victimized on account of taking part in the strike action.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, Minister of State for Education, Prof. Anthony Anwukah, President of the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU), Comrade Samson Ugokwe, President of the National Association Academic Technologists (NAAT), Com. Sani Suleiman and General Secretary of Non Academic Staff Union (NASU), Com. Peters Adeyemi.

The workers had gone on a total and indefinite strike action on December 4, 2017 as a result of failure of the Federal Government (FG) to implement some of the contents of the Agreement of 20th September, 2017 between the Federal Government and JAC.

The agreement, copy of which was made available to The Nation indicate that the government and the unions agreed that: “Government is to source for eight (cool billion naira within five (5) weeks to pay JAC of SSANU, NAAT and NASU members and members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), who did not get paid in the last disbursement exercise.

“The Federal Ministry of Education  reported that the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) has started payment of Salary Short falls and the process is still ongoing. The FME is to synergize with the concerned institutions to ensure compliance with Presidential Initiative on Continuous Audit (PICA) requirements to facilitate payments of JAC members in the Universities that are yet to comply.

“The National Salaries Incomes and Wages Commission (NSIWC) is to rework the 15th December 2017 Call Circular taking into consideration the observations of JAC of NAAT, NASU and SSANU with a view to ensuring that it complies with the National Industrial Court (NIC) judgment.

“The Federal Ministry of Education has made submissions to the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) for onward transmission to the National Council on Establishment (NCE) meeting, slated for 18th March, 2018, in Owerri and is expected to report the outcome in 5 weeks.

“The Federal Ministry of Education had put forward an application for the visitation panel to the Presidency and is to follow-up and report outcome in 5 weeks. The main thrust of visitation is to re-energize the Institution, unearth corruption and maladministration in these Institutions.

“It was also agreed that the Federal Ministry of Education would set in motion appropriate machinery for the release of White Paper in respect of previous visitation panel reports already with Government.

“The Honourable Minister of Labour and JAC leadership agreed that the ongoing strike would be suspended by Wednesday 14th March 2018, after due consultation with their National Executive Councils (NECs). No Worker would be victimized on account of this industrial action.”

im going into physiology dis year please can u tell mi sm course i will be facing during my 100lv
First why are you going into physiology?
I'm guessing you're wanted medicine but didn't get it? If yes I would suggest you repeat jamb and get in directly to medicine. Or get into a predegree medicine program that will guarantee you entry into medicine.

I graduated from physiology 10years ago. Went on and did medicine later on.
Physiology is a great course but not useful in Nigeria .
I personally won't advice any one to do it in Nigeria except you plan to be a physiology lecturer or will go further outside and maybe go into research.
