Subsidy or no subsidy, non of that should be our problem, government borrow all the time, this won't be the first and definitely won't be the last.

The N-Power scheme was instigated to reinvest the money we saved by fuel subsidy removal into paying our uneducated graduates to work for the period of 1 year.
When crude oil was selling for about $60 per barrel, and the importation cost of petrol was around 145 naira per litre, the federal government was paying almost nothing to subsidise fuel. So the money they could have spent on fuel subsidy was channelled in paying N power beneficiaries. That's why the scheme was working then.
Right now, crude oil sell for almost $180 per barrel and petrol importation cost 225 naira per liter when we are still buying fuel for 145, the 60 naira surplus is paid by the federal government through the NNPC. Due to the enormous quantity of petrol consumed in this country, the government now spends about 2.4 billion naira every day on fuel subsidy.
With such expenditure, where will the government get money to fund the N power scheme?
Why can't this government tell us the truth that they can no longer fund the scheme because they are unable to remove fuel subsidy completely.
They just keep lying to us about the scheme so that they could get our support at the polls. The truth is that for some months now, they haven't been able to pay those who were already admitted into the scheme. But they keep promising us that new beneficiaries will be recruited.
Even the feeding of primary school pupils stopped since last term in my area, yet this yeye government still boast of that as if it was a remarkable achievement in the first place. All this lies is just to seek our support at the polls.

I am not saying they are saints or they have made everything ok, but then if you want to say something don't back it up with lies!
your first lie is this crude oil was selling for about $60 per barrel, this period if you want to be sincere you should know it was below $40 dollars per barrel, now that is the lowest for more than 6 years!

This is not to say i want you to vote for so and so person, but just to tell you, if you want to criticize, be objective, don't just write rubbish and expect everyone to walk around it, this may be a public forum but what you say have a big impact as far as you can read and write!

I second this, though I am not a lawyer, but I think the moment you are not paid for two consecutive months, write a letter and wait their response, if they refuse to do anything after 2 weeks, write another letter and in there tell them if they don't pay you before the end of month, whatever you get that month you will be leaving with it.

Now if I were you, the moment I am not paid for a month and the next month is already over two weeks, I start going for interviews, no time to wait, by the next 3 weeks, if you are good at what you do, you should have at least gotten something to Start with, even if it's not as good as the previous job!

All these speeches by Lagos state govt concerning these new buses, is all talk, and plenty hype. The red BRT LAGBUS buses were also sparkling new at one time, before they became the ugly, scrappy, worn out, badly maintained vehicles, we currently see on our roads. The condition of the blue BRT buses is just marginally better, than those of its red counterparts.

I have always said one thing: our greatest drawback has always been in the area of maintenance. Our people, state and local govts have a very poor maintenance culture. And those charged with the operation and maintenance of these buses, never learn from the failures of previous bus schemes that had fallen apart, before their arrival. Anyway, I wish all commuters a happy ride on these new set of buses, before they fall into a state of disrepair. I give these new buses, another 18 months before they turn into rickety, worn-out metal contraptions like their predecessors.

What were you expecting, the buses should remain the same, they shouldn't get old? Some of those buses are from Fashola's first term, over 8 years! If things get old, new ones come, it's not a train!
