Politics › Re: How Feyi & Femi Akinsanya Survived The Plane Crash by specialguest(f): 9:43pm On Oct 06, 2013
I read an article by a pilot recently where he said the rear of an aircraft is the safest place to be when a plane crashes. An experiment with dummy passengers also proved that majority of the people sitting at the rear end would survive a crash to some certain extent as compared to those seated in the front. After reading this who still wants to fly first class? Nah I am very comfortable with my economy seat infact the farther it is from first class the better for me smiley

Rest in peace and may the Lord grant your newly wedded wife the fortitude to bear this unfortunate loss.

Secondly, i couldnt help but notice the part they said 'Nollywood actor and board of internal revenue staff' is it possible for a civil servant to be an actor at the same time? Someone who knows better should kindly explain to me.
Business › Re: I Lost N4M On First City Monument Bank Mobile Banking by specialguest(f): 6:42pm On Oct 02, 2013
ukcars: I have no problem with CBN asking banks to pay in Naira, my problem or rather question is , if the CBN want us to be paid in Naira instead of the foreign currency sent, should we also start depositing Naira equivalent into our domiciliary accounts instead of going to source for foreign currency from road side sellers (black market) and then taking it to the bank. I think it should work both ways.

BarryX: Nice thought !! There's still room for you
I don't think FCT is 20% developed -- there are still satellite towns --- you can start buying, its not too late !
Rightly said! Most people are now acquiring lands in these satellite towns because We cant afford to make the same mistake our parents made several years ago.

Monsieur op there seem to be alot going on in your tale right now. I think you have shifted the emphasis from your experience in Togo to describing the personalities of your classmates. To be honest, id prefer you stick to the original story line of this thread. Merci

Romance › Re: FYI Ladies: Did You Know Cooking For Your Man Means You're manliness-WHIPPED?! by specialguest(f): 12:08pm On Sep 17, 2013
dmcdad: Nigerian women of these days? I doubt that. Maybe you should ask some of your fellow female Nairalanders who have decided within themselves that if a man can't cook for himself, then he is on a long thing...

I guess they have been tryna imitating the likes of lady A and lady B. It's just sad...
Maybe you are referring to the ' Americanised' Nigerian ladies i mean The ones busy keeping up with the kardashians. Lolz

On a brighter note it depends on the type of relationship you guys have. But there's definately a stage in every serious relationship where the welfare of the man becomes the woman's business. Remember i said 'serious relationship' not the type you meet Ekaette today and expect she has to cook and clean after you next week.

Subscribing* You have a lovely sense of humor monsieur Tonye001... The raw garri part got me laughing real hard cheesy and so did Togo 101.2 story. I would like to know what happened in the rest of your west African tour.
Romance › Re: FYI Ladies: Did You Know Cooking For Your Man Means You're manliness-WHIPPED?! by specialguest(f): 9:01pm On Sep 16, 2013
I can only assume one thing from this write up, that lady A and lady B are Definately not Nigerians because a Nigerian lady has no issues cooking for her man. Afterall if i dont take care of him who will?

Politics › Re: INEC Disqualifies APC From Cross River LG Polls by specialguest(f):
CROSIEC is not the same as INEC. when I saw the Words INEC and local government polls I had to open this thread to read. CROSIEC is a state owned electoral management body and they are incharge of conducting LGA elections in the state. In the same manner they have ANSIEC Anambra state electoral commission and so on for other states. INEC was stopped from conducting LGA elections in the country sometime around 1999. Therefore INEC has no constitutional powers to interfere with LG polls except as observers.
Travel › Re: Lufthansa To Train 20 Nigerian Pilots by specialguest(f): 12:40pm On Aug 24, 2013
The topic should have been lufthansa to train 20 Niger delta pilots or lufthansa to train 20 'first family' relatives. Since it is no one's fault that some regions are earning more revenue for the nation than others, i am of the opinion that every region should be given equal number slots when opportunities like this arise irrespective of whether the region is producing just groundnuts and bitter cola instead of crude oil to avoid over empowering a certain people while others are left out..

Why not? I can marry a guy who works at LAPD, NYPD and Metro police.

Jokes apart, If I fall in love with an intelligent, smart and young Nigerian police officer and he has the qualities I desire in a husband why not? But I said officer o! from ASP and above not those other ranks that stay on the road and do patrol/extorting duties.

Cool, I"ll bookmark this page.
There"s something funny about number 15. I can imagine going to a shop to buy ice cream and right at the counter after paying I pause and do 10 push ups before I proceed to eat the ice cream. You can imagine the look on people"s faces right? Not all these tips are realistic however nice post op.
