A Nigerian man, identified as Michael Ilesanmi, has been reported missing eight weeks after he moved to America with his wife, Angel Deem

The 90 Day Fiancé star reportedly left without his passport, phone and all his belongings and is now being treated as a missing person case

His wife, Angel, said she left him babysitting to get him some food and cigarettes and could not find him when she returned

90 Day Fiancé's Michael Ilesanmi has been declared missing two months after he migrated to the United States with his wife.

90 Day Fiancé confirmed the development in a post on Instagram and shared a picture of Michael and Angel Deem, his wife.

Islamic cleric under attack after calling for President Tinubu’s wife, Remi Tinubu to be killed (VIDEO)


Nigerian Supreme Council for Ecclesiastical Affairs (NSCEA) has called and pressured for a very urgent arrest and prosecution of the Islamic Cleric, who in his video placed “Fatwa” on first lady, Remi Tinubu as they always called it, calling for the killing of First Lady,.

Speaking at NSCEA Secretariat, while the video has attracted public outrage, Bishop Prof. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies Secretary General,
Nigerian Supreme Council for Ecclesiastical Affairs (NSCEA) reacting to the speech says, “that security agencies should immediately arrest him and prosecute him immediately as a matter of urgency.”

“The hate speech is unacceptable and no apology is acceptable, he should be used as a deterrent and an example to all his likes” she added.
In a report published on February 22, 2024 by Vincent Osuwo, “A Muslim cleric has called for the killing of Remi Tinubu, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“The cleric, in a sermon, noted that Mrs. Tinubu is an “infidel” who should be killed.

Speaking in Hausa, the cleric stated that “now, Tinubu’s wife is an infidel, and even as an infidel, she is the head amongst infidels.

In his words, “She’s the type that Allah has instructed us to kill because she’s among the leaders of infidels.”
The Imam also added that, “though married to a Muslim, Mrs. Tinubu should be killed because she is a pastor.”

She said most people misunderstood Akeredolu’s love for her because they could not believe in true love themselves. 

 

She also chastised people who accused Akeredolu of being a weakling for enabling her to have an impact on his government, claiming that they had no respect for their wives, which is why they were offended by Akeredolu's open and public display of love to her. 

 

She said, The former first lady said “It’s me, your adorable Betty. You just left me. Just like that! It hurts. Badly it hurts. Now alone to face all manners of mockery from the so-called friends and adversaries alike. Now alone. A beg o! Can an Amotekun generalissimo be a weakling? Mbanuu! It doesn’t add up nau. Haba!”

“Not a few lashed out that you (Akeredolu) were a weakling because you loved me. I don’t think so in their homes while growing up they saw their mothers trampled upon as doormats. By the way, do they know what love is?

Makinde tags Akpabio as fake news purveyor over alleged N30B for food security (VIDEO)


In a recent statement on Thursday, the Governor of Oyo State and member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Seyi Makinde, has challenged the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, over the alleged spread of fake news. Makinde categorically stated that the Federal Government did not allocate N30 billion to any state for food security, terming the claims as mere propaganda.

Governor Makinde expressed his disappointment in the Senate President, who, as the third-ranking official in the country, shared an unverified report. He emphasized that leaders should maintain credibility and provide confidence to the people during these challenging times. Rather than playing politics and searching for scapegoats, Makinde urged leaders to engage with the public and address issues of hunger and anger in the country.

The governor firmly declared that there was no truth to the allegations of N30 billion being given to states for food security. He called for anyone to challenge his statement, not only for Oyo State but also for his fellow governors across the country.

The management, staff, students and the entire campus of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, have been thrown into mourning following the untimely death of Mr. Olabode Olawuyi.
A release by the Public Relations Officer of the University, Abiodun Olarewaju, stated that Mr Olawuyi, a Veterinary Technologist, who has been in charge of the Zoological garden for over a decade, was attacked this afternoon, Monday, 19th February, 2024, by a 9 – year old male lion when he was feeding them in their den at the Zoological garden of the University.

The other members of staff who were at the scene of the incident did everything within their power to rescue their boss but the wild cat had already caused severe fatalities.

On hearing the sad news, the management team, led by the Vice Chancellor, abruptly ended an on going meeting for an on the spot assessment Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adebayo Simeon BAMIRE, was informed, on arrival, by the Acting Director of the University Health and Medical Centre Dr. Tirimisiyu Olatunji, that all first aid and medical efforts to save the life of the victim proved abortive.

Saddened by this tragic event, the aggressive Lion has been euthanized.

Mr Olawuyi has been taking care of the lions since they were born on campus about 9 years ago but, tragically, the male Lion killed the man who had been feeding them.
The University management has sent a delegation to the widow and children of the deceased, imploring them to take solace in God who gives life and also has the power to take life.

Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adebayo Simeon BAMIRE, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the immediate and remote causes of the incident.

The former Minister of Communications, Barr. Adebayo Shittu has praised his colleague, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode over his write up on Sunday, titled "The Israel Of Shaitan".

In the write up, Fani-Kayode who is the Sadaukin of Shinkafi and the Wakilin Doka Potiskum, a Lawyer, a former Minister of Aviation and a former Minister of Culture and Tourism took swipe on the Israelite over alleged maltreatment of people in Gaza and Palestinians.

According to him, the State of Israel has been busy bombing and slaughtering the Christian and Muslim women and children of Rafah and its sprawling refugee camp in far away Gaza despite the stern warnings and desperate pleas from the rest of the world.

Octogenarian, Olowofela,  12 others arraigned over Ekiti kidnappings

In a recent development regarding the kidnapping and murder of Brigadier General Olusegun Aremu-Cole, the alleged kingpin of the kidnap syndicate, Pa Banji Olowofela, along with 12 other suspects, has been arraigned in a Magistrate Court by the Kwara State police command.

Olowofela, an octogenarian, was arrested on February 5, 2024, following a tip-off by a member of the syndicate who had been arrested in Ijowa Ekiti, in Ajoni Locall Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ekiti State.

The Olukoro of Koro was killed in his palace during an attempted kidnapping, while his wife and two other natives were abducted. The Kwara State Police Command, along with other security personnel, swiftly reacted to the incident, leading to the arrest and arraignment of Olowofela and his accomplices.

The suspects, including Adefalolu Ayodele, Tewasi Francis, Babatunde Samuel, Miracle Solomon, Godwin Joseph, Issa Number, Abraham Kehinde, Muhammed Bello, Muhammed Muhammed, Ahmadu Umaru, and Muhammed Dankai, were charged with the alleged murder of the Olukoro of Koro. The charges against them include criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide, kidnapping, and giving false information.

During the arraignment, the Magistrate, Mrs. Monisola Kamson, ordered that the suspects be remanded at a Federal Correctional Service facility in Ilorin, the state capital. The case has been adjourned until March 5, 2024, for further hearing.

The Kwara State police prosecution, led by Abdullah Sanni, requested the Court to remand the suspects, emphasizing the seriousness of the charges against them. The police charge sheet revealed that the suspects had pointed a gun at the Olukoro, ordering him to follow them. However, when he resisted, his grandson was able to escape through the backdoor, while the suspects proceeded to kill the monarch and kidnap his wife and another individual named Mercy.

A 55 year old father of six simply identified as Abib a.k.a Bibson has committed suicide at Ashaka area of Ibadan, in Ibadan South West Local Government Area of Oyo state.

It was gathered that the incident which occurred on Sunday night was discovered by neighbours who decided to break the door open on Monday morning.

Some of those who forced the door open, narrated to this reporter how the deceased body was found dangling on a rope tied to a ceiling fan in the living room.

A source said the remains of Abib was brought down the rope with the help of a traditionalist after a brief ritual.

A neighbour who gave his name as Akeem explained that the body was lowered after the case was reported at Mapo Police station , Ibadan.

A senior police officer attached to Mapo Police station , Ibadan who spoke with this reporter in confidence, confirmed the incident, after explaining how two police officers visited the scene while investigating the incident.

Many who knew the deceased well in the neighborhood described him as a peaceful and hardworking man.

According to one of the neighbours , the deceased who had a dry cleaning business had wound on his hand which was operated sometime ago.

The father of six was also said to have divorced his wife due to inability to resolve marital problems.

At the scene of the incident, scores of people were seen expressing sympathy , while others wondered what might have happened.

On what led to Abib’s resolve to take his life, one of the co-tenants who spoke on condition of anonymity narrated how the deceased had a struggle with family and life’s anxieties.

She said ”Abib, was a well known dry cleaner in this area . His wife had Long separated from him after six children. Life has not been easy with him as he struggled to make ends meet. Later, he had a sore on his finger, which affected his dry cleaning business .

”The finger was operated sometime ago, but the sore later spread. Intact , we learnt the doctors said he needed strong medication, to avoid amputation. He was really facing alot in life. It was shocking to learn he has taken his life.”

It was learnt the body of the deceased has been interred by members of his family at one of the public cemeteries in Ibadan.

VIDEO: 17 year old boy reawakened from mortuary 8 days after he was declared dead

The mysterious reawakening of a 17-year-old boy in Cameroon, whom medical professionals pronounced dead, has left many in disbelief and confusion.

The teenager identified as Poupog Kevin had been declared dead from drowning, but he was found sitting outside a mortuary at CEBEC hospital in Bonaberi, Douala over a week later.

The incident attracted a large crowd as they gathered to catch a glimpse of the body of the ‘boy who came back to life.’

Local media reports that the 17-year-old had gone to swim at Bellevue Hotel in Douala and he drowned in the pool on Sunday, Jan. 28. His body was then deposited in the mortuary.

Eight days after Kevin drowned, mortuary attendants found him sitting outside the mortuary on Monday, February 5. The deceased who had been naked when placed in the mortuary was seen wearing a white robe and underwear.

Head mortician, Louis Maries Mbella, told reporters that he was alerted by the security guard at the mortuary section the hospital that the young man brought in the previous week left the mortuary and was now sitting outside.

Mbella said: “It was around 3am (Monday) when the security guard knocked at my door to inform me that someone had taken a chair to sit outside. I approached the young man and asked him, ‘Why did you take this chair outside, and when they asked you refused to react?’ He said nothing.”

“I now put on my phone’s torch light and pointed at him, that is when I discovered that it was the young man who died last Sunday. I went inside to check if truly he was the one and I discovered that he was not where we had embalmed and left him. All those inside were naked but he was outside, eyes closed, but he was smiling”.

Eyewitnesses say Kevin murmured the words, “Anne you promised me.” But his mother, Catherine Kouete, refused to believe the story and she asked how her dead son could move or speak.
“How can a dead body move like that and sit on a chair? It doesn’t sound well to me. I think it is a setup. I don’t know… we have never seen this,” the grieving mother told reporters.

Officials at the hospital revealed that the body of the deceased teen has since been “sent back to the mortuary”.

2 illegal miners arrested in Akobo Ibadan for allegedly hiding explosives (VIDEO)

Two illegal miners were arrested in Akobo, Ibadan for allegedly hiding explosives.

The police arrested the two non-Yoruba men, who are suspected to be from the Nupe tribe in Niger State. The suspects were apprehended at Harmony Quarters in Elekuro, Akobo, an area in the capital city of Oyo State.

Following a tip-off from residents regarding their mining activities and suspicions of keeping explosives in their house, the police discovered that the suspects were operating an illegal mining laboratory.

The arrest took place two weeks after an explosion that resulted in fatalities and property destruction in the Bodija area of Ibadan, allegedly caused by miners storing explosives.

During the arrest, various chemicals were found in the building occupied by the two suspects. The arrested men have been detained at the Oyo State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (State SCID).

The legal miners were reportedly apprehended after persistent efforts by neighbors to identify the occupants of the building and understand their activities.
